Eddy gets killed only to be replaced with basically eddy

  • @reachova2times162

I strongly disagree with you. But this is your opinion so that’s ok but I’m gonna continue to in joy this manga I’m here for fights not so much as the story line.

Kengan Ashura made me go to the gym, try kickboxing, and start a CZcams channel. This year, I haven't posted a single video about Kengan Omega because besides Akoya getting his get back, nothing interesting has happened.

Kengan Ashura was literally the greatest Martial Arts Manga of all time, even better than the Maximun Tournament Arc of Baki or even better than Shamo or Garouden. Kengan was like a Love Letter for old fans like me, who grew watching Pride and Early-Post TUF, UFC, fans that also used to read and watch the OG Baki series, for me reading Kengan was like brining back those days, the Golden Era for Martial Arts in the West.

Ive been looking for folks talking about Omega, lets go. It sadly is so inferior to Ashura. But i will say, there are some cool moments.

  • @mihairomulus2488

it's peak and mid at the same time, quite a conundrum

  • @someolddude3827

While I do agree with you on omega, but I liked koga, his development in early omega was something that I liked, he wanted to be better then his father but I don’t think Sandro is interested in this anymore.

  • @jobbersupreme8720

Luohan is such a non character that you even forgot to mention him in the section about the villains, he's truly unfathomable

  • @flarps387

Whole point of those chapters lead us to the tournament arc because Kengan is a fighting manga, not a dark detective

  • @tenryunaito3763

To add to your points, my real key issue with Omega is how convoluted the plot can often be, and this is especially problematic when the series is more plot-driven as opposed to Ashura which was far more focused on character interactions and dynamics. While reading Omega is a decent way to kill time, I honestly would've preferred if the universe ended with Ashura. I don't feel like Omega's existence is still justified.

I think once Eddie died Kengans peak died. Ryuki and Koga as dual main characters was interesting and they both had very different upbringings and goals . When Ohma came back it kinda messed with Ashura’s ending and took a bit of spotlight from them but it wasn’t that bad. We had Koga trying to get stronger to be in the tournament and a real fighter. Ryuki dealing with the worm more . The Purgatory tournament had some good moments like Naidan vs Ryuki which were great but wasted so much potential. Nobody on the Kengan side was a worm and they all just kinda revealed themselves. Naidan’s death worked because it was for a mission and it was clear he was stronger than Ryuki and dangerous. Fei’s death tipped it over the edge because we already had 1 worm death and another loss. Also the whole lesson for Fei of overusing his power was literally same one Ohma learned. Then they did the same lesson with Edward.

Ive been unironically trying to catch up with Kengan Omega for years because of you. Yet I just can't, it just hasn't grabbed me quite like Kengan Asura did, of which I read all of it in like a month lol

  • @nicksol9721

I agree with 100% youre saying. Literally the ending of kengan ashura had Fei, Edward, and Xia being displayed like they are top tier villians. Then later to have no plot. 2/3 of them gets killed off in their first showcase (while Fei remains so fucking anonymously in a hood like he’s badass the entire story as the “TiGeR’s VeSsEl”) and Xia becomes a meme.

Kengan ashura is where it should’ve ended. There wasn’t any reason for it to keep going afterwards

  • @markthetopfabricator6047

My relationship with Omega is similar to Dragon Ball Super, where it does thing that reminds me why i love the series and got in to it, but then it does very questionable things that make go "what the hell are you doing ?" , but the thing is that Super has been actually really good for a while now ever since the Broly movie (except for the Granola Arc that was a mixed bag), so Omega has taken the spot of that series in where i have a up and down relationship with.

  • @iron2862

One of my biggest issues with Omega, particularly Omega since the end of Kengan vs Purgatory, is that none of the fights have the sauce that previous fights had. The intensity and the aura is completely lost. There aren’t big flashy moves and interesting complex techniques anymore all the fighters feel vaguely capable of the same 4 or so moves. I mean just think about how many of the last few fights have had that same headbutting the ground to escape an inescapable hold move. The choreography is so incredibly stilted. If you asked me to read a round 1 kat fight like idk Saw vs Karo and then read a fight like Tiger Niko vs Kiryu and asked me which fighters i thought were more impressive id answer Saw and Karo every time. The increase in power thats happened in omega only exists in theory, its never put into practice, and i feel like nothing demonstrates this more than the most recent chapter with Raian and Willem because this “flow of power” concept that Raian uses to defeat Willem was not only done way back in Ohma’s fight with Rihito, it was done 10 times more interesting. Every character in current kengan isn’t strong, they’re cardboard cutouts with the word strong written on them.

I'm early enough to say remember people someone else's opinion doesn't invalid yours only if you fail to convey your argument void of emotional attachment

  • @Chulp_75

But misc when is the last time you enjoyed Kengan Omega

  • @munagixero

I personally am a weirdo who likes subversive storytelling that doesn't follow cliches nor satire.

  • @GryphonsChannel

Is omega a sequel? I’ve never heard of it before
