    It seems odd for a car review from the caravan and Motorhome club to not once mention the cars towing capacity. 🤷🏻

    I think if Nissan add an optional plug-in to accessories this will be the best technology for transition period of ICE to EV.
    I just start having a car for 1 year. never had my entire life where I am in mid 30s. When I encounter acceleration problem during roundabouts and also hear long distance charging issues I suddently thought about this. Seeing actually a Japanese company did that is an amazing news for me.
    Please Nissan bring the optional Plug-in so I put my deposit down 😂

    I wonder if you can plug in a 12V fridge or Starlink and use e-power system for charging those device. Maybe it could work as a power station with a generator? That would be super useful for camping

      separate batteries, the 'regular' car battery would do the 12v fridge like a coolbox in a regular vehicle and the higher voltage battery is purely there to drive the wheels

    Won’t be visiting my Nissan Dealer anytime soon, soft suspension, lots of technical bits and bobs to go wrong, struggled with a caravan that’s lighter than the one I own, NEXT!

      Must be one heavy caravan you have then as it pulls our not so light coachman 545 effortlessly

      The reviewer stated the car “ was out of its comfort zone” towing the Unicorn at a 1590 MRO, my van is indeed heavier. Good to hear it pulls your Coachman effortlessly.

    As a tow car it’s rubbish, 23mpg 😂. All this “green” malarkey is far from it.

      as a tow car it is great, as an economical tow car it is far from green I agree. Couple of hundred miles through the Scottish hills and I don't think I seen 20mpg, but I was expecting it to be low tbh, on the flip side though there wasn't a hill it couldn't take at the maximum permissible towing speed (so far).

    So, remembering this is supposed to be a caravan tow car review, this new Xtrail is awful and yet another backwards step. Why do you all keep apologising, and making excuses for these modern hybrid and EV cars? Tell the truth, as tow cars, they're rubbish.

      Have you actually towed with this car? It pulls our coachman 545 very well 💪

      Sorry if this is a daft question but why does the 7 seater have a lower towing limit at 1650kg versus the 1800kg for the 5 seat version please?

    • @KevinMcCoolUK
      @KevinMcCoolUK Před 9 měsíci +1

      @@theslothkitchen not sure tbh, might be that the 7 seater is heavier or has the potential to be heavier when fully laden so therefore the tow weight needs to be dropped to compensate? Totally guessing though.
