Rest in peace Craig Breen u legend, you will forever be remembered. I had to rewatch this in honor to you, as i recalled you talked about this during a commentary session during WRC
Why has one of these guys passed away now??
Was that Craig?
Well, he went flat flat flat up to the square right like he was told to. I'd say job well done 👍
RBR default notes be like...
lol!
I was personally victimized by this today. Medium right my ass!
the sumppu curse
Hilarious, I reckon it's just a bad note, get rid of the "flat out" bit and just say "40" pause "Brake, square right."
Co driver talking too much at the start, then immediately contradicts himself. Completely forgets the 40 to 1 right and starts saying flat to square right as soon as they set off.
He said 40 to 1 right and then flat to the square right…it was the drivers fault.
@@thecarpetman7687 He shouldn't have mention 'flat' at all, that's what was confusing.
When I hear smile for the camera 📷 I'm thinking do your job f the camera lol 😆
Father Ted and Father Jack go Rallying.
true
So was it flat to the square right ?
Right......😂.
Means go flat out until u start coming up on the L shape right turn
Not much point emphasizing flat out too much, or at all considering it’s start 40 square right.
@@blumie006 it means the bend of the turn is essentially flat, however you're still correct because yeah you can take them going "flat out".
Flat flat flat... as they come up to the hairpin turn. I mean what'd they think was gonna happen?
this isn't a bust up, this is just northern irish guys chatting.
Wrong there mate ones from castle blaney
Flat to the square right, he forgot to mention it was only 50 yards away hahahahaha.
falling in love again!!
Co drivers fault he should be saying brake instead he keeps telling him to pin it
Seems to me like one of them was sitting in the wrong seat!...... 😀
Class 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Proper rally drivers🤣🤣
The Irish. Legends
💔
Just a brake down in communication, not how I would have called it but the drive should understand the notes
They’re best friends now😅
jesus know that road well, over on the mountain bike on Saturday during the day 3 of the rally.
Legend❤
How can you go FLAT FLAT in any square Right or Left Dosent make any sense
It does, obviously slow down for square right. Not continue flat out.
Monte carlo 2023 rnd 2 ss5 brought me here
i hit the like button at 15. second :D
Craig: whats up here
Co driver: 1 right
The co driver was the cause he confused breen by telling him the wrong turn
Crash dash? We're getting somewhere
I’m northern Irish class
hahahahaha Fucking Awesome!!! He said fUCKING fLAT >>>
Any one actually no his name
My da Barry and the legend himself Paddy
Temper temper😂😂😂😂
Just saw these people rallying haha
Read the transcript it's hilarious!
Why didn't he just say 100 square right.
I wud say navigators fault there .. I would of crashed n all with they notes .. and am not even a rally driver
Lad my da just said 40 into the 1 right which is a simple turn ye can see with your eyes and then flat to the square right then straight after that basically
the driver was still at fault. A 1 right is nothing so it was 60 to square right.
Navigator literally explained it beforehand, but this is kind of a confusing call... the driver was obviously confused as well seeing as he took the square right way too fast as if it was a flat right. This was totally the driver's fault... if I would have received these notes in dirt rally 2.0 I would have understood.
The problem in this case is when you're driving, you don't want someone shouting in your ear repeatedly "flat flat flat" because it plays with your subconsciousness and you might react to it. Even the best have done that mistake, by reacting to something they hear just as they're focusing on controlling the car on the limit, for example McRae's roll in Rally GB 2001, misinterpreting the "cut" note by Grist (which was for the next corner). The co-driver should just shut up and let his driver do his own thing, instead of trying to tell them how to drive. Just deliver the notes once and shut up.
@@hristoitchovI'm not sure if you are aware that prior to each rally (that uses pace notes) the driver and co-driver recce (reconnoitre) a stage. Meaning that they drive the stages when the road (more often than not) is still open and work on the pace notes together to make sure they are as refined as possible. Now, Grist is calling the notes for Colin up to two or three corners in advance because of the speed they're travelling and it isn't hard to remember what pace notes have been called 15-20 seconds ago. There are many times when the co-driver will reiterate the upcoming pace notes especially after a long fast stretch or a collection of "one right, into one left, - line - into one left, one right, one right, and one left - line - 200 hairpin right" there is a good chance that there will be another call at 150 metres from the hairpin. This will be because of the speed they will be approaching the hairpin 250km/h +. After the 150 metres call there will be additional info about the hairpin - handbrake - drive it - early apex, nips, etc and then info on the stage post hairpin.
Some drivers will want to have the notes called two or three times for each corner. So, no, absolutely not should the co-drivers shut up, it's a team effort.
The problem in this video is that the co-driver gave a detailed explanation of the road ahead, then broke it down to "flat to square right". The driver for some reason I can't comprehend drove flat out and braked at the square right, when logic and physics say brake prior to the bloody corners - this isn't Tron for the love of Dog.
@@Bob-Jenkins Thats a lot of overthink, easy enough, flat, flat, flat, when should of been, ffs, brake, brake, square right!! rofl.
@Bob-Jenkins if my co-driver told me about the same bend several times, I'd never drive with them again.
Its simple ... tell me what's coming up, in plenty of time. If there is a need to say it again, say 'repeat' and what's coming up again, e.g. 'repeat 6 left'.
And NEVER would I want my co-driver to be saying flat, flat, flat as I was approaching a bend that was a 90 right!!! That codriver is an eejit!
Obviously inexperienced copilot. Funny accents
The instruction was clear, driver not listening. Pretty clear really. Norn Irish.
Excuse me my da was right
Both hadnt much of a clue 😀
What funny accents?
Up the boys tha fuck
That was so funny 😂😂
Lol
Bad notes and bad co-driver - this fella thinks he is a driver whereas he should be behaving like a calm and controlled co-driver. Telling the driver flat flat flat when he should be braking/setting the car up for the 90 right.
Salut my friend super car super video subscribe subscribe .
Flah to the matt...👉
and dont forget to turn right🤦♂️
what ever you think 😂😂 give me the time sheet 🤣🤣 Jesus that's wel damaged 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂ffs
Flat 100 sqr,, fu keep Goin....
The co driver described the road and the speed to the bend and described the bend too, its the drivers job then to get the car round the bend, dents were the drivers fault. Too much repeating and blabbering by the co driver, keep it succinct boys. Cold Tyres, 40 flat R 60 SQR . Or possibly simply 100 SQ R . Either could be correct or other styles too it would be the drivers choice, made during the Recee.
"FLAT, FLAT, FLAT!" As they're bearing down on what is, at that speed, a dead end. Both at fault here - ultimately it's the driver with the wheel in their hands.
The co-driver did say flat to the square right. That 1R was barely there.
That's not a politically correct name lol
Comedy gold
Fkn listen
Did he say square right or left lol.
Go forest
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Isn’t he meant to say slow, 90 right? Geez put me in the car instead🙄🙄
If Dumb and Dumber went rallying this comes to mind thanks Craig it is gas. Lol 😆 flat flat and the square right around the corner. Must of cost a few quid to fix that
Fuck ya just as his about to hit the bales.. fuck ya😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Flat to the square ⬛ right
Driver error
🫢 awkward 😂
That was a hairpin right lol
That's not a hairpin right it's a 90 degree right look it up.
@@ChrisJones555. Completely 90, dude was distracted and went all in.
@@hbtm2951 you can tell sure at the start when he ask is that just up here then just say grand he didn’t have a breeze what the co driver what saying to him the gobshite 😂
hairpin?? That means you end up back the way you came!!
Stooped driver
Drivers fault \ 40 1R. 60 sqR a blind man could get that
