In this video, we will be traveling from Cebu City to Siargao Island which is located at the northeastern coast of Mindanao. Siargao Island is currently one of the most sought after travel destinations in the country. In fact, it was also voted as the best island in the world in 2019 by Condé Nast Traveler. Although many people would immediately think of Bali, Hawaii, Palawan or Maldives as the best islands, Siargao was also voted by Condé Nast Traveler readers as the best island in Asia but also topped the Condé’s list as the best island in the world.
Siargao Island attracts thousands of tourists specially surfers all over the world for its famous surfing spot called Cloud 9 which is responsible in making Siargao acquire its title as the Surfing Capital of the Philippines. Besides this, the island also offers plenty of activities like island hopping, cliff jumping, snorkeling, diving etc. The island is also home to warm and friendly locals which another reason why foreign travelers keep on coming back to the island.

Beautiful island but there are thousands of them in Philippines. Honestly Siargao is a bit overrated in my eyes. Perhaps for surfers it's a nice place to be. The nature of the other attractions can be seen in many islands. Camiguin is still my number one on the list! 🙂 volcanoes, Fresh water and lots of it, cold springs, hot springs, white island and overall amazing views.

Great to hear from your brother! That’s kinda hard question coz they are too different! But personally, I still like Boracay more coz there’s a lot going on there. Boracay has malls, more fastfood, there are more things to do in Boracay for me. But Siargao is beautiful and more peaceful

Kailangan ang improved experience. Magulo ang infrastructure at papunta sa Siargao. Mabuting infrastructure will attract big spending tourista at hindi ang mga backpackers.
Wala po bang mga buses, multicab or jeepney sa Siargao na umiikot buong Siargao? Di pa kasi ako nakapunta ng Siargao nagbabalak palang.
Tuktuk, tricycle at single motor lang. Vans naman sa airport ng Siargao, at may iilan sa pier.
Pag sa Dapa pier ka dumating, advisable na mag van kayo papuntang Gen. Luna, dahil medyo may kalayoan ang pier kumpara sa Airport.

Yes. Coz they usually charge more. Those tricycles queued up outside the port tend to charge higher fares. (around 300 Pesos per ride)

Wala bang Tourism council ang Siargao? O Siargao development Authority para siya lang ang mag-manage ng isla para sa ikakaganda. Mukhang kanya-kanyang tayo ng mga resort sa isla.

Dapat ni rereport sa local tourism ang mga trike na over charging kase gateway kayo to surgao islands masisirq kayo sa international tourist. At local din. Sabi nga first impression last. Hindi na babablik ang tourist sa inyo kapag nangontrata kayo. Sa potential tourist spot sa future i warning surgao dapat may tourist police kayo. Na mag babantay ng mga overprice ride fee. Dapat may fix fee kayo at yun qng susundin. Kase kung honest ang tao sa sirgao dudumugib kayo ng turista at palaging babalik sa islands. Pero kapag binuwaya nyo mga turista hindi na sipa babalik pa. Locals din mawawalan ng trabaho. Orgqnized nyo na ang lahat ng fares. At local govt gawin nyo lahat para comptable lahat ng turista. Katulad sa thailand ma vab shuttle sila na aircon. May choice ang tourist hindi lang strike:

There are 28 daily flights coming from and going to Siargao. From Clark, Cebu and Manila.

Ganda po ng video nyo. Thanks at nakita ko itong Surigao City. Paka chakang small city nito. Walang effort ang local government para pagandahin man lang ang city dahil ito pala ang gateway para mkapunta sa Siargao Island tapos ganito ultimo yung boulevard na unang makikita paglapag ng barko puno ng mga nakaparada na trucks. Walang kwentang city.

@@BASKETBALL678. New Clark City na ang magiging 2nd largest metropolitan area ng Pinas kapag natapos na ang NSCR train system na mag dudugtong sa Metro Manila to Pampanga/Tarlac. Kaya imbes sa Cebu pupunta negosyo mahaharang na ito ng New Clark City. Kayo na ang papalit sa pwesto ng Davao bilang 3rd at Davao ang 4th. Kaya Pampanga at Tarlac na ang magiging insustrial powerhouse.
