    Hi 👋
    Would you say the anatomy and physiology in the Med-term for coding book is enough to prepare for learning coding or would you advise a separate book or course before diving into coding itself? I bought the book and the preface seems to imply that it would/could suffice. I also bought anatomy flash cards to supplement my learning.

    Hi Victoria, I need help. I signed up at AAPC for medical billing and coding course. I did not realize it was a 4 month course. You can add 2 months, then you have to pay for more months. I am also trying to learn terminology, anatomy, and patho. I am doing flash cards, but I only have 2 more months, then I will need to add the two months. I will also need to get a job by then because I need the money coming in. I am spending 5 hours a day Mon thru Fri. I am only on terminology. I am scared I will not be ready to take exam in 6 months. I have 14 chapters to go just in the coding course. What is your suggestion?

    • @ContempoCoding
      @ContempoCoding  Před rokem +2

      I understand your concerns about the 4-month course and feeling overwhelmed. Here are a few suggestions: prioritize key topics, create a study schedule, utilize available resources, practice and review consistently, and stay positive. If you're uncertain about readiness for the exam, consider discussing options or extensions with AAPC or your course instructor.

    I think you did an identical video 2 years ago. Anyway, I've seen other youtubers who say that coders need as much medical terminology and anatomy as doctors, and I just can't see that being true. You don't need to know everything. As you said, having a baseline knowledge is all that's needed. Besides, we all (should) have reference materials within reach as we code, and we're not making 200 to 300k a year like doctors.
