Xianyun is here in version 4.5 of Genshin Impact. We have quite a few wishes, but unfortunately not a guaranteed 50/50... Can we get lucky for once?
This is inspired by my own Swords Only playthrough we currently have running on the channel. That account is at a point where we just need to farm domains to further build characters, so with plenty of catalyst-wielding characters on the horizon, it's time to begin this journey as well.

Probably, the reason Klee doesn’t do that much with her plunges is that you haven’t unlocked 2nd talent of Xianyun. It buffs plunges.

If you want to use Xianyun with Klee, then it might be a better idea to never use Klee's Burst, since it ruins the hydro application from Kokomi/Mona. Also Xianyun's second passive is where she really starts boosting you plunge damage.
I have Klee - if I wanted to do a Xianyun comp with her, would shim work at all if you shouldn’t use your burst?? If you know at all lol

@@DeIuIuu yes you can it should work reasonably well, but yeah like @owoflux6025 said, CW might be slightly better than Shimenawa, so just go with whichever set has the best sub-stats between the 2 on your acc, both should work perfect.

Scaramouche doesn’t quite shoot “projectiles” but he fires these wind blades that travel quite far. So he is a ranged character unlike Heizou or Sucrose. His range is similar to Xianyun.

Java one thing. Sooo xianyuns plunge ark bonus comes actually from the assertion passive. Since you're lvl 60 and u couldn't lvl her up since it's blocked.. it means you haven't unlocked her passive yet that gives out a ton of bonus plunge ark. Up to 9k atk I think. So yeah, made my Xiao do double the damage. So your Klee will sure reach 40k once you unlocked the passive and spam atk main stat on her artifacts.
22:49 her best build is Vv but you mostly want atk on it. Her burst support scales on her atk. More the atk the better for the other characters on the field!.
Either VV, the new healer set, or 2+2pc atk%. Although VV is probably the easiest to get.
If your struggling to get the jade things, there's an island to the northeast of the harbour area (whatever its called) where you can read a stone tablet and get to throw some meat off in the water which will summon a massive turtle with a bunch of jades on its back, and if ride it, it'll lead you to a lux chest
How do i ride it? I junped on it but it stayed still

Her 2nd ascension passive is where the bulk of her plunge buff is.
Actually your team is already quite decent with Xianyun, Mona, Kokomi, Klee/Yanfei plunging so probably try that again after you got Xianyun 2nd passive.
a few days ago I had xingqiu say "time to act" about 10 times in a row and I remember thinking, "what even are the chances of that??"

I got Xian Yun bc I had her guaranteed, but lemme say this, her skill changes everything in exploration. So if you enjoy exploration Xianyun might be an option for you to consider.
Now I can't explore without being able to keep spamming her "skywards, SCATTER!"
C4 mona is worth it, increase crit RAIT by 20% or 40% when the character who hits the burst, idk how to explain it more read the constaletion

gotta say, the strength of overworld bosses varies soo much... like bluey is actually somewhat dangerous but on the other hand, I farmed the pyro crab by letting furinas pets beat it up for like 20-30s (with nahida and raiden skills active)
Btw, if you're gonna run that team comp with klee plunge attack, you might not want to use kokomi because cloud retainer actually already heals with her burst. Another support or even anemo battery could work better.
kokomi's probably there for the hydro application more than the healing, since mona has terrible app. without her he'd rarely vape

Congratulations on getting the first limited Anemo catalyst this really changes your account since you only have Mona for exploration and her being support is always great, I don’t believe in lucky pull spots but I always set on venti statue and got C2 Xianyun with only one lost pity (yea to Qiqi).

guys, reminder that you can actually go to the event page (with the test trials and stuff) and click on new bosses from there. It will navigate you to where they are or the quest to start any world quests to unlock it (like with Thunder manifestation)

the extra plunge damage comes from her ascension 2 passive her q doesn't buff plunges just enables them.
Java a good set on her would be the song of days past, it works perfectly with her healing abilities e serves as a great way to buff damage while also getting good heals. The domain is also the one with the geo set which you could use for a fun ninguang video
Btw she can’t take fall damage as long as her skill is active, you can see a little anemo trail that indicates that her skill is active

I feel this. literally the same thing happened to me, i had 20 pity and no guarantee and of course my 5-star was Diluc but i somehow managed to get all the way up to pity again by doing all the quests i had and thoroughly exploring the the new region and the whole time i was thinking to myself "you know, this would be a lot funner if i had won the 50/50" but still Chenyu Vale is pretty cool, just sad that now i have Xianyun i don't actually have much to.

14:48 The cool thing is, that sometimes Yae Miko’s turrets can hit enemies underground which also procs Nahida’s skill, so you can deal very consistent damage with that team.

20:27 I thought he realized but no, ig scaramouche does, but anyways ningguang, yanfei, lisa (to some degree), yae miko (to some degree), klee, nahida (to some degree), baizhu (to some degree), and that should be it, unless kokomi does some special fish thing I forgot.
For anyone fighting the boss for Xianyun: you need:
A cryo abd a pyro
Rosaria+Yanfei and Kaeya+Yanfei were my characters.
Or a vape team with a cryo character who can freeze the boss, and a pyro DPS.
Or a melt team with a cryo dps and someone to melt the frozen boss
Both will work well
No hydro or anemo DPSes
I went over to that walk on water area and didn't even notice you were supposed to be able to anyway cause I was using furina lol

The plunges were only doing so little damage because you didnt have her level 70 ascension passive unlocked...that's when her burst buffs plunge attack damage 💀 level 40 ascension passive only grants crit rate to teammates when you hit enemies with XIanyun's skill. And burst will only buff plunge attack damage with level 70 ascension passive unlocked. Otherwise the burst only gives a heal and a burst of anemo damage.

I also noticed the thing with the voiceline frequency! It bugged me so much that I turned my volume all the way down while exploring. I tried finding it in the patch notes but didn't see it anywhere
11:20 the boss isn’t the adepti on the quest, that’s lingyuan (bluey) :) the world boss is very different in terms of color palette so they’re probably both adepti but not the same character, same as mountain shaper and cloud retainer (both cranes, diff palette, diff characters) therefore you don’t need to finish the quest to beat it

To be fair xianyun could be a vaporize-swirl dps with klee burst being the appilacator and other hydro appilcators
Honestly you had the exact same experience as me, except I lost to diluc in the 50/50(not too bad since I don’t have him) and just 100% the whole vale to get Cloud retainer
With enough challenge accounts, you can reach a point in which anything and everything you get is something that you wanted, obviously with the detail of it being on the wrong account.
I use atk % viridesent and the plungest get a massive dmg buff at the acention after the one you are on
