He’s absolutely right about the names. My father is Nigerian. He came to America when he was 25 years old, he had me at the age of 28 with my African-American mother. My mother gave us American names, but my father make sure we all knew our African names. So I have a first name, a middle name and a last name but I also have an African name.

The camera reveals posh eclectic splendid homes with pristine manicured lawns serananded with pine trees. The impetus of the broadcast from East Legon. We see the Honeysukcle's edifice for the rich. In the South so many other languages. Everyone was equally responsible for the development and upkeep of society, from the king to his officials to the people. If a street was dirty or filled with trash, the residents would get together and fix it straight away. Today, they would ignore the trash and blame ''the government'' for not fixing the street.

I live in Europe , and thanks to the media , people think Africa has nothing better to offer than bad infrastructure , poverty, political instability and wildlife to the point where whenever I travel to Africa my white friends ask me " What are you going to do out there, there's nothing to see". Is that the image of Africa you want people to have around the world ? You think people don't know already that most Africans are struggling ? How about showing the nice parts and the rich areas of Africa to show people around the world a more nuanced picture of Africa , to show them that there's a growing middle class and that Africa isn't a hopeless continent. How do you expect expatriates and investors to invest in Africa if all they see is negativity. Think brother....

Is it the self sufficient African with his own land, a home and cattle or is it the individual in Europe/US working a corporate job who could get fired or laid off tomorrow? Some of us have given up that European/American infrastructure to enjoy this rich African wildlife you take for granted. You projected your feelings about Africa in the first half of your statement and you assume others share those same feelings.

The self sufficient African you are describing mainly lives in rural areas but they are very limited in terms of the lifestyle they can maintain. On the other hand, 500 million Africans live with less than 2 dollars a day, most African countries don't have free education , no free healthcare or welfare system whatsoever, rampant unemployment levels and corruption which leads to the unequal distribution of wealth.. So be honest, who is really poor and struggling. Of course , Its not all sweet in Europe/America, but do you really think countless of migrants would risk their lives to get to Europe if they were better off in Africa ?

Be careful, African Americans are being killed over there... Sure to link up with the right people and don't go where you are not supposed to. I popular CZcamsr from the states and a couple of them have been killed. Do your research... I'm not saying Gambia is a bad place. I'm only cautioning..
