- As much as I like this cute little build and the working twirly mechanism, I am not a fan of the new faceprint on Rapunzel. Weird. It's just weird.

I love this type of series because not only are they pretty, they also can be used as storage! I got the other Disney princess storage set for Christmas. I use it in my room everyday, it's pretty functional. 🙃

My kids have played loads with the rubbery hair, and it gets loose on rapunzel and pushes off really easy. Drove my kiddo crazy. Hoping this might be better actually. ❤️

Hi Ellie! I think the hard plastic hair is supposed to pop of at the back so that it’s easier to remove.

I watched some of your custom bulids and i think LEGO should hire you because you're sooooooooooo creative!
Rapunzel's eyes are really big, but indeed a little bit square. If they made her eyes more round (like in the movie) it would look better. I do like the top, but the color purple of the ballgown skirt is to blue in undertone and doesn't match up with the top.
The set is really cute!
I do love this build, I wish they would do more „technic“ builds, which are just not some sort of vehicle

I think that they changed it from Rubber to Plastic moulds so that people can place these hair pieces on Minifigures. that would explain why Nova's hair was coloured pink and used in a LEGO City set! it worked quite well. LEGO is taking a new hit on the LEGO World
Tbh I really like the rubber hair it feels better and looks more realistic in my opinion I don't really like plastic hair I think it's better on the Lego Minifigures than the minidolls

I think Rapunzel's new face is just adorable! It's just a shame her dress isn't more purple than blue :)
I think they modeled the face after the Tangled animated series…not a huge fan, but I don’t mind having variations of faces for the princesses.

New Lego Disney Princess line will all have faces like this for 2023, which is disappointing.

The spinny bit is really adorable. I wish there was some way to add a music box to it. But yeah what have they done to one of my favourite Disney Princess’ face 😣
What I don’t get is - particularly with the new 3D princesses (of which I *think* Rapunzel was the first): you have the license to use their ACTUAL FACE and could just wrap it around the 3D model. They’d look almost exactly like their movie counterparts. Seems like they’re redesigning the face for precisely no reason 🙃

The new face print looks like the duplo version of Rapunzel, just with freckles added.
I agree with your opinion about the face print, I think it's a little too cartoon-y and the eyes are too square and huge 🤔 and I as well didn't like her previous face. I don't think these new face prints really depict the Princess characters, I think they should be way more elegant. ~Wavey ;)
Rapunzel's new hairpiece is awesome! So much more detail and so much better in hard plastic! But i dislike her new face printing! Doesn't really look like Rapunzel now! (Had to mention this in my latest video too)
So i think the best Rapunzel could be made by using the new hairpiece but her old face printing, so that's how I've made my Rapunzel up now.
But i suppose the new face prints look more like anime? Could use them to make some anime characters maybe??
PS i bought this set for Rapunzel alone, i haven't even made the set up yet

I've found that the rubbery hair can be annoying because If you drop it and accidentally step on it then it's pretty much impossible to un-squish it. I had this issue with one of my mini dolls and my mom tried to melt it back but instead, it just burnt and I couldn't play with that mini-doll anymore because it was the only hair piece of that same shape and color that I owned
The key is supposed to be facing backwards. That’s why there’s a spot for her chameleon, because it’s the front!

Recently I have discovered an Australian toy store called toymate, their thing is that I believe they have different sales every week, they price match/smash to other stores prices and you can get an additional 5 percent off if you sign up with them, there’s plenty of locations around Australia and seriously is a slay
I think the change in hair might be because of the slide issue? Lego friends can’t really slide 🛝 with the rubbery hair, but not cost effective to only change the hair in the slide sets so they changed all the hair over? Just a thought.

Rubber can degrade over time sometimes. The first He-Man toys from the 80s occasionally had that issue with their legs about 30 years later. I wonder if that's why Lego has solidified the hair? Lego are already using paper bags on the free Lego builds that come with the UK Ninjago magazines but I haven't seen them in sets yet. Rapunzel and Liann need to have a play date for Pascal and Popcorn

I H A T E rubber hairpieces. they fall of too easily, and if they fit they have lifespan of a 1year and they become loose. I love the faceprint, both in new princesses and Friends.!
And you could have put the chameleon on the umbrella stick if you shoved the umbrella further down then shoved the pink piece on there and stuck the chameleon on.
Maybe the March sets will be paper bags!

They just yeeted her forehead. And btw, the fact that the hair pops off when you push the back of it is to make the pieces come of more easily. Some hair pieces are hard to take off the heads.
And my kid has one of those diamond skirt, Disney, princess Legos things in and she told me that the robbery one is too long, so it sticks out with the diamond skirt but the hard plastic one is shorter so it doesn’t stick out but I might pop off and that might be annoying but at least you know why

I think moving to the plastic hair is much better. The squishy hair was annoying and kept pulling heads off. The big space has more to do with mini doll heads Vs minifigure heads shape (I think). All hair being plastic makes them more interchangeable with both figure types
yes i'm really pleased with the change to hard plastic! Rapunzel's hairpiece is so much better now!

The other three came in a combined set that's discontinued now www.lego.com/en-au/product/aurora-merida-and-tiana-s-enchanted-creations-43203 You hopefully can still find it at some retail stores or on the secondary market, good luck! 🤞

It’s set 43203. I typed “ellieV lego 43203” in the CZcams search and it came up. It’s called “not just another Disney set- Aurora, Merida, and Tiana enchanted creations”. All 3 are in the same set. Hope that helps.
Being not super familiar with the prior Rapunzel face this one definitely looks....'prettier'? Like more of a makeup look and a more alert eye. I don't mind it but I can see how it's a noticable change. This set is seemingly simple but very cute! I hope they make a version for Belle and will try to track down the Tiana for sure.
