I met a actual mobster muscle once nickname bird he was a psychopath
He worked for the winter hill gang Kevin weeks and bulger
He used to hang around downtown crossing and I happen to be sitting eating mac Donald’s
He comes and sits next to me
      And started telling me
He did just got out from doing time
He used to beat people to death with a baseball bat
During the time he worked for bulger
      He said one time
He was told by bulger to kill this guy and they all knew him
So bird asks this guy who is supposed to get whacked to come with him
      To collect money
So they both get on the car
The guy is oblivious and is just talking to bird and bird tell him
Be quiet let’s have a quiet ride
And bird parks the car near a empty parking lot at night and says I gotta get something than he calls the guy over and says hey help me here and the guy goes and bird says I hurt my back
I dropped something underneath the car
The guy gets on the floor and bird just starts whacking his head and blood is splatting everywhere
And he kept hitting his head over and over till there was Brain matter
I remember he telling me that and I was like wow I didn’t know what to say I was shocked 😳
      Bird says it’s alright kid
And walks away and says whatever you do in life
Stay away from people like me

If we don't take time to learn and emphasize with people then we can't really prevent this shit. Who knows what Sammy could have done with his life. Definitely something better that 19 people killed. But again how many detailed accounts of mobster activities do we have like this. This type of honesty is gold. Also you're so quick to call people psychopaths and I agree a lot of them are. But at least Sammy has a lot of regret and you can see in each interview how torn up he gets about this shit. I'm not saying he's a Saint. Far fucking from it. Other times they legitimately have some type of remorse particularly with associates that were involved in a murder. However the fact is is he wasn't scared of prison, he was a product of the mafia, believed in it to his core he turned informant because he was so emotional his feelings were hurt over Gotti tapes, and him askng him to take the fall. Therefore he is the type of man who betrays everything he is, believes and values in life cause he's a little pissed off at a betrayal, well he didn't just take down gotti but the damn Gambino family at large.. Then he goes on shows and talks about how much of a real gangster he is. That's my thoughts.
