Don is correct about Rocky Marciano's Greatness. All fighters today should learn the most important lesson of all from Marciano. He retired undefeated and in his prime!
Marciano had a special morphology.(low reach).. he is lonely able to launch hit at this spead..( Klitchko like Ali hit at 700 kilogram/strengt)..Marciano estimate between 950 ant 1100....for info 950 (MOST PESSIMIST )is SHAVERS POWER .. Foreman and Tyson never exceed 900 kgs

underrated? you have ever seen a movie named ROcky lol , or the fact that he was undisputed undefeated, makes him the GOAT , Ali´s fan boys can stare at undefeated greatness from afar
Been a Marciano fan since I was a kid. It's crazy though because everyone even Joe Louis who was 37 at the time said no one hit him harder than Rocky. Rocky could slip punches easily and had a granite chin. He could throw punches for 15 rounds and not get tired. Rocky never backed up either. He was always coming forward. He didn't mind taking 3 punches if it meant he could get one good one in. Rocky made great fighters look ordinary. They just didn't know how to handle him. Who knows if he could have beaten todays champs. Bottom line is Rocky never ducked anyone and went undefeated.
People ducked Rocky. To this day I still think Joe Louis ducked Rocky, and the only reason they fought in the first place is Joe unretired and they took the number one contender spot from Rocky and gave it to Joe. It really hurt Marciano when that happened for two reasons. 1) He fought every single can that Louis gave a title to and wrecked them in record fashion, and 2) He had to face his icon. If you watch the Marciano movie with John Favreau you can tell Marciano knew he was the better fighter, and you can kinda infer that Rock knew Joe was fighting empty cans to keep his title, made comments about wishing he fought Joe ten years sooner.. The problem is Joe would have never given Marciano a title shot ten years sooner, Joe wanted nothing to do with Rocky period. He only fought Rocky because he needed the money, and was hoping to regain the title again.
@@dustinbarlow1623 well said man. I want to research this deeper.. I know Floyd Patterson stayed out of the heavyweight division until rocky retired. Cus damato worked out a deal with rocky so rocky would not call Paterson out or draw attention to him avoiding rocky.
It's funny how you never hear the people critisize Marciano who fought him or saw him fight in the flesh.....they all remark what an incredible fighter he was...and Walcott and Archie Moore both belittled Rockys credibility and threat before they fought him.they both changed their views after battles with him...but both remarked he was the toughest man they ever fought and the strongest they'd ever faced....Marciano was as tough as they come
Superb point, Chris. In other words, Rocky didn't look that threatening. He was relatively short, he was a nice guy, he wasn't ugly-looking like Liston or Tyson. But once these guys fought him they changed their tune. Same thing for Ali, who said Rocky punched harder than anybody he ever fought.
Marciano was small for an heavyweight no doubt,...but was incredibly strong, and had resilient bounds of stamina built up from running endless miles in training,.....Rocky always trained to the maximum and beyond,...is rigorously punishing training schedule often left him dizzy and with nousia......Rocky himself knew he had to be fitter than his opponent, because of his offensive, front foot attacking style.....he simply outfaught and put lasted every one he faced.....he just didn't stop moving forward, throwing punche....a totally awesome fighter,....and a great unbeaten champ....
rocky marciano is nightmare for any fighter from any era...even Ali doubted that he can beat marciano, please be reminded that Ali is not humble man, but a honest and confident man; he stated he not sure whether he can beat marciano...the more deep you learn about boxing, the more you will understand how great marciano is...
Ali and Joe Louis both said they’d have trouble in their primes against him, to me that ends the debate, he’s an all time top three fighter and possibly number 1.
I say this, a friend say that and so on. we boxing fans should listen to what mr. Turner and even Ali said because they KNOW it all. I say this, a friend say that ond so on. we boxing fans should shut up and learn from mr.Turner and Ali because they know it all.
Mr. Don Turner is a fine man of good character. He took in some trouble kids I had to train them. He did this without question. Mr turner's training skills are amazing!
I find it funny when Max Kellerman tells the Don Turners of the world they dont know what they are talking about. I forgot which fight but Marciano hit a dudes forearms so hard and so many times, the dudes forearms turned to Gelatin. I read a sports science thing on him and his Punching PSI would have been 2200 pounds, Mike Tysons was 2800. Rock was 5'9 185 pounds if that, Tyson was 5'11 230, if Rocky had modern day technology, who knows how hard he could hit. Tyson never came close to killing anyone, but Rocky did several times. I didnt know that Ezzard Charles was all messed up after his first fight with Rocky and never was the same. Interesting takes by Mr Turner.
Don Turner is right. I agree with him. The boxers of Yesterday (from the 40s, 50s , 60s, 70s, 80s) were better than the guys of Today because they were harder and they fought more times. Today the boxers are more spoil.

Ya Rogan is irrelevant these days F his podcast. Don Turner should have his own podcast devoted to boxing! Dons views on Mayweather probably the truth, you can't be the greatest with just defense and sporadic offence -should have at least 3 losses on his record in my opinion.

@@JdubzIE Absolutely, the ridiculous intangibles which some other fighters have had over the years also, were probably most apparent in Marciano because of his success. The old adage about aerodynamically, scientifically there's no way a Bubble Bee can fly, but he didn't get the memo. Rocky Marciano is that personified.
But we have to admit, though, Holyfield head butted Mike. I'm not saying that Tyson would have won otherwise, but Holyfield did butt Mike on more than one occasion. That was wrong. And the refferee did NOT do anything about it. That' why Mike disfigured him by biting his ear.

The age thing is a good point I never realized. Marciano was barely two years younger than Charles when they fought and four years older than Roland La Starza. Huh.
I think Mr Turners point was Rocky started older than most, .. the best fighters happened at that time happened to be older. ..you can only fight the best of your era, Holmes had a similar situation
@@mikea9359 Mr Turner was bringing up Rockys age to show what a BS argument it was to use for why Louis lost. Louis's only losses were to Schmelling and Ezzard by a draw at the time he faced Rocky. He just said Rocky wanted the fight more than Louis did. Rocky trained for 8 straight months with no interruptions. It is also known that Rocky did not want to fight Louis because he saw him as his idol. The only reason he fought Louis was because they instantly put Louis above Marciano as the number one contender after he came back from a year of retirement, and the only way he fights Ezzard Charles is if he fought Louis. Rocky till the day he died felt horrible for how bad he beat up Joe. He loved Joe like a family member. Even paid for all of Joes medical expenses when he was at the nut house and a ward of the state. There isnt another Rocky Marciano, there never will be. After earning enough to make business investments he retired, the only reason he boxed was so he wouldnt work in the shoe factory his dad worked in for 50 years. @@dustinbarlow1623 Rocky had only been fighting for 2 years when he fought Louis. Louis had 6 inches, 30 pounds, and a 8inch reach on Rocky. Most people thought Louis’s experience and physical advantages would be tom much for Rocky and they were up until Rocky landed the first clean shot. Rocky didn’t beat Louis down over the course of the fight he destroy him once he got him hurt.

Yeah I saw that too. He said when they had the computer fight that Rocky hurt his arms when he was punching him. Rocky too that fight seriously I think he lost like 60 pounds. Rocky didn’t know how to do anything less than 100%.
There was no fighter like Marciano. As the great Ali said: "you can't teach what Marciano had, he was born that way." Marciano liked fighting, he liked the give and take of being hit-yeah, being hit. If there was ever a real gladiator Marciano was it.
The reason he looked ordinary against Don Cockell is because it was the only fight Marciano did not feel passionate about because he expected Cockell to be an easy win. So Marciano, contrary to his usual standards, to not train as passionately for this fight. Even before the fight he told his trainers, "I just cannot get passionate about this fight". It turned out that Cockell was a little tougher than Marciano expected and it took him 9 rounds to put Cockell away.
Cockell was also very fired up. Everyone was disrespecting him and thought he was a joke, I think it's clear he wanted to prove them wrong. Also, Marciano was coming off his two wars with Ezzard Charles, including the one where his nose was split in half. Funny thing is, everyone laughs at Cockell but he was ranked #2 in the division. And that's the lowest he ever fought. Charles (both times), Walcott, La Starza, and Moore were all ranked #1 at the time of their bouts. Moore in particular was THE dominant force in the division and reigning Light Heavyweight Champion of the world with 21 straight wins including 2 over Nino Valdez, one over Bob Baker, 2 successful defenses against Harold Johnson, and 2 successful defenses against Joey Maxim. So yeah, Cockell was his least passionate fight. It was also the only fight against a fighter that wasn't regarded as *the* contender. The frequency with which he met the #1 ranked contender is unmatched to this day. Joe Louis met the #1 ranked contender more times (I believe 6 to Marciano's 5?) but also had many defenses against non number 1 contenders, including the notorious "Bum of the Month" tour where he fought 12 non-#1 contenders, only 1 of whom was #2 and only 3 were top 5. Seven of them were unranked.
I’ve seen that Cockell fight several times and with it being one of his worst performances, a ninth round ko with total control the whole time? Not as terrible as people make it out to be. He crushed him to the canvas eventually.
Muhammad Ali, said when he was doing some light sparring with Marciano, that Marciano hit really hard even when he wasn't trying to hit hard. His arms got sore.
Marciano was 185 lbs. He would run 6-7 miles every morning, 9-10 when he signed on for a fight, and 12-15 the final week before the fight. He would train with a 300 lb heavy bag and do 2 hours of constant calisthenics. No boxer today does anywhere close to that cardio regiment. Only Shavers comes close to Marciano's punching power, and Shavers is a second-rate fighter. There's a reason people described being punched by Marciano as being hit with cricket bats.
Rocky wasn't an outstanding hitter like Deontay Wilder, who fights much bigger, stronger, world ranked opponents. Old light heavyweight, Archie Moore, was knocked out twice as fast by Floyd Patterson as by Rocky. Fat light heavyweight, Don Cockell, who'd been knocked out 6 times, once by weak hitting light heavyweight Jimmy Slade in 4 rounds, went 9 with Rocky. Marciano didn't run 12 to 15 miles the week before a fight. That's made up fanboy ballyhoo. You wind down the week of the fight to build stores of stamina and glycogen. Doubling your roadwork the final week would be stupid. It would wear you out. Only a fanboy who knew nothing about Boxing, or sports like Track & Field, would invent such a tale. Shavers didn't hit close to the hardest. He traded shots furiously with Ron Stander for 5 rounds and got knocked cold. Even journeyman Bob Stallings, whose record was 21-24, fought a prime Shavers and easily beat him. Ron Lyle, Bernardo Mercado (who even Leon Spinks beat), Tex Cobb, Larry Holmes, Ali, etc. took Shavers' best punches and beat him.
The reason rocky hit so hard is because he has the same reach as pacquiao. While he has to get in close to punch, he has a massive leverage advantage over anyone. Hes going to hit harder than anyone. Hes has an ancient roman soldier build
Rocky did everything correct to ensure he had more stamina than his opponent.....BUT believe it or not running 12 to 15 before the final week of a fight made him less effective.... He was already in condition and the body needs to rest and repair.......Dieting the way he did before a fight was not beneficial at the weight he came into fight in theory sounds good but he was really straining himself......Rocky could still have done all that running but if he had cut out that crazy diet he would have been coming into the ring at probably 200+ AND with the exact same stamina.....he would have punched even harder, taken a punch even better, and he would have even cut and bled less......just imagine
Ali had a lot respect for Marciano as well. For all his bravado, Ali sometimes questioned whether he could beat him or not.He probably saw another Joe Frazier type fight. Marciano might have even hit harder then Frazier and would have kept coming at Ali. He was the one guy Ali didn’t trash talk about much.
love the mentality of old school guys. They was real warriors fighting for honor and to prove they the best, now it's just a money game and not many, want to fight the best because they scared to put an L on they record. It's a joke, eventho we have a lot of talent coming up over the last few years and boxing in a good place compared to the last decade and a half.
Its always been about money in boxing son. Its too rough of a sport to do it simply for the honor. Marcianos' agent for example was pushing his trainers hard for the fight against Walcott to take place as soon as possible even though they tought Rock wasnt quite there yet, in terms of experience and technique. The fight was guarranteed big paycheck and he'd say ''with old fighters, you never know when they go downhill. One day they are on the top of their game, the next they're dead meat and dont worth anything''.
Not true Louis ducked Marciano for years, then retired and unretired and was given the number one spot even after Marciano was creaming the cans he faced in record time. Marciano destroyed all the cans Louis gave title shots to, Marciano respected Louis, and didnt want to fight him, but had no choice if he was going to get a title fight. Marciano got screwed a lot by promoters back in the day, dude had to earn every fight he got.

Maricano was way underrated ! had it ALL STRONG JAW, HARD TO HIT , CRAFTY, HIT HARD , GOT STRONGER AS THE FIGHT PROGRESSED ! THE ROCK WAS ONE OF THE GREATEST ! SIZE MEANS SHIT in boxing ! Ray Robinson was great but LaMotta knocked him outta the ring !
Ray beat the crap out of Lamotta 5 out of 6. And for the record Marciano got knocked on his can a few times himself against old men who had 2X the amount of fights he had and had already been in wars that took a toll on them. Let's keep this REAL And keep the fanboyism out of the "Narrative".
Really? Size doesn't matter? Then why is it, whether it's boxing or mma, fighters are fighting people close to their weight? Why not put light weight against heavy weight on a regular basis?
A ton of respect to Tru School Sports for conducting a lengthy interview with a powerhouse of boxing knowledge, Don Turner. It's always great to hear the opinions of old school legends like Don Turner and Al Certo. They're like the last of a legendary breed.
Finally.... finally.. the Brockton blockbuster gets his credit!! As a fighter, he was my inspiration to fight!! Even Ali have him the credit he deserved; legendary!
Old school wisdom. Too many people think anything new is better. Pampered athletes lack the heart when push comes to shove and almost all athletes today are pampered. Good stuff.

When a legend like Don Turner talks you listen, Love the little shot he took at Max Kellermen, didnt list him by name, but said dont listen to the dudes of today, because they dont know anything about the fighters of the past. I didnt know that Rocky trained 8 straight months with zero rest preparing for the Louis fight, impressive insight. I knew he was considered one of the first boxing tacticians, didnt know he took it that far.
Im a trained female fighter and I will tell you that my studies of Rocky Marciano and Muhammad Ali made my style great. I go for the body alot and I also move. Marciano had the right way of hitting when he did connect. He pushed through his punches hard. He followed through. I will tell you now Marciano is the toughest boxer who has ever lived and the hardest puncher to be in the boxing ring. Hands down. From my expertise I know for a fact Marciano is the man.
I believe Marciano's atomic punches was due to his superb ability with shoulders mainly. when you punch like him the whole strenght hits the target. Joe Frazier was also a master in this game
Of all people alive in the sport of boxing, I trust the words of Don Turner the most. He schooled Evander Holyfield to meet and beat Iron Mike Tyson twice, in 12 to 1 odds against Holyfield. And trained the Klitschko brothers. Respecting his words, if Mr Turner says it, I believe it.
I think Tyson Fury would give Rocky Serious issues, Wilder swings too wildly and leaves himself open for a gazelle punch from Rock. Fury and Rocky Marciano would be a fun one.
Ali said an old Marciano was hurting his mid section while making that film. And those were 1 minute rounds. Imagine 3 minute rounds. He would not escape the later rounds and would be taking clean shots to the head. I still say Marciano.
What Marciano did in the superfight is exactly what Frazier did in 71 to get the belt. People forget Rocky was probably one of the greatest tacticians to ever box.
@@christophervincent8420 Yeah Rocky would run 12 miles a day, run and pick up and throw Atlas Balls, and would knock the sand out of 300 pound bags. To illustrate the greatness of Marciano, Marciano would had beat even sugar ray robinson if they had fought in my opinion. I'm saying: If the two were to fight at the same weight class and in their primes, Marciano is for reeelllll !
@@Decimator-jh4gu Marsiano was intelligent, not as a fighter only but more importantly also as an individual. He had pinpoint accuracy with his shots, too. He, Marsiano, had an IQ. With this combination of skills with intelligence, would be more than a match for Cassius Clay (Ali). Jersey Joe Walcott was considered one of the best in his prime. Even though Joe was past his prime when they fought, Jersey Joe had a point to prove- he had a mission in that fight. Jersey Joe came in the the VERY best, possible condition in that fight before Marsiano. Joe had wanted to downgrade Marsiano's status as the greatest champion of all time. To repeat my statement, Joe came on a mission that night. Despite the fact, Marsiano had proved to be still the superior opponent with dramatic, stunning display of acumen.
Thered a reason why Ali ( god bless his soul) said the hardest man hes have issues with was marciano. He didnt say foreman or frazier. Marciano was really a freak of nature.
I love hearing these stories of the older generation who know the sport. Who respect and know the history of fighters who weren't as popular but great.
He is still the only undefeated Heavy Weight to ever fight. You can call him overrated, underrated, either way he is still the only guy to accomplish that feat.
@Don Strong LOL Foreman was fighting Ali who was 7 years older than him, Norton who was six years older, and Frazier who was five years older, and when he took over the ranks, no one was bitching about age discrepancies, hell Foremans best boxing was done in his 40s. Klitchkos best boxing was in his mid to late 30s, same for Mayweather. You guys pull out the age crap only when it suits you. Ezzard Charles, Walcott and Louis were all circle jerking one another with the belt, it had a revolving door when Louis didnt have it. I am sick and tired of the notion Louis was old and out of it. Dude barely lost his fight to Charles by decision. And his only other loss was to freaking Schmelling which was a fluke because he didnt take the fight serious. The only person to ever really beat Louis was Marciano, and you dudes have a tough time with it cuz the man was white. Rocky was nine years older than Liston, Liston wasnt even a damn serious contender at the time Rocky hung it up. I am sick and tired of the stupid talking points. Its funny you complain about age when there was a bigger discrepancy in Marciano to Liston than Marciano to Louis.
@Don Strong Would you say Foreman was fighting washed up fighters? ALi was seven years older, Norton was six years older, and Frazier was five years older. Dude just face it, your made a white dude whooped up on Louis. No one thought Louis coming out of retirement was washed up! Dude had two losses and one being a UD to Charles. When Foreman took the belt from Norton he only had 2 losses at the time, was he washed up like Louis? LOL Klitchko fought his best in his late 30s and Foremans best boxing was in his early 40s. Stop with the BS old boxer BS! Before marciano even was a name, Charles, Walcott and Louis were passing the belt around to one another like Candy till Marciano retired them all.
Many folks overlook the Ezzard Charles part of this equation. Ezzarch Charles was an ALL TIME GREAT boxer! Period. End of sentence. Rocky and Ezzard's battles in the ring were legendary.
Marciano would have beaten Louis even if he was in his prime and even Louis admitted that. He said when he fought Schmelling and Marciano, he said Max him with over 100 punches and those 100 punches were easy compared to getting hit by 2 of Marciano's punches.
Holyfield took vitamins to get up to heavyweight. 3:21 Theres a guy at my gym, he sells vitamins. Six week course of them. Im buying some next week. Told me I need to take three a day and that they would cost me about £100 for the course. He called them vitamin 'S' I think he said.
He changed his tune about Marciano on a later video though and said Rocky wasn't good, guess he got pressured into saying it by Rocky haters, I don't understand all the hate towards Rocky, but I think I have a pretty good idea where it comes from if you know what I mean.
Preach Don. I've been saying that about Mayweather forever. O-V-E-R-R-A-T-E-D!!!! I still don't believe he won the Pacquiao fight. Floyd ran all night. Worse $100.00 that I ever spent in my life.
Here's the thing that most people today don't realize. Guys back in the day fought alot. Normal regular people back in the day fought alot. You go farther and farther back in history the more savage people had to be because of their environment. I remember Carmen Basilio said that when he was a kid he fought for money before he was ten years old in clubs and stuff..... different type of people. Different breed. Average guys back in the day could probably take some of these "champions" today. No joke. Don turner is absolutely right about what he's talking about.
People should learn before they speak, because the truth is Ali and Tyson fought more older men than the rock only Louis JJW and Moore were what you would call old and remember Ali fought Moore 7yrs after the rock, the rock was to strong to tuff watch his fight with Charles and his onslaught on Moore never seen before or since.
He retired undefeated because he fought bums and old men. In the 60's and 70's Rocky would have had atleast 8 losses to Liston, Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Shavers, Lyle, Holmes and maybe even norton
My video foreman Louis/deontay shows exactly how Joe and his era fought. In that video, does that version of Joe look like he or anybody else would land anything on people foreman fought? , he and guys from his time look like novices compared side by side to no names Foreman/deontay fought, and in no way does anyone from that era look like they would last 1 round vs. guys in the 70s-90s Rock wouldn't win any match in those era's
@@leondavis27 You think any of those big lumbering roided up pigs could keep Marciano off them for 15 rounds? And they are going to have to because Rocky doesn't break a sweat until about the 13th round and he ain't going nowhere until they're on the floor.

I'm 64 years old and in my youth I fought AAU, Golden's gloves and other state tournaments. I don't take anything away from fighters of any era. People tend to elevate their era over others. That's nonsense.. Ali vs. Louis? Ray Leonard vs. Ray Robinson? Marciano vs. Holyfeild? Mayweather vs Salvador Sanchez? Pacquiao vs. Duran? There's good fighters from all era's of boxing. When WW2 began Americans weren't psychologically or physically , militarily prepared for the war , but we were eventually victorious. The ability of mankind to adapt to different times never ceases to amaze me.
Looked into Marciano recently, his boxing skills were average, (to me) but the man could hit and he was extremely conditioned. If fighters today were a quarter as conditioned as Marciano, we would have much more fights. Would have loved to watch him fight. What a rare champion.

Hollywood always lie about characters. Marciano as good as Mayweathe to avoid punches.
great interview, makes me happy to see my hometown champion get the well deserved credit he deserves.

When Marciano hit you, the soul left the body.
U shouldnt do 12 to 15 mile runs the week before a fight...that took away and didnt add to his stamina or endurance

@Don Strong Marciano would beat them all.
@Crustyprawn 157 Rocky turned his short reach into an advantage, generated alot of power.
Turner spits truth!
Top video mate!
Thanks man
Many folks overlook the Ezzard Charles part of this equation.
I'm not doubting what you say but do you have articles or any references?
6:40 marciano or klitschko
Nice interview. Interesting! :)
MR Don Turner, one of the all time greats in boxing. Telling it how it is! Priceless 😎
1 of the last real trainers left. Now it’s all instagram trainers and pad holders
Wise Man!!!!
Now this is a man to respect -not allowing race to get involved-love this guy
Is this a re-upload bro?
yes but its the full interview, I broke it up into 3 segements when I first released it the 1st time.
Nickel and diming the people 😣
Rocky doesn't get the credit he deserves
Holyfield took vitamins to get up to heavyweight. 3:21
Theres a guy at my gym, he sells vitamins. Six week course of them. Im buying some next week. Told me I need to take three a day and that they would cost me about £100 for the course. He called them vitamin 'S' I think he said.
rad 😂😂
Did the vitamins come from Tijuana? Or, vitamin water bottled from Afghanistan?
Vitamin S is good but I prefer Q.
He changed his tune about Marciano on a later video though and said Rocky wasn't good, guess he got pressured into saying it by Rocky haters, I don't understand all the hate towards Rocky, but I think I have a pretty good idea where it comes from if you know what I mean.
That was insightful
Preach Don. I've been saying that about Mayweather forever. O-V-E-R-R-A-T-E-D!!!! I still don't believe he won the Pacquiao fight. Floyd ran all night. Worse $100.00 that I ever spent in my life.
"Both of the klitchskos could get in the ring with Marciano at the same time and he'd knock em out"
I never get tired listening to Don Turner and "BT."...."Pops"
Here's the thing that most people today don't realize. Guys back in the day fought alot. Normal regular people back in the day fought alot. You go farther and farther back in history the more savage people had to be because of their environment. I remember Carmen Basilio said that when he was a kid he fought for money before he was ten years old in clubs and stuff..... different type of people. Different breed. Average guys back in the day could probably take some of these "champions" today. No joke. Don turner is absolutely right about what he's talking about.
Love how Don drops knowledge on this inept interviewer
People should learn before they speak, because the truth is Ali and Tyson fought more older men than the rock only Louis JJW and Moore were what you would call old and remember Ali fought Moore 7yrs after the rock, the rock was to strong to tuff watch his fight with Charles and his onslaught on Moore never seen before or since.
Yea. You know BETTER than this man with his vast experience and 55 years in the game. LOL
I hear these conversations every time he cuts my hair!
He works in the Coming to America Barber Shop
Listen to this man!
In that video, does that version of Joe look like he or anybody else would land anything on people foreman fought? , he and guys from his time look like novices compared side by side to no names Foreman/deontay fought, and in no way does anyone from that era look like they would last 1 round vs. guys in the 70s-90s
Rock wouldn't win any match in those era's
Rocky ko'd men that were 6'4,254 pounds. He was only 5'10,183.Impressive.
False , the biggest fighter he fought was 6:1 and 205
The Klitschko brothers would keep him back with the jab and score punches the whole fight
@@leondavis27 You think any of those big lumbering roided up pigs could keep Marciano off them for 15 rounds? And they are going to have to because Rocky doesn't break a sweat until about the 13th round and he ain't going nowhere until they're on the floor.
@@leondavis27 Jerry Jackson was 6'3 and weighed in at 254lbs for his fight against Marciano! Rocky KO'd him in the first round!!!
@@dalewr38 Rocky was the best conditioned fighter of all time! Now these fat stiffs...huffing and puffing with the roll around the middle and "Man Boobs" hanging down after 3 rounds of "action" are gonna beat a real fighter like the Rock?
@@beatlejim64 You do know that Fury is bigger than that?
This trainer is great and been there.
Listen to what D Turner says at 8:07 & 8:43, both statements saying the same thing. Here's Don Turner with years and years of experience saying Marciano war the hardest puncher he's ever seen. Game over.
SRR is TBE
Looked into Marciano recently, his boxing skills were average, (to me) but the man could hit and he was extremely conditioned. If fighters today were a quarter as conditioned as Marciano, we would have much more fights.
Would have loved to watch him fight. What a rare champion.
You know what, the heroes are all good and have their place but what about this guy, he looks and feels like a legend in his own right... let us know his story...please.
