Whoever feels like the situation is bleak, read the Quran, study the Seerah of the Prophet and the lives of previous Prophets. Instead of seeing the situation is bleak, you will see that the things we face today are more or less the same challenges that have faced true believers from the beginning. The Prophet Muhammad is the most beloved to Allah, and yet he was shunned, mocked, boycotted, kicked out of his home, had many major losses … but his ally was Allah. This ummah needs to go back to its roots, realign our purpose for this life Allah has given us, take the Dunya out of hearts and strive our best in whatever shape or form that may be. Oh Allah, forgive us as an Ummah, strengthen our hearts, take the Dunya out of hearts so we are not blinded and numbed by it, and give us clarity regarding the purpose you have created us for, and grant us victory against your enemies. Ameen Ya Rabb

"This segment was brilliant, and I truly appreciate the insights shared by Sammy, but as Sammy says many people may not like it but I have to say it, I would also like to tell Sammy and the rest, one of the main reasons Palestine can stand strong today is not because of Turkey, Pakistan, Algeria, or any other country. It is because of Iran, whether we like it or not.
The regime has its flaws, just like any other regime, but it is one of the few governments that has not been swayed by external pressures. One of the main reasons Palestine, Gaza and Hamas can still stand strong to an extent is because of Iran and Hizbullah’s support, whether we like it or not.

It is one of the few countries that does not have an Israeli embassy. During the Iraq-Iran war, you can say the whole world, including most Arab countries all, The USA, European nations,Former USSR, was against Iran at the time, and showered Saddam with the best arms and ammunitions of the time, yet Saddam could not win the war, and took out his frustration on his best ally Kuwait!
It is one of the few countries that can lambast western nations and the Only main competent opponent Israel is scared of is Iran. Not Turkey, not any Arab country, not North African country, not Pakistan.
Whether we like it or not, Iran's Islamic revolution sparked a renewed interest in Islam globally, and combined with Turkey’s economic prosperity after Erdogan Islam took a stronger hold. And most recently the fancy Global image of UAE and Qatar helped people to understand in a different light, whether we like the policy of UAE, that’s a different topic.
My point is that Allah brings light to Islam in various ways, even if the means may not appear appealing at first, but can ignite an interest in Islam for those whom He wishes to guide. For instance, Islam in countries such as Malaysia and Indonesia has gained a better reputation in countries like Japan and Korea.
Currently, Iran is one of the most oppressed countries, having faced the harshest sanctions in the world for 40 years, yet it has made remarkable advancements in technology, with over 90% of its brainpower being domestic, despite all the global sanctions.
Despite eight years of war, Iran played a significant role in helping Iraq eliminate ISIS, whether you admit it or not. I believe you are aware of this fact deep down.
Regarding the issue of Syria, I am not a fan of Asad, but if he were removed, the situation would have been worse than Libya's current state, and Daesh/ISIS or a western puppet would have been put in place who would have easily handed Syria over to Israel, who openly supported ISIS, either because of weakness of power or will.
There are many factors at play behind the scenes that we may not be aware of, but we must acknowledge the good that has been done, even if the intentions may not be pure, as God's will unfolds in mysterious ways.
In conclusion, I would like to say that many people may leave Islam during these extremely testing times, because they are born Muslims, not guided by Allah. However, this does not matter to Allah, as He has promised to replace them with others whom He has guides.

The thing is, now it should be something more than being beggars, being destitute as nations. Its hard work. There are always some people who can see the route to economic prosperity, but then there are a thousand or tens of thousands, who can be manipulated easily by weaponizing religion and using their emotions. How to educate a nation, how to make them smart enough to not fall for propaganda, and maintain internal stability enough for some economic projects to take off?

Holyoake nonetheless underwent six months' imprisonment and editorship of the Oracle changed hands. After the paper closed at the end of 1843, Holyoake founded a more moderate one, The Movement, which survived into 1845.[11] Holyoake also founded the Reasoner,[12] where he developed the concept of secularism,[13] followed by the Secular Review in August 1876. He was the last person indicted for publishing an unstamped newspaper, but the prosecution was dropped when the tax was withdrawn.[7]
He retained his disbelief in God, but after the Oracle soon came to see "atheism" as a negative term, preferring "secularism". He then adopted the term "agnostic", when it appeared.[14]
In the 1850s Holyoake and Charles Southwell were lecturing in East London. Harriet Law, then a Baptist, began debating with them, and in the process changed her beliefs.[15] She "saw the light of reason" in 1855 and became a supporter of Holyoake and a prominent secular speaker.
After an 1877 split with Charles Bradlaugh and Annie Besant, leaders of the National Secular Society (NSS), Holyoake, Charles Watts and Harriet Law founded the British Secular Union, which remained active until 1884.[16]
On 6 March 1881, Holyoake was a speaker at the opening of Leicester Secular Society's Secular Hall in Humberstone Gate, along with Harriet Law, Annie Besant and Charles Bradlaugh.[17] He chaired the Rationalist Press Association in 1899-1906.[18]

I disagree with Samir Hamid about his take on the Algerian war of independence and Abdlehamid Ibn Badis. He was from the Bourgeoisie. His father was a Bachagha, the highest civil functionary title an Algerian Muslim could get during the Ottoman presence.
The movement of the Ulema Ben Badis created was for the acceptance of France, he was Granted the Legion d’Honneur by France.
He promoted assimilation of Algerians and it was by force that the Association of Oulema he founded
The Oulemas condemned the Algerian revolution of 1st of Novembre 1954.
It was inly around 1956 that they joined it under threat by Abane Ramdane, the father of the revolution.

I am so disappointed in brother Sami stance on Imran Khan. To make the outrageous claim that Pakistanis support IK because he is some kind of saviour to muslims or that he cares about Muslims outside Pakistan is absolutely baseless. When IK was let down by Saudi he knew he had to maintain his relationship with China and that's why when he was asked about the muslim Uyghurs he completely dismissed the question. Imran khan is known to be secular and he appeals to the moderate young generation in Pakistan who mostly want a better life style. Before anyone starts to attack let me state that I truly love listening to brother Sami and I couldn't care less about the current establishment in Pakistan. What kills me the most is that Muslims anywhere always faced with two terrible options to choose from. Both are equally corrupt, and Pakistan unfortunately is no different!

"Imam al-Sadiq (as) was sitting with a group of his followers, and asked them: "Do you know whether the Prophet died a natural death or was murdered?
Allah the Almighty says: "if then he died or is killed".
The truth is that the Prophet was poisoned in his last days before he died. Ayesha and Hafsa administered poison in his food. Upon hearing this, the Imam Sadiq's followers said that they and their fathers were among the worst villains ever created by Allah." " .
Imam Sadiq (the Sixth Imam) comes from the Tafsir Ayyashi, a book written by al-Ayyashi in 932 CE

This is a channel i find interesting for information about middle eastern politics and social thought that you don't find elsewhere.
Unfortunately (from my view as an outsider) it's focus on islamic faith and ideology as it's centrepiece is limiting. It ends up becoming a crusade - an echo chamber of similar minds, an erudite suit wearing congregation of the faithful.
It will be good (in my humble opinion as an objectivist - rationalist) if Muhammad and team could bring on Muslims (maybe even Jews and others) who actually think quite differently from them, daring to look at what could be uncomfortable within their faith system (all faith systems for that matter) and explore unification points outside of it.
This is the only way to grow in understanding, if at all religious thinking can lead to universal empathy !!
One last thing. Muhammad always takes pains to mention that the country he comes from - India - persecutes Muslims. This is such an overdone trope, to a point that it is becoming a joke. Where is the evidence for this apart from the allegations ??
Most of the world recalls the communal violence of Gujarat in 2002 and assumes wrongly that this state of affairs is the norm in India today. Nothing is further from the truth. If anything, the BJP government (that everyone loves to hate) has done more for the Muslim community (and other minority groups) in India through policy interventions than any previous government.
But then who is looking or listening? It pays more social and political dividends to play the victim card sadly ..
If one were to go by statistics there are more Hindus being harassed in India than Muslims. It is the great tragedy of the Indian state that it cannot protect it's own majority community against the incursions of minority groups upon their collective wellbeing through violence both physical and psychological ..

I always hear a lot about Gods will but very little about Gods love, redemption, forgiveness so in the end it sounds very backward looking and passes the buck by giving ppl an opportunity to abscond from responsibility of their actions - we are the vessels which carry out the actions we plan with our free will that equals responsibility for our actions. I have friends from all 3 cousin monotheistic traditions who are very chill ppl whom I love - theyre gentle, kind, generous, not overly judgemental just great company - I believe they are this way in spite of not because of their religion even if they dont totally agree - some see their faith as a strength and in parts that may be but when taking the entirety of it as law not tempered by the updates to modern society which takes into consideration the progress made towards understanding humanity & our place in the cosmos -even our behaviors and what that means for our future society - whether submitting to tradition or accepting individuality unless a compromise is made we really cant say we have come very far from Hammurabi's code which in the end leaves everyone blind

Waou what he say about the muslim Leader in pakistan not supporting imran khan because they think he take their voice is the same thing who is happening in sénégal with Sonko. He stand against the établishment to tell the truth about their lies and corruptions and most of the religieuse people are against him because they receive money from the stat and they are afraid to tell the truth and they think they are the authorities in talking about religious matters. SONKO is actually in prison because of that.

With all due respect to Sami, he doesn’t know the history of the Algerian War of indépendance and should do some research before glorifying Ibn Badis.

Sami Hamdi, I recently started knowing y but you are such a huge light in these dark times when everyone is in a state of hopelessness. Your mentioning of Imran Khan again and again is so nice unfortunately he is suffering a lot due to the slave army of Pakistan for the stand on the cause of Muslim Ummah.
