I became an Elvis fan in 1976. My first song that I heard from Elvis was Moody Blue. When Elvis died in 1977. It almost broke my heart even though I was only 7 years old at the time. Since that day I've been an Elvis fan with heart and soul. I will never hear anything but the King. Only his music has filled my soul because his music is music from the deepest part of his own soul and he lets us participate. Elvis is the greatest phenomenon in American music history. But here in Germany, too, for me he is the greatest singer and entertainer of all time, because Elvis is the only musician in the world who touches people's hearts and brought generations of different age groups and races together in music. And that's why his gospel music in particular is something very special and wonderful. Here Jesus speaks from music and Elvis was deeply religious.
Thank you very much Elvis. Elvis Forever.

Elvis was nominated 14 times for the Grammys but only received three. In 1967 'HOW GREAT THOU ART ' won Best Sacred Performance. In 1972 'He Touched Me ' won Best Inspirational Performance and in that same category won again in 1974 with ' HOW GREAT THOU ART ' which was recorded live in Memphis

The baritone singer was J D Sumner and he held the Guinness World Record for 18 as the world's lowest bass singer and was inducted into the Gospel Hall Of Fame in 1983. As the anniversary of Elvis death is on 16th August I'm hoping you would do a reaction then. A song that no one else has reacted to and is not as well-known is a song called LIFE I hope you will do it

Elvis was the only singer to sell over a billion records....and they are still be sold. He is called the king for a reason......his voice changed culture...it opened the doors for musicians that might not have had that chance to walk through with out him. He was raised poor in a black community...he loved the music and put his own spin to every song he sang. Long live the King.

I don’t want to sound morbid but I’ve made my list of songs I want at my funeral and How Great Though Art is my first one the 1972 version that’s the one you’ve just played but all the songs I’ve chose is all Elvis gospel I’m 68yrs old so I’ve give my son my list already I come from a big family 6 sisters and one brother and there always having me on because all I talk about is Elvis I told them all I’m having all Elvis gospel songs at my funeral my brother said Denise is this your funeral or an Elvis concert I said both.Elvis also sang this in 1966 and I have the Album I’ve still got all my vinyl records but I would love ❤️ you to react to Angelina Jordan she’s 15yrs old now but she won Norway’s got talent when she was 8yrs old she’s amazing she sings How Great Though Art just like Elvis’s 1966 version she sings it in the same key and she sings it really deep it’s just out of this world 🌎 I really would appreciate it so much Great Reaction Love ❤️ from Denise in Yorkshire England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿👑👑👑🤴🤴🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻🎸🎸🎸👏👏👏👍👋

I live in West Tennessee (north of Memphis) and will never forget when he died. It was the day before my 16th birthday. I watched the funeral procession on TV...and it is just wonderful to see that he gains fans all the time. He will have been gone 45 years this August and he really has never left us.

He had so many songs. If I Can Dream is another one that's not exactly gospel but really that's exactly what it is. It's a tribute to Martin Luther King home he actually knew and was highly distressed when he got assassinated.

Thanks for doing that I’m listening to it on the Anniversary of his death on August 16th and it really got to me. He got 3 Grammys I believe, all for Gospel music. People were very jealous of him during his younger years. He’s in 4 Halls of fame. Gospel,Rock & Roll, rhythm and blues and Country. That’s pretty remarkable in itself. He also had a Hollywood star by his 30’s and what was considered a lifetime achievement award( called something else back then) by his 30’s also. It’s amazing & yes I love when Carrie Underwood sang that too. I’ve seen her in concert twice and she’s really good. She sang a Christmas duet with Elvis ( edited obviously) that I love. She’s also an Elvis fan. God bless & stay healthy. 🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻🎸👍🏻❤️

It's very informal but still amazing. I so wish he would have recorded it. I would love to see you react to it as well as the studio version of "Are You Lonesome Tonight". I love your channel n thank you for keeping Elvis music alive. I'm not sure if I told you that I became friends with Charlie Hodge his confidant and best friend for 8years after Elvis died n he said alot of great things about Elvis. He lived at Graceland with Elvis n got to know the human side of him not the image. Elvis treated Charlie like a brother. I miss my friend Charlie but he is singing Harmony with EP in Heaven. I have many favorite songs of Elvis but it would take me hours to name them all. Forgot to see if you had an Elvis list of songs you have reacted to. I will name just a few that I don't think you reacted to" Walk A Mile In My Shoes 1970, Make The World Go Away Vagus 1970, You Gave Me A Mountain Aloha concert 1973, The Wonder Of You Vagus 1970( Priscilla said this song he sang just for his loving fans) , Just Pretend Vagus 1970, Where no one Stands Alone duets with his daughter Lisa Marie who was 9years old when her daddy died n now in her 50's wanted to have the opportunity to sing with him. I better stop now lol. Will watch for more reactions from you.

This is a great performance n very powerful ... but the original 66 version is far more superior ... his vocal control n phrasing was outstanding ... when he was in the recording studio he was moved that much he was down on one knee.... he didn't get a lot what he deserved ..n that was down to his so called manager/ promoter ... he was more of a promoter n cared all about the money than elvis' craft😊
