    Tested both on the same day. Prefer the 1.4 for the following reasons
    1. Better ride bec of 18in wheels
    2. Quieter upon acceleration from 0 to 100 bec of front wheel drive only.
    3. Engine sounds quieter while crushing.
    4. Only looses out to the extra power of 2 lit 4motion. I don't really mind that since both can reach 200kmh.

    Tested the R-line recenly and I must say it is fast! I remembered Al Bakri Salehuddin once said on Rodapusing's vid that Tiguan is an "SUV yang pakai terompah". Well spot on.

    @2:36 nice rhymes - "I already expected the Tiguan R-Line to beat the Highline in a straight line"

    Any noticeable difference in both 6 speed vs 7 speed DSGs? Looking for comments on how natural is the creep at low speed, responsiveness starting from stand still and shift speeds. Thanks.

    When you pulled the lever to release the back seat, I thought that plastic was going to snap. Lol!

    From the spec of Tiguan 1.4 Highline, it has max torque 250 NM between 1.500 - 3.500 rpm. It means that it has lower torque in the higher rpm. Do you feel it will be under power in the rpm more than 4.000 or what ? How is your experience when you test the car ? Thank you so much for the sharing.

    I really like the way that you describe the capability of the "cramped" 3rd row seat Jerica with 158cm height, Faisal 174cm.... for short distance ok lah...👍

    Kinda weird how they put the 7 speed DSG in the 2.0 R-Line and 6 speed DSG in the 1.4 Highline. thought usually VW puts their 7 speed dry clutch in the less powerful variants and 6 speed wet clutch in the more powerful ones.

    • @jef3366
      @jef3366 Před 3 lety +2

      The 7sp is wet Cluth

    • @josephmanzuni8593
      @josephmanzuni8593 Před 3 lety +5

      VW does not use dry clutch in its newer models anymore. These are all wet clutch transmissions

      @@budantan yeah true, but I'm sure he's comparing to the current GTi mk7.5 on the current Malaysia market as of this year, that's released by VPCM. Not the previous mk7 220PS

    if there are 7 persons riding at the 1.4 variant, does it feel sluggish?

    • @vincenttan1398

      If underpowered aruz can fetch 7 people, 1.4T is more than sufficient to fetch 7 ppls.

    • @dzat
      @dzat Před 3 lety +3

      Tiguan 1.4 250nm torque are about the same as a 2.5 liter alphard/verfire minivans.....so should be sufficient and the 1.4 liter tiguan torque have the advantage since its torque starts from low 1,500rpm onwards
