I was stoked when we picked up Jordan Travis
Going to miss JT at FSU. Hess good dude. He’s a winner that makes big plays and almost NEVER turns the ball over. Treat him well.
Why? He's not nfl qb....No arm, no anticipation, athleticism won't carry over.....He's like Bryce Young without the anticipation
I think they did really well Day 3. Stiggers, Allen, and Jordan were all great value! ✈️

I feel like the 4th round trades hurt them. The lions trade for a 2025 3rd pick was good tho. Kinda iffy on Jordan Travis. But who knows maybe he pans out. I like the rbs. Tells me that they r gonna run a lot next year. Also the corley pick. I hope he's a beast. And I hope we don't regret passing on Bowers. But I approve of olu
you are for sure right on the handshake deal with Denver, it looked too good to be true yesterday. i'm fine with it tho still, we got a useable gadget WR and we are stacked on the D line anyway (JFM being the most overpaid of the group)
Should have drafted DT in the fifth or sixth to retstart when our line is up for big contracts next year.
Plus, we ended up with 2 DL studs in Leonard Taylor III and Braiden McGregor, who should have been drafted in the 5th or 6th round.

Love the Allen and Travis picks but I don't understand going after a 2nd RB when the Jets have Hall and Izzy plus Allen now.
The Isaiah Davis pick I don’t understand but I guess they will let Izzy and Davis battle out the 3rd and 4th spot. Breece and Allen are the one-two punch.
JD doesn't think Izzy can improve his pass protection. That being the case, he shouldn't have drafted him so high last year.

My thoughts can never have to much depth on the OL I love the Jordan Travis pick reminds me of a Jordan love style pick and I think it’s great this draft wasn’t flashy but it was good

I dont understand taking a second RB who is similar. to 1st running back taken. I would hsve taken a second OL either a RT or G as well as a 2nd receiver in a strong receiver draft
Very high Travis, humble and a true leader . Might be the steal of the Draft. Not so excited about Drafting 2 RBs . Big boy in the middle for the DL,Stopping the run would've been nice.

VERY happy with the first 3 picks of this draft. Mystified with the rest tbh. It was like the first three were too good so they had to bring Jets back to earth. I guess Travis works in that he was only that low due to injury and may have gone in 3rd-4th without it. But he's not young, and the Jets could have found a 3rd string guy later and got a safety and a DT in the fourth and fifth. Someone tell me anyone would have drafted Stiggers? Could have had him with the last pick surely.
The coaches actually spoke to Stiggers like he made the team. This is how you find hidden gems. Jordan and Mordacai were the only QB's who stood a chance of actually making it as a NFL starter.
Late round picks shouldn’t be counted on to be starters or even stars.
The Jets FINALLY have a deep enough roster where they draft guys who will mostly sit if all goes well.

JFM was a good player for us but I’ll never be able to hear his name without remembering the roughing the passer he committed that reversed a pick (I think it was a pick 6? Don’t remember for sure though)
So basically, if we follow the bread crumbs, we got Braelon Allen, Isaiah Davis, and Qwan'tez Stiggers in exchange of what we got from the Zach Wilson trade.
I love Travis learning behind Rodgers and Taylor I think at worst he’s tyrod Taylor a great backup qb option I think he’ll be better tho
JFM is just a cap casualty, a term we Jets fans aren't used to being applied to our team. No worries, there are other JFM's and Bryce Huffs on the horizon.

Braelon Allen and Jordan Travis were perfect picks, however I don't know why Joe went for a second RB instead of building more OL depth. Felt like that pick was kinda a waste
Nah, they should've kept JFM and went all in this season. I understand hedging the bets because of A-A Ron getting injured so fast last year and we can always make some trades and training camp cut pick ups but on paper right now it's our best chance. Hopefully A-A Ron plays the whole year and we get into the playoffs!
I only look at the QB position spending a couple hours a week "scouting" College draftable QB's. I look for particular things, tools, ability to hit the entire route tree, toughness, ability to handle pressure, "Pro level throws" ""Throwing a reciever open" 'Anticipation" This is why i was 1000% out on Zach. Travis has a very good chance to develope into a upper half of the league QB.

Q: why would you IR him and make him unavailable and risk not having him when injury prone Rodgers and Taylor miss an overlapping week?
So you can carry the extra OL. If we get down to QB3, I'd rather them just hand off to Breece anyway. If you keep a 3rd QB in the roster than you are only gonna be able to carry 8 OL into the season. Jets carried 9 last year, and Douglas said he wanted to carry an extra one if he could do it over.
You could keep him as QB3 but then you'd need to find 2 more roster spots to trim down
I wish they would have kept the 4th round picks and picked Rattler and Tampa. And why another running back pick a receiver
I don't think you can play travis all preseason and then dump him on IR, but I still like the pick. More likely he does limited team activities and is on IR for the year. Otherwise they will have to roster him or practice squad. I don't think anyone would steal him and stash him as a top two option though if we try to Practice squad him
I think you could claim some type of set back for him but if they just have him hang around the team for a season without much practice, I'm kinda alright with that too. I do wanna see him play though lol
Not happy with how he handled day three when it comes to addressing some offensive line depth, especially on the interior. Guys like Devon Foster or Mccormick or Cedric Van pran seem like they could help short-term and long-term. I don’t know as good as Joe is he misses on those opportunities more than I’d like.
We need to remember all the picks here we loved and pretty much all of us mocked them over and over in simulation drafts! I think Other than Olu I used to get same players over and over in PFF simulator. So if the players don't work out God forbid, we can't get mad at JD. Only thing I am not happy about is leaving HOLE at Safety and not having a quality Guard to back up. Yes even Connor McGovern is good back up but what are we waiting for. Let'g get this done.
Thanks Mumtaz!! I completely agree. IOL and S were areas I thought we'd look to upgrade and I'm not sure that really happened. I would feel better if McGovern comes back but I wouldn't mind targeting other IOL and S in FA!

I can tolerate dumping jfm’s contract,, always felt he was being played out of position , should’ve been inside next to Q, Clemons , Johnson will fill that role with little to no drop off in production,, but losing Huff to take a guy the very team that signed Huff to replace that’s on the wrong side of 30 makes me sick..
