I'm tearing up too!
Surely Gabriel could have just put this on his CV or resume no? He would have never had to go back to his original job
This is not the first time Mr. Gordon has taken care of a young chef education❤
He talks openly about how he struggled as a young chef and how his dad would call him names for trying to learn how to cook. What a human being🥺😭

Oh wow I didn’t know that❤❤❤❤❤
He sent Micah, another 19 yro contestant, to train under Joe's restaurant.. it is just as big as sending someone to culinary school.. you may not like Joe's attitude as a judge but that's a really successful restauranteur right there and you're training in one of his restaurants...
You know when he said “you don’t need to worry about taking care of dad and mum, I will take care of that” definitely broke the shit out of this guy, in the most amazing way possible. ❤
It broke me in the BEST way!

Not only that. But he was promised a position as a chef in one of his restaurants once he finished school.

Actually it was Aaron who offered the position, but from what I read he couldn't move to New Orleans because of Covid. Now he posts food recipes on social media and does a few jobs here and there as a private chef.

a lot of it's played up as drama for the shows, yeah he can be hard on people that should know better, but in situations like this one and in the shows where he's working with kids it shows just how much he cares about fostering and growing talent and people's love of cooking

I watched this one when it aired and cried. Gordon is always made out to be some monster in the kitchen. He is just extremely passionate. It shows here. He genuinely cares about people and this was an amazing moment on the show.
The UK version of kitchen nightmares is so much more tame. His strictness really comes off as just that. You need to be following regulations and that’s generally where his anger is. I think I read somewhere that when he began his shows, he was a lot more aggressive but toned down as he got therapy.
He’s also usually very king and understanding with the children version of this show! Amazing guy (:
I see Gorden as a very REAL person... like, no BS. Sometimes that can come off as crass to some people, but I just love him for it! 😀
He IS a monster in the kitchen - to people who should know better, to people talking out of their arse, to people being stupid and too proud and making themselves into fools. He is incredibly kind to people who try hard, to kids, to people who need to learn and be guided, who are humble and trying to manage. Season 1 of Hell's Kitchen is a big show of difference from later seasons because they allowed anyone, not just chefs, in when later seasons its all chefs who should know better than the crap they do and turn out.
He's super nice IRL HK is for the ratings
