    As someone very new to the game the break down is very simplified and I appreciate that i can follow along even though I know next to nothing

    You, sir, do the community a great service. Thank you for this deck tech. I am really enjoying this game and hope we don’t see broken cards. Do you truly think this deck is broken to the point where it might hurt the game?

    • @BagelTCG
      @BagelTCG  Před 2 lety

      I think the deck can be beaten and has major weaknesses, it’s more the randomness I don’t like. Also that’s so nice thank you!

    I appreciate you sharing your decklist in the midst of ProQuest and such. Do you by any chance have a Prism deck in the works or would use to combat the meta?

    • @BagelTCG
      @BagelTCG  Před 2 lety

      I do not, but I will be going over some popular decks tomorrow from proquest and I’ll see if I can find a winning list for each popular hero!

  • @solaniancommunitycollege9256

    Top quality content as always... Any chance you have a list of Tariq's winning Starvo list last week? It'll be interesting to know how the deck has been evolving along with the meta. I've seen list with Sledge of Anvilheim with Lead the Charge and dual wield Wail as a cute way to bash Prism's aura. It's exciting to witness the meta shape up.

    • @BagelTCG
      @BagelTCG  Před 2 lety

      Thanks so much! I unfortunately don’t have his exact list but it was pretty standard. I don’t think you need to do anything cute to beat prism, just kill auras with your wail after going face with dominate until they’re at like 10-15 health and then go only face until they die.

    Great vid, this is definitely the deck to play this weekend. I do like having Stalagmite as well, it destroys aggro decks. I don't think this deck will survive with no changes before the PT. ;)

    • @BagelTCG
      @BagelTCG  Před 2 lety +2

      I think stalagmite is likely only for the mirror and maybe prism, but I also don’t own the card and I wanted to share the exact list I’m playing. I would include it maybe if I had it but don’t think it’s 100% necessary

    • @BagelTCG
      @BagelTCG  Před 2 lety +2

      Also I totally agree it will get some change before the PT

    Awesome deck is there a budget version of this that can still win most games if so can you do a video? Thanks

    • @BagelTCG
      @BagelTCG  Před 2 lety +1

      Unfortunately the equipment is pretty necessary for this deck, and it can be expensive. The important equipment is rampart and crown of seeds, and I think both are around $150. Outside of that the deck isn’t too expensive

    • @theultimategod

    I really think that Oldhim could be a decent pick for this format depending how much of this guy you see. The main thing holding Oldhim back is his awful matchup vs Prism :/ but if it ends up being full fields of Starvo then I would be taking Oldhim for sure.

    • @BagelTCG
      @BagelTCG  Před 2 lety

      I agree. I think the problem is prism is okay into starvo and is quite popular right now, and like you said oldhim gets ruined by her. But the less popular prism is the better Oldhim gets

  • @superfunforce8052
    @superfunforce8052 Před 2 lety +1

    the only way to fix this deck is errata oaken old and awakening to Oldhim specialization.... then it will at least start to be fair :)) great character though and plenty fun to play!

      @@BagelTCG Exactly! Especially since Oaken Old is basically a Crippling Crush, and awakening is Show Time! As a matter of fact, Starvo makes show time useless since every player just uses awakening...

    What do you sideboard out for Staunch Response against old and new Bravo?

    • @BagelTCG
      @BagelTCG  Před 2 lety

      I play with a core of 51 cards, so I don’t have to take anything out. I just add in 9 cards every game, and in those matchups 3 of those 9 would be the staunches

  • @Lootaful
    @Lootaful Před 2 lety +2

    I see decks running Heart of Ice and I think that's wrong since it doesn't fit your gameplan to put a card in arsenal every turn since the play pattern of this deck is: Reveal, pitch a blue to play a 3 cost and then pitch a blue ice to Warden's Wail and then card in arsenal. If you're really worried about arcane damage you can run the arcane lantern. And no ice shield to slow down aggro decks or they aren't a problem you think?
    But yes this deck is stupid and a lot of games become uninteractive. The only way to counter this deck is through discard mechanics or just presenting so much damage they can't ignore you. Because even just you goldfishing at the end there you actually don't care what your opponent is doing.

    • @BagelTCG
      @BagelTCG  Před 2 lety +1

      I think arcane lantern over heart of ice is a solid choice. I unfortunately don’t own ice shield and I wanted to show off my exact list. Also yes, this deck is really dumb and needs some sort of change

    • @Lootaful
      @Lootaful Před 2 lety

      @@BagelTCG I feel that. As a poor student I'm just taking Showstopper to my PQs. My Starvo matchups seem to be whoever can find Crippling first wins lol

  • @JoeFishLewis

    If this deck is really OP OP then what gets banned? Crown seems like the biggest enabler but a ban would hit Oldhim pretty hard too. Also they don’t seem to like to hit Legendaries. Oaken Old also hits Oldhim? Another functional errata of the hero? Maybe banning the pulses would put enough of a dent in the consistency of the deck? Maybe revert all the briar and chane bans? Feels bad whatever they do. Just wait for it hit living legend?
    It’s a shame. The deck looks really fun. I’d love to try it out but by the time I managed to get together all the legendary equipment it would just eat a ban. Let’s hope someone comes up with a way to keep it in check.

    • @BagelTCG
      @BagelTCG  Před 2 lety +1

  • @us3rnam3144
    @us3rnam3144 Před 2 lety +2

    this deck is really luck based tbh, can destroy or studder, lots of the decks have something to do in bad hands, played pretty much this deck in last armory and 1 round crushed, then next 2 rounds could barely do anything. Your crowning away your arsenal most games too so if ya not drawing what ya need can really get wrecked.

    • @BagelTCG
      @BagelTCG  Před 2 lety +1

      Yeah you can definitely get unlucky with it too. Crown of seeds makes the deck a little too consistent though

    • @us3rnam3144
      @us3rnam3144 Před 2 lety +1

      @@BagelTCG yeah seeds helps, though your also losing your arsenal slot to it constantly + paying for it (tunic helps though of course). Though bad draws and running out of steam is a major issue with this deck. If decks can hold ya off long enough while gathering their own steam (prism, viserai, etc), then ya really can't win. Once everyone catches on to this then i don't think it will really perform as well but the few lucky hands in a row can really ruin anyone's day. Also when rangers sideboard in Fatigue Shot you are really in for a bad time

    • @superfunforce8052
      @superfunforce8052 Před 2 lety

      Do you want to play online? I guarantee my build will utterly destroy whatever you have consistently :) I mean, can you ever gain tempo back after crippling crush, crippling crush, oaken old, spinal crush, oaken old, pulverize, spinal crush, pulverize....? the only luck this deck gets is high rolling which = win more haha
