Im estranged from an abusive mother, and I get what she says that “she is still my mom”. Children always try to see the best in their parents, and she probably feels ambiguous about her mother.
those of us who know from experience understand her post. if people can't relate they should seriously just be quiet instead of adding hate to someone's trauma

I think the problem is people thought Gypsy would be likable. They expected her to be that sweet character she played when she was under her Mother's control. I think she is still finding herself which is why she should stay out of the public. Her PR team (if she has one) is all about money because this isn't good for her.

I don't think it's that bizarre. I was abused, neglected, and abandoned by my mother. I grew up in foster care. As an adult, I took care of my mother to her last breaths (cancer). It was still my mother, she had issues, and everyone makes mistakes. I can relate to Gypsy on this, except she had it much worse in ways, her mother didn't abandon her but she had the opposite, her mother wouldn't let her out of her sight, controlled every aspect of her life in crazy ways. Gypsy was a victim, what happened happened. Yet, I'm sure she regrets her mom's death and that plays a role in all this. If Gypsy was to only focus on the bad in the past... it would eat away at her. She'd be miserable.

I don't understand to this point why people are still defending her. She has literally given every reason that has exposed her for the liar that she is.
1.) during her interrogation video, she never mentions once how she was abused, she just denies the crime and then when the detective tells her to cut it, she then threw Nick under the bus with no worry for him
2.) she uses Ryan to get out of prison early and as soon as they're out, she makes up the most stupid excuses on why she's leaving him and insults him publicly
3.) she complains about Ken and how he has no respect for her or her marriage, but the minute the boat is rocked in the marriage, she's on Ken's leg like a dog in heat
4.) she complains she wants a normal life and how we need to give her grace and blah blah blah, but has TMZ and other networks on speed dial to report that she ate a bagel
5.) she left her dog, that she begged Ryan to get her, behind, then blasts Ryan on HIS VIDEO in his comments saying how dare he consider giving the puppy up for adoption
6.) she says she's going to advocate for others and do better in life, but all she's done is stuff for her only. please don't tell me it's because she's free, her and her mother got so much free stuff, they did a lot in life that no one could ever dream of doing
7.) she is just being so cringe on the internet and then when she's called out on her BS she says "don't bother hating on me, do it on your platform", it's all just hate, hate, hate. No, it's the truth and she can't handle any responsibility for what she's done.
She does nothing but use, abuse and lose people who have no purpose for her. She's like a succubus. She just drains people of life.

I don't see her forcing someone to undergo multiple surgeries, removing their teeth, forcing them to only eat through a tube in their stomach, telling them they can't walk and isolating them for the majority of their life...what she is doing for attention IS NOT worse than what her mother did for attention.

I don’t think it’s odd at all. Her mother abused her in cruel and crippling ways for the most part of her life. She had her killed because she didn’t know how to stop the abuse. And I am glad to hear she is trying to move on and has forgiven that person for the painful abuse she experienced.

Her mother was NEVER diagnosed with MBP. Her lawyer/step mother came up with that after deedee was already dead.
well if you SEEN in first hand you should know that Deedee was NEVER diagnosed. You cant have it if you are not diagnosed. It was malingering since they were broke. They both were in on it.

I am glad she is choosing to have a positive outlook. I think that's really powerful. Be that as it may, I feel she will do much better and will thrive only if she remains off of social media. I have mixed feelings over her circumstances, but she is doing herself a disservice by sharing how she feels with the world.

Why are we still talking about her? I just feel like the way we’ve platformed her and so many people have turned her into a b-list celebrity is insane.
I have a horrible relationship with my mother. She wasnt physically absuvie, until the end(when i moved out and didnt deal with it anymore) but shes very mentally and emotionally abusive. Even now, as an adult, she still is. And even though my mother made me lost my childhood, and put the blame on me since day one, i still feel for her. She doesn't deserve it at all, she left me homeless multiple times, and didnt care what happens to me. But yet, i still try to fix our relationship, but at this point shes in denial, and I wont spend my life fighting for a relationship that was never there. My mother ruined the relationship i had with my father, my step father, my grandma, my aunt(who died before i could talk to her). I forgive her, but I will never forget the absuve, the bridges shes burned. I will never forget it and im still healing now at 25.
My situation sounds eerily similar to yours. I hope you find healing. Even at 40 I still struggle with it. In the end you have to choose yourself, especially when they don't change or even admit they did anything wrong and constantly gaslight you.

I didn't think this video was weird. Their relationship was complicated. She is allowed to miss her mom. That was her mom whether or not she wanted her to die at one point or not. Sharing her truth is healing for her and possibly anyone who is in a possibly similar complicated situation. I am not saying what happend was ok, but it is her past and time will force these difficult emotions. I feel for Gypsy. My mom drank herself to death. It was complicated. I think of my mom as just a person too. I doubt it was just anger and just bad.

I’ve seen kids want to return to an abusive/negligent parent before- sadly it’s not that uncommon.
I think her working with a therapist has helped. By the way shes acknowledged the good and bad and that she was sick. There’s not much she can do but speak out now that she’s in the media. Although what she and her then boyfriend had done will obviously stick with her. I still think the mom is a monster for the amount of torture beyond literal murder she caused her daughter.
Gypsy has been bullying other people who had been through Munchhausen by proxy also cause she thinks she is the only one who can go through it and one person said gypsy keeps changing her story copying other stories.
This!!! Why is no one talking about she is bullying other MBP survivors off the internet! Where is the empathy for those individuals… SMH
I really really like Gypsy & I think she’s doing such a good job navigating all this chaos & trauma. I got a little teary too cus I’m so proud of how much work she is clearing putting into herself & her healing process. Also despite everything she’s been through she’s still kind & loving which is incredible.

Apparently, I missed that class that discussed what justifies murder. The fact that she was able to leave her house without her mother, and even go overnight to her boyfriends, makes me believe that she had another option besides what she did.
Maybe.. maybe not. We'd never know what we would've done in her situation if that were us

There is nothing this woman has done so far that I think bad of her. She has made some really bad decisions since her release but that's to be expected with what she was put through in her life. Gypsy was manipulated her whole life into thinking her mother was truly trying to take care of her until she realized what was really going on. I can understand why she feels this way like she explains in video.
I had never heard her speak before-not at all impressed with her character. She comes across as vulgar, snotty, remorseless, attention-seeking…just nasty. No I don’t like her at all.
