A paracord eyewear retainer is a great accessory for any pair of glasses, especially if you're going to be fishing, climbing, or participating in any other activity where it might be difficult to recover your eyewear if it falls off your face. This paracord project allows you to create a lanyard for any eyewear to ensure a safe and secure fit. Let your glasses hang around your neck or snug them up to your face with this DIY paracord sunglass strap.

Thanks. I'm really bad at visualising and manipulating 3d objects like knots and I found that setting the speed of the video at 0,50 and 0,75 helped me a lot.
Less than 2 minutes, right to the point, no bullshit or begging. Liked, saved, subbed.
Well fucking done, mijo!
Wow. OK. It took me a little more than two minutes. I’m getting old. Pushing 70. But I succeeded in my first Paracord project. Other than wrapping up Paracord so it’s not laying all over my floor. Thank you very much. I will check you all out again. Have a good day.
as a person stuck with glasses for over 52 years (contacts worked for only about 3 years) I love this trick as I'm always losing those holders. now since I almost always have some cordage on me I'll have holders to make sure my coke bottles will stay where they need to. thanks for this and all your vids!
stay safe keep warm have fun and whittle to keep your sanity.
just another ol greybeard dino

Nice! Glad we could share a handy tip. Enjoy the sights out there. :) - Chris
Thanks man, now I can go on roller coasters without having to worry about losing my glasses!
That was exactly what I was thinking.
Naked trampoline
It works! Easy to take on and take off, but retains firmly once adjusted. Thank you very much!
Thanks so much for this. My glasses handles have gotten wonky and I can't get them fixed until this COVID-19 lockdown is over. This is actually keeping it on my face for the first time in weeks. Now I can finally get back to working out without it falling off my face :D
I'm an American living in the Philippines for 12 years now. I do alot of jungle camping, trekking and I even have my own uninhabited island off the coast of Zambales called Capones Island. With all I have learned and the miles of paracord I have I never thought of that. Can't find good glasses lanyards here. Boy do I feel like an idiot. The moment I saw this video I made them for my safety glasses, reading glasses and my regular glasses. Thanks sooooooo much!
We're so glad to hear this tip helped you out. Thanks for stopping by to watch. :) - Chris
I dont understand what he did after step three. I see another knot that he didn't mentioned. Help please
He did step 4 on the right side but didn’t show it Bc it’s the same thing he did on the left side for step 4. You just do step 4 on both sides.
Same. I couldn't figure out what he did there. Even when I did that to both ends I ended up with a piece attached to my sunglasses and the second piece just knotted onto the middle of the first piece.
Thank you this solves the problem of dabbing with glasses
But you can go to an eyeglass store to get an eyeglass strap.
Bro you're awesome! I can finally wear my sunglasses while riding snowboard on them hot spring days without worrying about my favourite shades!!!
Nicely explained. Not sure the cord won't slip off the earpieces. I might give it a try soon.
Agreed. Simple. No BS. Thank you for your time.
Simple ingenious ideas such as this is what makes America great
thank you. The bit that attaches to the glasses is the info I needed the most. I will now use this to attach to an old necklace that I can use as the chain of a glasses holder... brilliant video thanks
Thanks man Ive broken two pairs because I skateboard and they fall off this has helped a lot.
thanks for this! did this for my mother's eyeglasses and she liked it very much :)
Thanks so much! I used an old wire cable (from those vacation handmade necklace gift shops lol) for basketball and now I'm not afraid they fall!
this is super handy! i just needed 2ft cord for my head apparently, had to remake this to figure out the right size.
Great video. I seriously just spent $7 on a couple cheap straps for glasses. Too late to return them, but I'll always have this trick in the field in case I forget or break mine. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Matt. Glad to hear you liked the tip. It's nice to have those tips and tricks in the back of your mind to have ready for the next time you need them. Thanks for watching. :) - Chris
My glasses are very front heavy. Which one is better in your personal opinion?
used your end knots on a bit of thin elastic....thank you so much...you are a lifesaver!! I am new to wearing glasses and have lost so many....(i buy the $3 ones...not so bad if I lose,,,just inconvenient),
I didn't have enough spare chord laying around...so I just made a taught-line hitch knot a little left of center of the mid-point .. This allows for a quick 2-hand adjustment with your left hand resting against your head just above your ear.
Exactly what I needed! Thanks!
Hello Sierra. Thank you for teaching us this practical Paracord. Just, that the knots are so difficult for me to do that I would have to ask a marine to teach me how.
Love it thank you first timer. Liked and subscribed.
Definitely going to build some of these. Thanks for a great tip
Good tip! Now I can keep my glass on. Thanks for the tip.
Cool. Fisherman's knot. 👌
Definitely came in handy!
What i did i took a button with a spring from an old ski jacket. Works like a charm, just press the button and slide.
bro u saved my life
The noose knot was helpful, but i switched the figure 8 knot for a fishermans knot for less bulk and more cordage while keeping the adjustablility
... Very Sniggley Sniggley Old Bean 🏴✌️🌄
I've always had trouble stretching the rubber ends of purchased retainers onto my glasses - too small or too fiddly for my fingers! :-) Thanks for this!
Thanks for the awesome tutorial! I made one following your instructions and it works just great!
thank you!!!
Loved it. Thank you
Thanks
you have a very nice mic
made one, works great. thanks for the info.
Thankyouuu
too fast on the knots
Excellent thank you!
Thank you so much. I made it! I cant get the new spec right now :( my spec keep falling off
Cool vid and idea!
Thanks Dane! :) - Chris
big thanks to you hehe
Can we use this tips for playing
basketball
great tip
Thanks Ben! :) - Chris
Sir please clear the after 4steps what to do
nice video
Cool, I'll have to try it. I even have some orange 550 cord... :-)
Nice. The orange makes the lanyard stand out, which makes finding your glasses easier. You can get really fancy and put a piece of foam on the cord to make them float. Glad you liked the tip! :) - Chris

Good tutorial but too fast

you should always have a safety release clip on anything paracord that goes around your neck!
This is true, but in fairness I think it's unlikely the knots would hold to the glasses under pressure, and the glasses themselves almost certainly won't support body weight without breaking.
Im not understanding step four could someone explain it to me? The cord has a knot already tied on the right side how do I tie it?
Could you use an elastic cord instead of a paracord? I ask as I am sending this video to my wife who lives in a small rural village in the Province of Cotabato in the Philippines. She is going to the nearest city, Kidapawan City in that Province to get an eye exam and 2 new pairs of glasses, instead of the bifocal pair she had, which was blown off, in high wind, when she was riding on the back of her brother's motorbike. But I don't know if Gaisano Mall or Mega Mart sells paracord. Has anyone made one from an elastic cord. Thanks and God Bless.
@0:34 You completely skipped a step before step four totally confusing now it looks like you have three pieces of string???
am i the only one here who thought it went way to fast to keep up and know what to do?
Is
im offended you used a "noose" on the end of the glasses, they did nothing wrong.
get out of here! that's fuckin awesome thanks I'll make mine probably tomorrow, no, seriously!
This Video is way to fast
If you click on "Settings" at the bottom of your video, you can slow the speed down.
Could these instructions be any more terrible?! Too fast and not very clear. I had to play the video in 0.25x speed and still wound up with a giant ball of paracord. Lame.
it's too fast
