Even though Damon jokes around, he does care about Stefan and we see that in this episode. I was happy that Caroline won bc she actually wanted it and Elena was only doing it bc it had mattered to her mother, not bc she wanted to win. The genuine happiness in Elenas face when she hugs Caroline after the winner is announced is the purest thing.
Caroline's mum, the sheriff, is a Forbes by marriage. So she's on the Founder's Council but through Caroline's dad.
The reason Stephan was on animal blood is because he's what's known as a Ripper, a Vampire who can't control his lust for human blood.
And a million Delena ships officially set sail
Stefan is actually a psycopath when he's on human blood
This miss mystic falls dance created a lot of Damon and Elena shippers. I had seen a lot of chemistry between them in their scenes together and loved their dynamic but this was the moment where I was like wait 👀 then at the end Elena stayed outside of the cell so Damon stayed and sat on the floor as well to wait with her. My ship for the show was officially locked in.
Can’t wait to see the reaction to the finale and s2! Lots of good theories in this reaction, it’ll be interesting to see which you guys were right or wrong about as you continue watching :)

In the previous episode Caroline said her dad is a Forbes who is a founding family but her mom “didnt get the gene” to be miss mystic since her family she was born into wasnt a founding.

@@kpj2224 ripper Stefan isn’t any worse than no humanity Damon. They’re as bad as each other in that respect. The only difference between them is that Stefan generally doesn’t do bad thing when his humanity is on whereas Damon does occasionally

This episode shows that Stefan is hypocritical and manipulative (which makes him a better character then just a goodie) many hate Damon when in reality Stefan is also the same. The difference is Damon doesn’t deny it or hide it in any way. I love both of them because they’re super compelling and interesting to watch.
And you see how they change and grow throughout the show
I also think Stefan didn’t want to be open and honest because he finds it embarrassing that he can’t control his addiction to blood, but that’s what it is an addiction but most of the others didn’t want to believe how bad it was ( or Damon did and he just didn’t care ) so I’m glad they’re trying to now help him even though the damage has already been done
yup, a lot of people think i hate stefan just because i say he's just as bad as damon if not worse but that's not true, i just wish people would stop acting like he's not a complex character and 'just a good guy' or the 'better man' they both have done a TON of stuff, they are vampires that have lived more than 100 years, it's to be expected when your food source is people
'good vampires' do not exist even when it comes to the most controlled vampire most has at least killed someone
that's how the show is, these characters are all supposed to be gray and i think you can't truly enjoy the show or all of it's characters without knowing that
@@JazMegan regarding Damon, his idea from the start as we’ve seen was to get him to drink and learn control by it. Even back in the 90s. It was understood that he was a ripper but they didn’t know how to fix it, just that idea was present. He totally cared, but after he turned his humanity off that’s when some of the other events happened.
But I totally agree Stefan chooses to avoid. That’s his entire character (avoid blood, avoid facing the problem) etc

Caroline is from a founding family. The council members are founding families.
When we saw the ball that the Lockwoods hosted (when Tyler didn’t want to take Vicky in), they read the signatures of the founding families.
The Forbes have always been the towns sheriff, the Lookwoods - Mayors, The Gilbert’s - medicine, Fells - reporters.
In this episode, a guy with the name Fells was announced as an escort. There are other Fells around & that’s why Logan couldn’t get into his apartment.
Pearl, Anna & Katherine and Harper all were outside in daylight. So, they all have something magical to keep them from burning in the sun.
Elena didn't rehearse the dance with Damon? Are you guys forgetting that Damon lived through the time period that the Miss Mystic Falls pageant is trying to replicate. When he was young and human he was dancing like this on a regular basis.
The main reason everyone freaks out saying they can’t wait for this episode or they love this episode is because of the moment damon steps in for elena when stefan leaves her hanging. Everyone thinks that’s such a cute moment and loves the little dance moment and stuff lol.
Wouldn’t say Stefan left her hanging, he’s out of control atm and someone saw him so he couldn’t have just let her stay there

I was thinking if I was a vampire. I would probably compel a nurse and some people to donate blood in my home. Then compel them to forget it.
Started watching this show for the first time with you guys. I usually watch the episode then the reaction but I’m now on 2x15. I remember watching this one and it was a yikes for Stefan in my book. He was gaslighting Elena “given the way you’re acting right now can you blame me” and “come on Elena, I thought you believed in me” 😣 Stefan proclaiming himself to be the good brother “I don’t hurt people, I’m the good brother” and pushing Elena against a wall rubbed me the wrong way and brought him down in my rankings for the characters so far 🙃 Anyway, season 2 is so good and the show seems to just be getting better so I’m excited for the rest of the reactions.
And that’s the thing, Stefan and Damon both have issues- all characters in this show are in a way human and not perfect. Stefan is manipulative and definitely has that side to him, he’s not just a good person and perfect like many solo stans choose to think while they hate on Damon. But that’s also whats so compelling and great to watch. It’s makes it that much better.
That’s exactly why Stefan’s my fav character. He’s tries so hard to be good and he generally is. But when when he’s under pressure he shows some more realistic sides. Not many shows makes or can make the “perfect” guy two dimensional. More than likely they don’t or the do it terribly. Stefan character is perfect in that reguard imo.
I agree, he definitely has those “bad” tendencies. But they (Damon and Elena) didnt need to confront him about it seeing as he’s done no wrong so far. Sure he robbed the hospital but it’s not like he’s done it multiple times. I’m sure if he kept his diet under control only drinking blood a few times a day, conserving the blood to last longer, then maybe there would be no worries from the council as the hospital robberies aren’t occuring so frequently.

@@cptayne no. He wasn't pacing himself and was gorging himself on the blood. He would have been out in days and back to robbing the hospital again, and dam on was worried because John was alerting the council to it.
With Bonnie/Grams if I remember correctly
Grams wasn’t really convinced by anyone, she said she would do it bc she had planned on keeping them in the tomb. Remember she said that when they went in they weren’t coming out, she opened the door but never planned on actually breaking the seal that keeps the vampires in. They had been discussing how Damon wasn’t going to stop until he had Katherine back and Grams said “I’ll open the tomb” then told Stefan, Bonnie, and Elena that Damon could take Katherine and the rest had to be set on fire.
Exactly. People blame Elena but Grams volunteered and bonnie pushed her to fully put the veil down
This is one of the best episodes of season 1, after the season finale. We're so close to the finale, too! It's mindblowing.

Caroline's father Mr Forbes was a founding member, her Mom is simply the sheriff of the town. Also Stefan is quite rare of a vampire. Sadly at this point everyone including Damon would think he's dramatizing about his hunger issues. Stefan however unlike most vampire wouldn't stop just he's eaten enough, he'll go on a spree and that's not because he had transition himself not to drink human blood for a long time but his body simply wouldn't stop at any point once he starts. The next episode is probably my favorite since it would showcase the flashbacks and Katherine's true feelings. Also no one forced Bonnie, Elena was stuck inside the tomb because of which Bonnie convinced her grandma to open the tomb which didn't end well and her grandmother died. At this point she has every right to be angry at Salvatore siblings and be awkward with Elena. I can't wait for next week for your reaction.

Jonathan’s inventions were created by Emily in fact.
Jonathan created rings and watches and compasses and then Emily put spells on them without Jonathan knowing that she was a witch.
Jonathan bel ever that he by himself created all these things!
But for each of Jonathan’s inventions they is a spell and a de-spell in Emily’s Grimoire!
