Do you remember a few years ago when Christensen dad Was threatening to go to barca bc his kid didn't get more playing time? It's that kind of entitlement that will crush a club. You saw it on Abraham's face when he refused to track back. The name of the game is what have you done for me lately? There are no entitled spots and there are no guarantees. In my mind, Willian has earned himself a new contract. Abraham isn't guaranteed to start. Zouma has earned his place for more regular minutes moving forward. It's all about how you play not how you've played

@michael murillo wouldn't say it's gone to his head but it's more the weighted expectations that he now has with being our top scorer.
Think about it, your first season as first choice striker and getting on a roll, taking an injury and playing on it for a majority of a season as well as being top scorer for your club.
That's a lot of pressure for anyone coming into a side that's as young as Tammy.

Some of them do look good but how many 20 year old european players have looked just as good if not better and flopped some of the youngsters barca and madrid have splashed on and never made it . So you have a few kids who look promising and usa think they know what's up. Brooks is older but hes average at best. Billy gilmour had a few good games before the break and everyone was calling him the next big thing. Not saying there is no talent coming through but there is no maturity or experience.

Pulisic has turned into Hazard. One of my favorite players to watch along with De Bruyne and VVD in the prem. Gilmour had another great game so excited to see him in action again
Stop hating on Gilmour. He is young and he is learning. Jorginho is a good midfield option but sometimes he style of play does not fit in the match. Let’s acknowledge the good work boys; Lampard is doing good, Zouma was amazing this game, Jorginho entered well, Pulisic getting more and more deadly and Giroud made a good appearance.
We need a CB and a goalkeeper that can compete with Kepa for the position. That’s it. Also, quit being negative all the time with Kepa, he’s young and can improve.
Kepa is like Eden Hazard at Madrid

Jorginho should have been brought earlier in the second half to control the midfield. Since starting the game, the midfield was unstable and was totally empty, like a chaos 🤦🏼♂️
What the first half was great the mid field made the first and second goal

Adenike Roseline ye and it was also the reason zaha had so much space for the first palace goal
mr roy Kanté, Gilmour and Jorginho are all solid DMFs. Hell, even Kova can play there if necessary. The issue was that Gilmour wasn’t as imposing in that holding role as he was prior to the restart.
I do think Jorginho would have had the positional awareness to prevent Zaha from even having that opportunity, but Gilmour needs time to settle into top flight football.
If Abraham does not leave Chelsea then I will know we are not serious
Today's performance is even more evidence we NEED to offer Willian a new contract! I don't care how much potential there is in the ranks, or new signings coming through, Willian is too good to let go!
Before Pulisic started playing regularly Willian was our only threat and creator.
