Thunder is the sound lightning makes. So yes, they always go together. I wouldn't recommend being in the pool during a thunderstorm, but I guess technically lighting tries to find the highest and easiest path to the ground, and a swimming pool isn't really it. But wet and electricity, usually means dead.

If it’s just raining you are fine. But with thunder comes lightning. Thunder is the sound lightning makes! I would recommend getting out if you hear thunder or see lightning just to be safe.
If it helps where I live it calls for showers so much but it doesn’t always happen. The weather you are looking at is for a big area - so it isn’t necessarily going to be exactly where you are and all day long. Hopefully it will end up being different than you anticipate in a good way.

Total agree with you that it is the parents decision to name the child and no one else's (unless they decide on something so outrageous that the child would me made fun of for it)
My in-laws felt bad taking toilet rolls during covid despite the fact I had loads because I have always bulk bought non-perishable items. They've since bought so many items for our house. I really don't understand the entitlement of people taking from family.

Here’s a question : I’m Danish and would love to spend a couple of weeks or so in Southern California. No touristy stuff, just sit on the beach, maybe browse the local city, that’s it. Where should I stay? Don’t care about food and entertainment
Thunder is the sound lightning makes so yes they always come together. Usually the rule I have been told is if the lightning/thunder is with in 5-10 miles of where you are then don’t be in the pool. Or if you are told by the hotel staff not to be in. Hope this helps

Silly Goose seems to go back centuries to when everyone had a farmyard with geese. I have never found geese silly. They are the most violent and threatening birds we see in common rural use.

No, if the pool is outdoors and there is lightning, you need to get out of the water.
How did the "silly goose" phrase originate? It is an Old English word that applied to animals such as geese and sheep. It indicated their careless, innocent and hapless nature.
Hi Rachel. I love your videos and podcasts. Random question for you, would you ever want to live anywhere else besides California? Just curious. Again, love your vlogs and podcasts. You should not be in the pool during a thunder storm. It is very dangerous. I love your shirt under the sweatshirt. I love the colors.
You probs won’t see this but I’m a lifeguard in the mid west and you are definitely not aloud to swim while it’s lighting and thunering. Thunder is just the sound from the lightning bc light travels faster than sound. If lightning strikes water while you’re in it. You’ll more than likely die. Hope this helps🤍
