5-6 years ago i tried them from Bangkok to Guangzhou, China. Problems started when we were seated. A man could not sit with his own wife and demanded a 3 seat row alone for her. Then another guy came in and he had ticket on the same row. They start fighting and the poor steward lady went between just to get pushed around. Then in air some guy demanded that the air plane should go lower so his cellphone could get signals. When the same steward lady asked him to sit down and switch of the phone, he hit her in the face. When we were 100 feet over ground people started packing and stood up. Opening compartment over head to get luggage out. I was seriously scared the hole time. It was dirty and i did not eat a thing in there. No security inside air plane only religious music loud. NEVER AGAIN!
I believe everything you said, the whole country is a mess, that's why I left that country 23 years ago with no interest to even visit

I already taken EGYPTAIR for a flight CDG-CAI with their new brand B737-800, the plane was pretty cleaned and comfortable. Now they have couple B787, A220 and 320 Neo, they renewed their fleet. You flew with an old 330, they will be replaced soon. I think EGYPTAIR is evolving in the good way, they deserve their place in Star Alliance. You should give them another chance. Try one of their new brand plane and give us your opinion.
They were supposed to be replaced by the B787-9
I'm glad Dan is flying all these airlines so that I don't have to fly them. Definitely Egypt Air is on my list of never to fly airlines.

Sensitive allergic passengers could get DIE of an anaphylactic shock with that mold on the windows, for example, and at a time when a pneumonia virus originating from an obscure fish market in central China turned up a case of the same disease in the U.S., exactly because of jet planes, not having hygienic practices and allowing all that filth on the plane is totally IRRESPONSIBLE. The age of the plane also has nothing to do with the way Daniel was treated by Egyptair ground staff or with the disgusting meals. And come on, Egyptair having comparable standards to REAL top-service Star Alliance airlines like Singapore Airlines, ANA or Turkish is VERY FAR from the truth.

I flew 2 months ago With Egyptair economy class from Brussels - Cairo - Brussels and for an economy class it was not too bad. I am not saying the best but service was friendly, food was ok and tha plane I flew looked cleaner and well maintained. So I had a better experience with them.

I’ve flown Egyptair long haul to CAI many times, usually on 777-300 with absolutely no complaints. There have been one or two problems I’ve had on their domestic flights, but not enough to put me off using them again which I will be doing in a couple of months time. That cabin was a disgrace! Great video.
How on earth do EgyptAir deserve to be a member of star alliance. The illustrious club airlines such as Singapore Airlines, Lufthansa and Air New Zealand are part of. Who do have a fantastic reputation.
actually, as of recently, the company is currently being overhauled with new aircrafts new staff new conduct new everything. see ever since 2011 time and the world haven't been nice to the company. but I remember a time when flying on EgyptAir was a true blessing.

Bruh i flew 9 hours overnight on economy class from Cairo to Johannesburg, I went to the toilet in the middle of the night. I tried opening the door and the whole thing came off, one steward walked passed and I was trying to signal to him what happened. He give me a glance and walked off. I went one round to another toilet. I swear the stench in the bathroom is worst than the overnight bus I took in Thailand.

I flew with them a lot. Ans flew with them recently and hat was a very good experience but the others were okay not the worst but not the best
Tjis review is not an attack, its just reality for this flight. I suspect flights within the arabian area are less cared for than those more prestigious international destinations were there more competition which can explain the difference in quality.

Better than my national airline, I flew a B777-300 with Air France from CDG-FDF, the cabin was old as fuck, couples seat destroyed, the toilet wasn’t cleaned, really for a prestigious company such as Air France I don’t understand. I really had better experience with EGYPTAIR

Personally, I think life is too short to do things you *know* are going to be terrible.
I'm gonna be a different kind of fan... if you could swing a trip on a private jet (like Global Express, or something bigger), then I would LOVE to see a video of that. I wish I could help you pay for such a ticket, but there's a reason I'm asking for someone else to show me a video of such a trip ;-)
I fly with Egyptair very often, which also explains my Star Alliance Gold Tier Level with the airline. I also flew with the entire fleet, all in business class. Therefore I see myself in the position to comment on your video. You are completely right. I also didn't always get an amenity kit or a menu, which has to be mandatory at the present time. The windows on older planes are in a disastrous condition. Maintenance seems to be a foreign word and your pictures speak for themselves about hygiene. But I have a recommendation for you. Fly once with the Dreamliner, here Egypair proves that they can do it.
I’ve found him really negative, Try them again on one of their main routes. I never had a problem with Egypt Air.
@@tamer3476 Unfortunatelly he is not the only one. But I can only repeat myself that I experience every time an amazing performance of service with the Dreamliner and also with the B777-300ER. I also can confirm that Egyptair is improving the performance a lot. Egypatair is by far better than its reputation.
@@GuidanceX exactly, the new fleet and the long haul flights are really good, maybe old aircrafts and short flights could be better but it’s not fair to judge the whole company because of this old aircraft. And yes it truly is better than its reputation
OMG I have never in my life seen a plane that dirty. I am crew for an american company and I admit that at times the condition of some of our aircraft leave a bit to be desired, but never ever have I seen the level of filth as this flight( a side note never have I questioned the safety often our most rundown looking airplane, because I know for a fact that our maintenance crews and mechanics are top notch!!). Sometimes the interiors do get neglected, especially on domestic flying in the US, as those planes don't stay in one place long enough to have a thorough and proper cleaning). However, never again will I equate a little bit of wear and tear with the filth you experienced on that Egypt Air airplane. I hope that this is only indicative of these older aircraft flying shorter routes, because I love Egypt and the people and I don't want their national airline to be so bad.
Anyway, I tried to hit like a few thousand times so we could get on to the next airline you refuse to fly, but darn, it only gave me one vote lol. I am sure you will receive 5 k likes soon. Can't wait to see the that trip report!!!

Yes I m totally agree with you. They are evolving in a good way, they have now new brand planes B787, A220, 320 neo. They renewed their fleet, the old plane are being replaced now. I flew with them couples times and I had a very good experience, planes was cleaned and comfortable, the crew are very welcoming and nice. Really I have nothing negative to say about them.

Whoa Dan, That has to be the most disturbing and disgusting cabin and lavatory that I have ever seen on a commercial airliner! I would have been afraid to eat or drink anything that was served to me. Thank you Dan for hightlight the safety issues on EgyptAir..I had have a terrible experience with EgyptAir. On our last trip from IAD to Beirut via Cairo. We were transfered, passengers, from the gate to plane via a very old bus. However, the bus driver neglected to lower the bus front for get off the results was I fall down and broke my foot needless to say that flight attended on my route to Beirut ; one of them did not want to assist, at all, just looked at my swollen foot and turned her face to the othersude, and the other one gave us Bag of ice and made it clear that it'd be the only one could be provide to us, as she didnot believe that I was in pain, ..My broken foot required a surgery & screw and took off my daily jogging for couple of months, lately the Dr recommended that I quit all my activities for another 3 months. No matter, how much I complaine to EgyptAir, I got no replay, I got to change my return ticket and the fee was paid out of my own pocket..on my way back to the USA I stopped by their desk and showed them the effects of their negligence service, I was on wheelchair, at this time..still no respond even a simple apologize . One more issue I noticed, their an awful treatment and abuse to airports dogs that assist the airport security staff in detected the smuggling drugs, I hope animals rights group would, soon,conduct an investigation regarding this terrible animal abuse.

It depends on what aircraft you flew on. The B77W and B789 of EgyptAir are obviously far more superior than the rusty old A330's, which also leads to better in-flight service by the cabin. But in all honesty, EgyptAir isn't the greatest of airlines and don't seeing them being any better than a 2 star airline

I flew with Egyptair for the first time two days ago and it was by far the worst airline I’ve experienced. Very poor hygiene standards, there was no running water for passengers to wash their hands in the toilets🤮 the service by the cabin crew was very poor as well. As well as many other things that were just wrong. NEVER again.

I always travel Egyptair business on their B777 and it definitely doesn’t look like that and it’s always been great in terms of the seat and the food plus they just redesigned their business class and it’s even better now. But as for the plane is the video, you’re a hero for going through that😂
Edit: I’m pretty sure that was the a330-200 because I’ve been on their b777-300 and their a330-300 and it was pretty good so sorry for that experience

This is just sad to see honestly. I flew with them on a roundtrip from Amsterdam to Cairo and had a great experience to be honest. I am genuinely curious if they think that what was shown in this video is an up to standards experience.

Hey, Egyptair is a really good Airline it's just the aircraft that is really old and the service on board any flights to the middle East is not good but of you try and fly with Egyptair to anywhere in Europe you will be amazed by how the airline actually improved the last couple of years.

A really good airline *offers (at the minimum) good food and drinks*
A really good airline would NEVER expect passengers to sit in seats that looked like these. Old aircraft is one thing - dilapidated, dirty, run down and extremely shabby is another.
Bottom line: Many really good airlines have old aircraft but their interiors are spotlessly clean and well kept. If these criteria are not met, then the airline is absolutely NOT a really good airline - not even a good airline. BTW - if this is an improvement I shudder to think what it was like before the improvement, because between you and me, it dont get much worse than this

That toilet has months of dirt on it, no excuse for that, you should send the footage to gthe CEO of Egypt Air, it might, it's a small might though, that shame them into hiring new cleaners (and firing the incompetent ones). Tbh with you, i used to fly AirArabia and their service, food, and seats are really good imo. Its not bad at all, only thing is that tgey dont have an entertainment system.
I'm so glad you mentioned that at the end Dan, because that is the first and last reason I've always avoided Egyptair. There have now been two crashes in less than 20 years (Flight 990 and Flight 804) and they have refused point blank to take any responsibility for either of them, despite it being pretty clear one was a pilot suicide and the other a in-flight fire (which looking at the state and maintenance of some of the wiring on your flight, isn't surprising)... An airline, backed by a government, that refuses to take any responsibility or investigate openly when something goes wrong, is not an airline I'm willing to fly!

Hey Dan great video I am sorry you were unlucky with airplane I fly EgyptAir quiet frequently and I will say that the best air crafts are the 777 and 787 as they are newer and way cleaner.

It’s not like this do your research, the new fleet and Dreamliners they have are amazing and cleaner than this. It has different modern business class seats and economy seats with inflight entertainment and amazing food. If you go look at the other recent reviews you’d realize that. Just cuz he chose the dirtiest oldest flight doesn’t mean it’s all like that and I have flew a lot with them, more than I can count, and the bad flights were rare and were mostly the small old aircraft with short flights. It’s definitely not a bad airline and I’d say it will only get better with all the money they’re investing. Let’s not generalize Egyptair because of one flight. It’s definitely better than it’s reputation.
9:10 the flight was coming from Paris, meaning that the safety standards in Paris were subpar.
I flew Egypt Air once in my life, and will never do it again. This was in the early 90s when I was in college, and to save airfare cost, I booked Egypt air (London-Cairo-Abu Dhabi -Muscat)
London Cairo sector was uneventful, but Cairo Muscat via Abu Dhabi was a different story.
In those days many airliners were still allowing smoking on board in smoking seats, my seat was many rows away from the smoking seats in the back, but it seems my fellow travelers didn’t get the memo, nor were the cabin crew, who seemed to be the least bothered to ask travelers to stop smoking.

Egyptair is a very weird airline it's great on some Aircraftes good at some and terrible at others like WTH egyptair????
Pretty much at par with the hygiene in the rest of the country. Been there several times and i am amazed at how dirty these people can be. One could call it generalizing, but if you travel frequently, you really notice the differences and it goes beyond one-off experiences.
These people?? Wow!

I flew recently with Egyptair for multi destination, six different flights. Actually I met beyond my expectations every moment was excellent . All i can say is Viva Egyptair...

OMG this is so disgusting - I couldn't eat, sleep, breath on that flight. And even going into the toilet was a brave decision, I certainly wouldn't be dropping my pants in there :D

For ur info, this is one of the oldest planes of Egypt air, the new ones are cleaner as the boeing 787Dreamliner and the airbus a220, plus the upgraded boeing 777s, the fleet will be even more upgraded and renewed
