#warhammer #warhammer40k #40k #gamesworkshop - Zábava
I appreciate the passion of people in the comments but also don’t soil yourself in rage.
Astartes was created by Seyama Pedersen as a fan made animation. This is Games Workshops best work since Astartes set the bar so high. I should have been clearer. Some of y’all can calm down.
Lol nerd rage knows no bounds.
They are followers of khorne! Explains the rage
The fan made projects were great and they did have good show actions but they either borrowed excellent dialogue from audiobooks or they had barely any audio at all. I'm not counting the parodies which so funny were not up to the standards that we've seen GW
Thank you for correcting yourself about Astarte's being GW's... I will personally NEVER recognize it as their work because of how they stole the freedom for fans to create basically free advertisement for the franchise... Though I do appreciate how they gave Seyama a job as an animator for them... But I do regret that it had to come at the threat of getting sued if he did not bend to their will... Because I saw it as either him having to delete the literal year(s) of hard solo work at making every little detail in the Astarte's episodes... including the music and sounds... that he did for absolutely free... or the threat of having a lawsuit hung over his head while still attending college (at that time iirc)... That being said... I do love how a lot of the better animations of GW's have his artistic touch here and there... It's been a drastic change in quality since he had joined.
Yeah no thanks, GW is scum for what they did, educate yourself in the contracts they forced these people to sign and what would have happened had they not, might change your tone.
The salamander casually telling the human children he has 3 lungs and two hearts is funny af
And since he has only one heart and two lungs left he appears more human
@@jumi9342 There's something beautifully poetic about this that naturally ties in with his empathy and care for normal humans
Well he is a superhero if you think about it.. plus not everyone makes it through the process so he is rare. Very rare.
Also that he tried to explain a bit technically before resorting to that it hurt a bit.
The opening with the guardsmen hurts so much. Imagine being a Kriegsman, loyal and dedicated to the Emperor, striving for redemption with every breath. And due to some Necron warp-shenanigans, you no longer control your own body. And one of the angels of your God Emperor himself calls you a traitor.
That sucks.
It was painful that they were trying to stop themselves, and that they were called heretic by the Salamander.
ya I felt incredible pity to the guardsmen. I realize the Salamander didn't know but I feel like he was a bit harsh on them. Like he must've realized how weird they were acting.
Cron's do not, and will never, fuck around
Because space marines do not succumb to those shenanigans, they view those who became zombies as weak-willed and lacking in faith; thus, the salamander looked down on them.
12 minutes in and I'm so happy to see GW has stepped things up, especially showing the human aspect of everything, and the kindness of the Salamanders towards civilians.
Took them long enough right. But after 3 years there still is not much animation content, considering they sold us the idea of WH+being animations on the regularr there is about a days worth.
Well they better step their stuff up, Astartes is their standard now. By the way, I noticed that the animation have the exact same feel and vibe as Astartes does, noticeably in their walking animation and/or running, it has that “janky” look to it that Astartes had. So I’m guessing that the Astartes creator probably lead this project? Or somth?
@@SordidusFellatioSyama Pederson (singular creator of Astartes) probably have some pointers in these animations since GW has him now and silent as all hell still
Guessing they are having Syama work in a consulting role across multiple projects. That's the best way to bring the quality up.
@@domokun845 Yep its probably the best way, but I hope he still does his own work for Astartes and at least have a say still.
What I like about the destroyers section is that when the palatine sister says “you are a cancer upon the Galaxy, I despise you!” She’s basically speaking for both of them. The necrons see organic life but especially humans as vermin infesting their tombworlds that need to be exterminated
If only the destroyer responded back pointing out the irony of it
Thats the whole point he just came close face to face as she spoke
Not all necrons. Destroyers specifically.
The Necron destroyers are not wrong
Sororitas to Necron: "You´re a cancer..."
Necron: "You didn´t just say that?!"
She gave the Necron a PTSD flashback to a being a fleshy cancer patient like the rest of his race. XD
@@ICECAPPEDSKY she won tbh 😂 roasted tf outta that necron
@@LewisB3217 If that's what winning looks like , I'd hate to see what you call losing.
@@Technovore88 Go back to the opening sequence of the first episode. Mind you those bodies can be reanimated for more experiments again and again and again.
Necron: 01001110 01101111 00100000 01010101
I actually really like the salamanders first interaction with the survivors. They are genuinely warm and kind but also still feel just distanced enough from humanity to still sell him as a space marine.
Indeed, it could also be said that the fact his additional organs (3rd lung and 2nd heart) were disabled also makes him more human
Legion of the Damn is way better.
@coolgamers2794 ah yes. Not to be mistaken for the Legion of the Ocean
@@coolgamers2794 also, pretty irrelevant comment
@@coolgamers2794 like... Ok.... That's your take and I mean they do have a cool mystery element but like.... We's like our green fire boys. They have a bit more personality and I at least prefer the dragon knight look over the ghost rider but space marine look.
I think Sakan's execution of the final Guardsman in the opening was an act of mercy. Showing the Salamanders' empathy and care for humans.
Maybe, but I'm not sure. He had a knife and a bolter, but instead set him on fire.
Partially yes it could assumed that’s the case but with the statement of “what treachery is this, or is this madness?” He would’ve assumed the guardsman to be a traitor plus he was unable to retrieve the gene seed from his brothers which would result in anger and Sakan’s instinct would to enact vengeance for this final slight against his brothers honor by dealing with the man he saw as a traitor in the manner the salamanders deal with all of man’s enemies, with fire.
@@Baboon-nk4wqfire is a fitting way to finish him. Cleansing flame, wash away the xeno infection by burning him away. Could be seen as the ideal way.
@@Towermonkey-sf4md I think it was more mercy as he was more clued in to what afflicted the Guardsmen as he left when the Krieger managed to squeeze out the words saying he was not in control. A mix of an act of mercy to a Guardsman that was genuinely incapable of stopping himself from attacking the Salamander.
Initial confusion leading into frustration and anger over a belief that his brothers' legacies were forever lost to the cowardice of weak-willed Guardsmen deserters that quickly simmered and became more sympathetic after learning what it was, deciding instead to grant a faster death. A slow roast to rising flames in a wreck is a worse way to go than a promethium flamethrower to the face, which would be comparably instant. He granted the Emperor's mercy and a release to a still ever-loyal soul trapped within a body being forced to serve Xenos machinations.
He set him on fire that's still a painful way to die
M2 Animation the GOAT! for people who don't know, these guys did the Kill Team cinematic, Armouring of a Space Marine cinematic, Horus Heresy cinematic, 9th and 10th edition cinematics and also the Age of Sigmar cinematic. Hope GW keeps doing stuff with them because they've done a good job so far.
I also realized they also made the animations for the lego movies and even lego animated series.
Wow. How far they really progressed over the years and im glad they are doing animations for us 40k fans.
I hope they stick around and GW hires more animation studios or hell maybe genndy tartakovsky.
Absolutely agree. These guys are crazy good
IMO, the salamanders are the best Chapter. Unwavering loyalty to humanity makes them some of the ONLY good guys in the 41st millennium.
I paint them often…good stuff.
until you are xenos XD
There is the Lamenters.
Space wolves, raven guard, many blood angels, ultramarines.
I'm going to be a bit pedantic here, but the only "Legions" in the 41st Millennium are the Chaos ones. The Salamanders are a First Founding "Chapter" not a Legion, specifically because the Imperium didn't want those anymore. Current day Chapter share some elements with their 30k counterparts, but they are essentially different entities in a lot of ways.
Like the Dark Angels Chaper shares the name with the Dark Angels Legion. But is a VERY different beast with a different aesthetic, mentality, and culture far flung from what the Lion used to lead.
Really goes to show how durable an astartes is when he talks about multiple organs failing like it’s just a headache
True, although that crash shouldn't have killed the other salamanders.. vulkan's sons are durable as hell, and they have their power armor on.. that crash should have caused minimum injuries to them..
I love how fast Sa'kan moves when the Deathmark fires at him. I think its one of the first times since Astartes, Iv ever seen a space marine sprint like they are supposed to.
Yeah it was super cool, he took like 2 steps and was in cover 20 feet away, they are supposed to like leap-run at super high speeds
If you go watch death of hope trailer u will be amazed lol
The ultramarine Sgt. Also moved very fast when he dodged an incoming Lazer fire in the 2nd episode.
Its a rare sight for angel to show his human features to a human. I hope we get to see a Lamenter one day.
They'll use crayons to draw and animate the Lamenters 😭
I think that’s why he’s doing it, to show he was/is human instead of some walking suit of armor that’s 7 feet tall, pretty cool detail, I don’t think other chapters would do that in a combat zone at least, the mission comes first generally
Legion of the Damned Chapter is far more better.
@@LewisB3217Maybe, but there are a lot of SM models without helmets. I think they would, but for other reasons, not to put the people at ease.
U need to play Space Marine
She had some balls to chat shit directly to a salamander
That Necron unwittingly saved her life, she wasn't going to make it out of that encounter.
I think it's so beautiful small detail, but when Sak'an speaks to the kids his humanity is mirrored with his injuries. He has one heart and two lungs, just like the ones he protects.
13:47 Note: That is a palatine, not a Sister Superior. Palatines are the Equivalent to Lieutenants in the Sororitas. Sister Superiors lead a single squad Palatines are second in command to Canonesses who lead numerous squads
How could you tell?
@@Counterpoints the Halo on her Power Pack on her back. The Palatine Model on the table top is the only model with that style of halo (plus other armor details that indicate it's a Palatine Armor). it's not a big deal, unless you've looked at numerous sororitas models you wouldn't notice it.
Edit: also their arsenal helps too. Palatines only have a Rosarius (the necklace she's holding), and a plasma pistol. Sister Superiors usually have bolters like her squad or another specialized gun alongside a melee weapon. Sister Danica in the show is a Sister Superior, she had a power sword in the 9th ed trailer and her Armor has the Inquisitorial letter "i" on her neck armor
@@RaixsOreh yeah the plasma pistol ladies lack of a melee weapon gives her away, they’re kinda like chaplains in my eyes, good eyes
@@LewisB3217Palatines have power swords as their standard melee weapon, actually.
Also, the holy relic she's carrying in her left hand.@@Counterpoints
Just a note for the end; "Astartes" isnt really a GW series. The credit goes to Syama Pedersen who made the whole thing himself.
I just meant to say this is their best work since Astartes release, not trying to imply they created it.
And killed by GW.
@@benjamintherogue2421the hours it took to make its especially. . . Atleast like 700 since he did it alone
Thank heavens they hired blessed by the Emperor astartes guy. Dude DELIVERS
Quick correction: I don't think Sa'kan is a sergent. I don't remember it being stated during the episode and its very possible he just isn't a sergent.
Yea, he doesn't have any markings either
So I just went on a bit of a search to back this up, and yeah you’re correct.
However, unlike a chapter like the ultramarines, the only difference between a salamanders line marine and a salamanders sergeant is… a golden skull on the sergeant’s helmet.
Which is a bit mildly infuriating.
@@brianwalsh1339 you would be surprised how many chapters barely show the difference lol
I misremembered “brother” as “sergeant” when I was scripting unfortunately
@@Counterpoints Honestly thats okay since he immedately follows his introduction by namedropping an Ultramarine Sergent, so its understandable where you might have fumbled
The scene with the Salamander Sergeant where he shows that he is still human despite being basically a living god as a space marine is amazing. Dont know if anyone else caught this but since one of his hearts has failed along with one of his lungs, he now has just one heart and two lungs like every other "normal human" would have. Just a great overall scene for me. got me to feel some emotion and care about a character that at this point in the show I hardly know.
In the words of the crazy plane lady regarding that female guardsman "THAT MOFO ISNT REAL"
Wish we can eventually get something this good for the Crimson Fists
You have carried your burdon. Now its time to carry you
(not sure if its correct)
I hope that Space Marine 3 will be about fighting the Necrons. Battles like this, where even saving a few civilians feels like a victory and even fighting normal Necron warriors is a challenge.... I would be on fire for the game right away!
That might be a DLC for SM2
I can see that as a dark souls type game
Or space Marine 2 I have a feeling fighting tyranids is going to get rather samey after a while
Space marine is a horde shooter through and through, not sure the Necrons would provide the type of gameplay the series is going for. It's a cool idea sure, but the mechanics would have to be altered to cater to it and it's better off being its own thing.
@@AParticularlyConcernedCitizen I totally agree, but doesn't the horde aspect stop as soon as the Chaos Space Marines show up? At least that was the case in Space Marine 1, where you weren't fighting hordes of Orks then, but mostly just little groups of Chaos Space Marines (I think the largest number was 10 at a time, but never more than 10 if I remember correctly?). I don't know what it will be like with the Thousand Sons once they show up, but I bet...it will be just like Space Marine 1. AND Rubic Marines aren't any different than Necron-Warriors: Both are soulless robots XD
The dark skin and red eyes is not from the gene-seed of Vulkan but from the home world of the salamanders Nocturne's radiation. Too many people confuse this fact but Vulkan only changed that way after growing up on the planet, the locals of that planet are all that way from birth.
I’ve read opposite but I’ll research to make sure. Even in the episode they said it’s part of his genetic ascension
@@Counterpoints Its been more established in the 30k lore then the 40k lore but then again the change to the salamander chapter only happened from the 5th edition space marine codex. Before that the chapter was the same as other space marines with only mentions of the local populace of Nocturne being this way.
It is possible that I have mistaken fan a theory to explain how the people of nocturne survived as they are constantly bombarded by the same solar radiation
The statement in the episode is more likely an overall excuse to hide that it is a mutation from the greater Imperium given how they treat mutants
@@russellblaik3414Or a retcon.
What I don't understand is how a single planet can produce an entire chapter.
@@rivenarchon333 The chapter is made over time with there home world planet by keeping replacement troops in reserve over time. most recruits are left on the planet still undergoing the procedure to become a space marine. As a space marine is near immortal and the chapter not being able to go over 1000 marines at one time a single planet can easily support it with recruits, if there is no possible way for the planet to have enough recruits from a single world then chapters can get there recruits from other systems. This is seen as a great honor and all fleet based chapters recruit in this way
@@rivenarchon333 Planets house billions of people, what is strange about them having enough to provide a thousand guys. You know there's tens of thousands of neophytes and aspirants just hanging out waiting to be quietly recruited in a way that makes it look like they're totally not going over the limit. A single town could provide an entire chapter of space marines.
SoB was about to get the "Marine Malevolent" treatment for her attitude, thanks to the Deathmark she avoided it
She’s getting a temporary stay on repentia service 😂
its possible in time she could see his point of view but that will get her in big trouble in the long run...the downside of blind, fanaticism.
This is why Sisters of Battle are trash. I'll take a squad of Catachan Devils over the zealot fanatical rampaging Sisters.
@@coolgamers2794bear in mind that in the previous episode, upon encountering a guardsman, her first instinct was to check if he was alright.
She's only gone full murder hobo when it's apparent they've be been corrupted. Even her desire to kill the civilians makes sense, like, she isn't being malicious. Sisters as a whole are pretty compassionate towards other imperials.
Catechan on the other hand are known for team killing officers just because they don't like being told what to do. But they have Straken, so...
i bet she was afected by that thing necrons have. she touched her eyebrow near that fugly scar.
I love how the scene with the two Necron warriors feels so much like Terminator. You could just use two T-800s instead of the warriors and a resistance fighter instead of the guardsman and it would fit perfectly, just like you can do the opening scenes of the Terminator movies with Necron warriors instead of Skynet's robots.
Stories like this is what makes warhammer 40k compelling. It seems like for the first time, GW edited something that echoes how I pictured this universe in my head
Seeing a Salamander live up to their name is always a pleasure. Happy that the animation is great as well
Games workshop has nothing to do with Astartes, but I do agree that this is great and just what we all want/need!
I just meant to say this is their best work since Astartes release, not trying to imply they created it.
I love the Salamanders so much. They're every bit as badass as any of the other Chapters, but they're one of the very few Imperium facets that embodies the humanity they're supposed to be part of. And in a universe as dark and unforgiving as 40k, the compassion that the Salamanders show is genuinely beautiful.
I love how tiny the unaugmented Humans look next to the Salamander
The detail of the white part of the eye at 20:41.....amazing.
This is the best representation of salamanders and just lore I have seen so far. This show is really, really great.
This..this is worthy of a subscription for GW. Cant wait till more episodes and i hope this quality keeps up.
It took a couple years, but we're finally here, getting some QUALITY content. I'm going to actually sub to W+ when this series is over, so I can binge it.
Sally: "Are you going to put me into a self-defence situation?"
"Are you here to save us?"
....
"What are your names little ones?"
Savage.
I love how fast Sak'an's attitude towards the Sister changes when she threatens the civilians. Especially when questioning her "unworthy" comment. If she wasn't a Sister, I have no doubt he'd have broken a rib for daring to even give the survivors a dirty look
Thank you. I really appreciate the brakdowns just because they help me understand a lot of the stuff. I'm a guard main, and know little to nothing about the Sisters and the Astartes.
I 100 percent agree with your assessment. Games FINALLY put it all together! Thank you for the BEST explanation of all of these episodes. I come here first for episode breakdowns.
so cool we read so often how an astartes looks through his helmet and now we can see it. awesome
Even though more often than not I have already watched the episodes you review. However I always look forward to your insights / break downs. Thanks for all you do!
I like that they found a way to show that the Salamander's still have a conscious and empathy by showing his mercy with the corrupted Gaurdsman,
I think pariah nexus is horribly underrated. I show it to friends who have no understanding of WH and they love it. If the animation budget was higher, this would rival with some of the top 3d animated shows and films of all time. I think we should all take time to appreciate the studios hard work on this series, it's well deserved!
I absolutely love that they went with the Salamander chapter for these...
Really cool of *Hawkins & Company* to sponsor you! I perused their catalog and found quite a few that I really liked, plus American-made leather will _always_ be based!
For a moment there, I was expecting the sister to pull off a summary execution behind the SM's back lol. Can't wait for the third!
Oooh! I've been looking forwards to this!
Also : Hawkins & Company!
It's so awesome to see real hand crafted leatherwork goods, there's too much Chinesium wank products everywhere.
I really like the rock like sound that Sa’khans armor makes when he pats his chest. Ceramite being more of a rock like texture instead of the loud metallic sound makes a lot more sense when it comes to legions like the raven guard and alpha legion being sneaky bois.
I like seeing the different legions and factions, gives you a feel for them all through the different series. Salamanders seem like good dudes. Appreciate the breakdowns on all of it
Great summary keept it up !
also Necrons are my first Army , i absolutely love how they are made in this 2 Episodes. i adore Illuminor Szeras !
I really dug the scene in Ep.1 when Szeras activates the Deathmark, and the dialog between them! I've watched that scene several times...
love Sa'kan very much in this series
I love how the guardsman and the Marine say Unworthy together....
The thing to remember about Space Marines, is that the primary way they defend Humanity is to KILL its enemies, not stand between enemy weapons fire and human beings. This is also what makes Salamanders different to most of their cousins. Because they still interact with their people on Nocturne, they are not so far removed from Humanity that they lack empathy for their short, fragile lives. To be so close to them reminds Salamanders what they fight for.
absolutely phenomenal by gw and m2 animation, if they keep this content coming I will definitely remain subscribed for such incredible quality. I've recently gotten back into warhammer 40k miniatures and started an adapta sororitas army. Seeing them in brought to life in this series is next level, the animation, sound design, voice acting and even small details in the back ground for ambience is something I didn't expect to see given hammer and bolters poor quality letting me down with a poor experience but they truly delivered with this content I just hope they keep them coming with minimal time gaps. ty counterpoints for your review.
I watched this a few hours before you released this video and i have to say i loved this episode. When the Destroyer was leaning over the impaled sister it looked to me as if he was mirroring her own words ´´you are a cancer to this galaxy´´ ´´I despise you´´.
18:32 Just absolutely blows me away how FAST astartes actually can move in power arrmour. By the Emperor is awesome.
Been looking forward to your run through of this! Awesome work man thank you 🙏
It is HERESY that only two episodes of this are out! I want to see the rest of it, and the Adeptus Mechanicus had better be there to salvage some of this Necron tech.
Animation is fantastic, audio mixing is superb and is exactly the kind of show that would get newcomers in….and it’s on a subpar service that can’t even play on a fucking tv to witness this….I know GW wants a firm grasp on their ip, but not being on a mainstream streaming service and no real support for bigger tvs completely undermines this show and would’ve been the flagship port of call for newcomers.
I love that hes shown to have some asian feature maybe from the place they recuited him from, and the gene seed just turned him onyx as it should be
Your channel got me to just dive head first into Warhammer lore and I'm not sure if I appreciate, or despise you for it.
Hawkins & Company!
New subscriber. Just discovered your channel last week and enjoying all your previous work as fast as I can watch.
With this amount of production quality, content and detail. GW take my money! Well done!
I don't know why, but nothing makes me happier than the metallic, heavy thuds of a Space Marine marching down any path, or the sound of Holy Boltor fire
17:48
The last thing eldars sees before became gem souls.
Astartes wasn't GWs creation FYI. We should never forget that. But yes this latest release has been awesome so far.
Thank you for all your videos. Pariah Nexus has been one of my favourites and have taken out a Warhammer+ sub because of it. Hope they add more content soon.
The recreated battle is beautiful visually, audibly, and fluffy. Amazing still
I genuinely love how the Sergeant steps infront of the sister almost scoffing "unworthy" back at the sister or battle, implying to me that no one is unworthy of the emperor and his angels protection, the imperium of man doesnt deserve the salamanders and the only other chapter i can see responding this way is the lamenters. genuinely what we hope the soldiers of tomorrow act as protectors of humanity
Awesome job as always!
Love the videos . Keep it up!! I need to go ahead and pull the trigger on warhammer tv!!!
This episode was just about exactly what I needed to see to from them… I wasn’t a fan of the little micro chapter vibes of epidode 1.. I know episode 2 did have a few chapters but it still felt much less intrusive… and it was very nice to see a sister of battle that I didn’t want to pump full of my gene seed…well , at least it wasn’t my first thought..
Pariah Nexus. Infernus Marines. Firestorm Assault Force. It is a GOOD time to be a Son of Nocturne
Salamanders are unusually calm, even for a space marine. The only other chapter I can think of is the Ultramarines. When he says "unworthy?" it's anger. It's more like "UNWORTHY!?"
Weaponry sounds are really well done. Even laz rifles sound dangerous for a change.
I do believe that Salamander has understood what was happening to the guardsmen and it was out of mercy that he has finished them off.
Space marines are well aware of necron weaponry that they chose to evade than tanking it and their reaction speed is no joke for a warrior that large
I have this huge theory of how Nurgle came into existence from the cancer and rot that the Necrontyr discarded during their biotransference, thus giving Nurgle an origin story similar to Slaneesh and the Eldar. That Sister calling the Destroyer a cancer upon the galaxy may be closer to the truth that you thought.
I actually really like that even after the sister showed intent to kill the civilians and called them "unworthy" the salamander still tries to talk her down several times and doesn't immediately resort to violence to solve a problem, even when threatened by it
How ironic, that the sister is talking about the faithless. Also I would have really liked this to show the inhuman reflexes and capabilities of a marine, and the cold ruthlessness and unknowable alienness of the necrons in their movements, but on second thought they got the balance between lore accurate and good to view just right
This is really cool, hope we see more of it.
I really have a curiosity on why do the Space Marines remove their helmets during battle if this is how they work? Their helmets are OP af.
It’s just for narrative so you can see their expressions it’s silly but a lot of people empathize with a face more than a helmet.
This time I think it’s to show the actual humans that the Astartes was once / is human, these people are in a combat zone with robots that are controlling people, he wanted to calm them down a bit
Probably only a Salamander and a few other chapters would do this. They are much more humane and will go to great lengths to save and empathize with civilians.
A Charcarodon or a Black Raven, not so much
My only complaint is there are so many "ooo look how awesome space marines are!" type of shots whereas astartes is driving narrative with every second. We get it, GW, your minis and models are dope, that's why we watch, why we buy. But story is important also. However, major props to the scene transition between the canoness dying and the sgt standing over her fallen corpse.
The necron just need a major redesign to not look like cartoony skeletons.
Also, Sakan deez nuts!
Really love your breakdowns.
Finally gw did something right
Small side thing but this episode pretty much proves that the guardswoman is a hallucination, acting kinda like the sister's voice of doubt (and maybe her conscious?).
She is neither introduced and not even mentioned by either Sa'Kan or sister Danikur (couldn't really understand her name), meaning that he obviously cannot see her and she does but seems to know of the guardswoman's nature.
The guardswoman seems to just suddenly appear in spots, similarly to the first episode where she stood surrounded by mind-shackled guardsmen but nobody saw her. She also mirrors Sa'Kan in questioning why the sister calls the civilians 'unworthy', she pkeads for her to 'not do this'. And lastly she calls out to her to snap the sister out of the shell shock.
I am honestly very interested as to why the sister acknowledged what is likely a figment of her stressed mind (or, theory, something actively caused by the necrons somehow, maybe an experiment) and openly talked to it earlier. Maybe she just feels lonely, maybe she is struggling in her faith.
great commentary!
I wonder what happened to the guy that made Astartes. I kinda expected part 2 to drop by now, but seems like GW has him locked up in the dungeons while other teams are making their animations.
Yes, i was expecting this
Remember Astartes was not done by GW but was a fan piece first before the threatened with join or be sued into oblivion. but agreed this is awesome.
That's a very kind act from the Deathmark to intervene at the right moment and save the life of that Sister...
Hawkins & Company!
Great video, CP!
adds to the theory that guardsman with the sister is just a figment since Sa'kan didn't acknowledge its presence that much
this is phenomenal
Great work as always keep it up my guy
i miss the old helmets. these arent my space marines :( . i know i know, old bear, old man, things change.

I wonder how spacemarines and ground infantry in general in warhammer40k make the tradeoff decision of wearing a helmet or not?
I'd imagine the helmet is stuffy as all hell and restricts certain senses like FOV, smell, touch(for wind direction) etc. but the helmet protecting from glancing headshots, shrapnel, a layer to throw away when hit by the molecule disassembling weapon of the necrons etc. would also be valuable af.
I'm liking watching a few of your 40k videos, but I was more-so remembering your old movie breakdowns (Specifically the Full Metal Jacket ones) which I'd like to re-watch due to the interesting and insightful way you talked about the scenes as opposed to just sitting and "reacting" to them.
However, I haven't been able to find those in this channel nor your regular Counterpoints channel; are those videos still up somewhere? I'd love to watch them.
Have a great day!
