I see Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow everywhere but I had no idea what it was about; hearing you talk about it I moved it immediately to my TBR 🙃
just finished reading david copperfield this morning and it has made me so excited to read the rest of dickens work! i haven't read a book that warmed me so much on the inside as this one did in a long time, and now i'm looking forward to reading little dorrit 💌
I loved Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow! I did not expect to be so enamoured by the gaming industry and I loved the way Zevin used gaming as a way to explore intimacy, relationships and life. I agree that there were certain plot choices that seemed a bit unnecessary in the latter part of the book, but still such an easy and enjoyable read with characters that felt so real and fleshed out!
I read A Thousand Acres back in 2019 after you featured it and I remember absolutely loving it. I read so many of your favorites that year, including NK Jemison’s works.
Jess, I used to watch your channel nearly ten years ago and I just stumbled across your channel again. My mind has just been completely blown because I'd completely forgotten that I used to love your book videos before I even knew that booktube was a thing. Crazy! I enjoyed The Sellout when I read it btw. I totally agree though about the prose doing your head in, it was a lot. All the best to you in the new year! ❤
i absolutely adore these videos! watching you talk about books has motivated me to get reading again after a slump. looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the deptford trilogy. i've only read fifth business, which left a big impression on me. and a shakespeare a month sounds like such a fun idea. i also enjoyed reading shakespeare for school - hamlet was one of my favourites!
Could you take us through a room by room chatty video with inset pics of what you’re planning for each room in the house? Paint colors, fixtures and furnishings inspo, mood board pics. Pretty please? Let’s get excited about this house!
Hello jess, I have an idea. Could you read one of your fav children's books in an asmry fashion? Your voice so is asmry and tingly. That would be awesome.
Not sure if you’re reading to your daughter yet, But would love to see what you’re reading to her as a cute little add on to these videos. Just an idea.hope you all had a good Xmas and new year.
We actually had Shakespeare's _King Lear_ in our English (Major) syllabus. I read, studied, scrutinised, analysed and revised the play for the exams but, on account of some unfathomable reason, have forgotten everything now. But, I do remember that Lear's daughter Cordelia dies in the play's conclusion. This is one of the saddest deaths in all of world literature. Dr. Samuel Johnson (1709-1784) was deeply moved by Cordelia's death. I've always harbored the desire to read Dickens' _Little Dorrit_ but its size has always prevented me picking up this behemoth. Anyway, thanks for these recommendations.
Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow was my favourite book of the year! Have you read any Mary Lawson? Really easy quiet books, I read 2 last year and enjoyed them immensely☺️

Jess you’ve inspired me to try and read a book a week this year- just to make reading a bit looser and quicker and get a bit ‘more of a varied diet’ 😊

It would be cool if you read a retelling along with the Shakespeare you read every month.
Happy and lucky new year Jess!! 🥰
