Most people: I can't beat the last Volo battle with a full team of Pokemon, it's so difficult!

Since struggle only seemed to not work in the Diamond / Pearl clan battles, my guess would be that because those fights can have multiple Pokémon on the field at once and struggle picks a random target during those battles, something is programed incorrectly that causes struggle to have a chance to target non-existent Pokémon.
I had my doubts. I truly did, but man. Magikarp really pulled this win, and he deserves it. RIP lil buddy

One that couldn't get tackle or flail because this games weird. Imagine a legitimate team of good pokemon, items can make these games laughably easy if you even half know how to use them.

If removing all of that from its movepool and leaving it with only splash is not a nerf, then I have no idea what that word means. All this assuming you don't look at it chronologically of course

this is incredible, i did not think youd be able to beat volo
I have 3 theories as to why struggle misses sometimes.
1. Munchlax was not caught in a ball and was so far away from magikarp that magikarp could either not load the move or the animations for it, leaving the move doing nothing to munchlax yet due to the coding of struggle, magikarp took recoil damage. Also in the battle with 3 pokemon, the struggle lagged behind, so basically its like this: ((animation)) ((deal damage)) (take damage) (end process), ((,)) are lagging behind and (,) are normal. the animation + the deal damage lagged behind so much that the process ended before they were done.
2. It is said that struggle is supposed to have 100% accuracy, however there is 2 scenarios that this saying is false:
1) Magikarp got hit by some attack that lowered this accuracy.
2) It is some mechanic that the developers added exclusive to pokemon legends of arceus.
3. It is some sort of glitch that the coding does not work for some strange reason that is unkown to many.
by the waydotn pokemons have items and abilities - some about contact damage, also i can remember 'battle armor' that negates all critical hits, i was sure this run would be easier
"we are gonna nerf it" 1:11 - well it is true, it is one of the best pokemons in nuzlocks (as 'pokemon challenges' says), one day it had to be nerfed =) to break and refresh meta

Little did he knew, he could try to catch the Kricketune at the start of the game instead of ko-ing it.
It is by no mean easy to do without the blessing of RNGsus, but possible and requiring less items to stay alive.
I’m shocked you did this super hard challenge. I can bet you were so exhausted and frustrated losing so many many times cause how awful Magikarp is in this game compared to the other Pokémon games. I applaud you my good friend

You can catch it. I did. It’s nobles and some side quest pokemon you can’t catch.

I did catch it! My very first playthrough, I threw a ball at the Alpha Kricketune, and it went into the Pokeball. You can also catch the Goodra, the Overqwil and the Zoroark at the three lakes. They’re all catchable, only thing is they don’t have a perfect 31 IV in 3 stats (or an effort level of 3 in Legends Arceus) like regular Alphas do.
