- Tour of my 1998 Coachmen Starflyte 210 FRB. Rare Class B-plus motorhome. 21 feet long. On a 1997 Ford E-350 cutaway chassis with the 5.4 V-8. Fiberglass rear body. Sleeps two. Early production model, as rear axle is not a dualie, but a single. Have only seen one other like this.. NOT FOR SALE.
Real nice, I love the way you slowed the camera to show the whole layout at the end. A lot of people just show close ups and it's hard to see the layout. Thanks for posting. Great job on explaining everything. Hope to see your next one when you buy it.
Thank you for sharing. It makes me want one more than ever, now! Very nice! This one is actually nicer than many of the newer similar class ones I saw at a recent RV show. It's good you got video of it for yourself since you are going to miss it. Have fun in your conversion van!
Thanks. Yes, I think that the Starflyte is a timeless RV that really doesn't look its age. Ahead of its time.
@@davewish6184 please can you share how much this sold for?
I just absolutely love this RV, it is perfect for my needs. I need a weekender to pull my SxS to ride different locations. This one is very cool, i'm jealous. I'll be looking for this one, Thanks for showing.
Thank you for the tour I've been thinking about buying one
i never seen one like this very clean
Very detailed explanations. Thank you sooo much. I just came across one I'd like to buy😊
This is one he;ll of a NICE rig! This is something I am looking for currently!
Nice video. Good review of the RV. Just bought a 2000 model Starflyte earlier this year.
That's great. I think that they are great RV's. Ahead of their time. Still look good today.
What kind of gas mileage do you get? (assuming you have the 5.4 engine?)
Yeah I picked up a Starflyte last year. It is a neat Rv and is a perfect couples Coach.
I just bought one and cant find the fresh water drain valve?? Where is it?
That is awesome, i would love to have one of those.
I have one and love it!!
Great information. Thanks.
Love the camper
Love it. I'm 5'3 so perfect for me
The layout with the L-shaped couch in the back that converts to a bed is a good layout too. It gives you more room that the one with the permanent bed in the rear like mine. They are the best layouts. Then there is a third layout that is not so good.
That’s a beauty
This is great!!
Since there are no rear dually tires, does that restrict weight-wise how much stuff you can take on trips?
Reminds me of the small Chinook... Very Cool...
Nice coach
I have the chance to buy a 2000 model. Been looking for something for hunting and fishing. Might be what I go with
Absolutely love it. Please let me know if you ever wanna sell it.
It's very old..but real nice.
hi dave. loved this video, very thorough and informative. when did you sell this unit? june of 2021? looking to purchase one just like it. might even be your old model, but i'm not sure of the timing.
I agree with you on the lack of "living area". My biggest pet peeve in any RV is when you sit down on the sofa and you're looking at the sink and cooktop... What the heck? I mean I know they have to put things where they fit but good Lord, any idiot can figure out how to revamp that floor plan. This little rig is pretty cute... Small, but very doable. I'm actually surprised at the amount of storage.
What kind of fuel mileage (mpg) did you get on the highway with this rig?
Very beautiful video. I went ahead and bought this model :). I was wondering if you could help me with the seat covers. From where did you buy them? What are the specs for the seat covers?
Very nice
Thanks
Nice i like to get me one some day.
How is the engine, transmission and suspension, brakes etc.?
Nice. Do you know what the interior height is or a 2001(-21 foot?) Thanks.
Oh my gosh, this is a piece of antique, worths no less USD250,000. to match how old she is, 25 years old. Bro o! A Granny of grandnnies. Don’t hesitate, go get it. Don’t even drive, just leave it in your back yard.
Would you be willing to scale it?
I'm 63 widowed and own a German Shepherd. So I need a unit that's reliable and doesn't need new engine etc? I'd like it to travel from Florida to see places.
Where is the fresh water drain valve on this??
SE Pa. accent. Thank you!
Is there anything under the bed? Could you increase storage in that area?
In the video he says that the water heater is under the bed and so the storage you see there is all you get.. no way to expand that spot any
what did U pay for it
Did it seem like it had plenty of power? Seems like a small engine for an RV.
Is it for sale 🤔
Can I ask what it sold for?
It sold for $19,000
HOW MANY MILES.Price..MPG
Dang not for sale.
How many miles on it?
It had about 68k when I sold it.
How much did you sell it for?
I sold it for $19,000
What kind of shape is the motor and transmission in in it can look nice with all the cabinets and stuff but if the dam thing has mechanical issues you'll be camping and taking a shower in your driveway lol
Engine in very good condition. Had 60k miles when I bought it. I had the engine checked over by mechanic. No issues. Just replaced fuel, air and oil filters. Oil change. New serpentine belt. I drove it from the east coast to New Mexico and back - 4000 miles. And I have driven it to Milwaukee and back. Very reliable. No issues.
this is not for sale?
I made the video right before I sold it
Hello! So I don’t know much about vehicles, but I have a family friend that’s willing to sell me an older starflyte for $150. The catch? He removed the engine. I was wondering if anyone knows about engines, and could tell me more about engines and what I could do to purchase a new engine and replace it if I choose to do so? Again, I don’t know much about vehicles, so I’m willing to put a bit of elbow grease if anyone can tell me an inexpensive alternative engine without sacrificing usage. I’ve lived in rvs, but I don’t know about mechanics and such. Thank you to anyone that can help 😁
Try a RR Merlin. Plenty of pep and good economy.
Jeeze, that rig NEEDS a lot of T.L.C interior and exterior
Jeez, what a disrespectful comment.
@@tbomber7716 jeeze, you have delicate sensibilities, toughen up soldier
Thank you. I am a veteran. I just don't find it necessary to be disrespectful. But to each his own
Have a blessed day.
@@tbomber7716 how am I disrespectful by saying this class B van needs a lot of work both outside and inside? I'm truly curious, because if you're offended by a statement as benign as this, how did you manage being in the military(thank you for your service if you're an American)
Wudder lol
Yup, I know. "Wudder" or "Wooder". That's the Delaware regional dialect/pronunciation.
vent overload....
People are screwy
Apprend à filmer
D'un camping-car très sympa tu l'as rendu mohe . Tu ne sais pas filmer
Who gives a shit about a sky light what's the exhaust and converter look like .
Hey Dave. Great tour. I have a chance to buy one and am wondering the height and width. Could you supply me with that info? Thanks
I can't remember the height and width. But I think if you search you will eventually find it. But I believe that it was about 9'8" tall at the A/C unit and about 7' wide. I'll see if I can find it and edit my answer if it's different.
Would you be willing to scale it?
Sale it
Can I ask what it sold for?
Sold for $19,000
