Great content 👌 a little tip that works for me is large bait bands to attach the prawn to leaving the whole hook exposed...works a treat 👍

We like using a Quickstop on a raw prawn! A few of our guys use the Mega Bands too.

I tried quickstops and liked that i didnt lose baits as much however when a fish did unfortunately swallow the hook down i would find it hard to see where the bloody thing was as the prawn would be in the way. Decided the loss of the baits was better than unhooking nightmares but the price of those prawns soon adds up 😄

I have that 1.1 lb quiver, a lovely little rod. Highly recommended.

Interesting. The use of the heavy lead etc. I used to use rigs like this, and use bobbins, alarms etc. Though these days Ive switched. It may sound 'wrong' to many but I now use a specimen tip rod and simply run main line straight to hook with 2 or 3 SSG pinched 10 inches back. The reel is on the bait runner so if they tear off I get audible indication and they get some line. I get very strong pulls, there doesn't seem to be any issue with resistance. I will use this with prawn, lob or live where allowed. One tip I will always give is to take a whip with you and tiddler bash while you wait for a run, this draws the Perch in. The vibrations of playing them and the splash and flash as you drop them back in. My fishing hasn't suffered going so simple, in fact improved with a new PB at Christmas of 4lb 15oz. I do use the All rounder (multi tipped version) rod however. I like the rods for the slim build and action, they have an annoying downside however and that is the tip guide seems too large or the profile is 'catchy' where the line is forever getting caught up as the line wont slip back over it should the line accidentally loop over it.

Advice please.. The predator natural club pond I’m fishing has large pike and carp to 20lb, large bream and roach.
Should I use 6lb knottable wire that I use for lure fishing but I don’t want to hurt a carp, or use flouro and get cut off by a pike, i fish for anything maximum bites.
