    People remove them because they spin 3-1 to the crank. Meaing when you build the engine and rev it to 8k thise shafts spin at 24k rpm and will kill the balance shaft bearings and the rest of the lower end with them. Also at that rpm its common for it to throw the belt off killing the timing belt with it also killing the whole engine. A stock engine that isnt being raced its fine to run them. On a engine that sees high rpm a lot its best to remove them and use a oem stub shaft. Good video though on setting the belt.

    Why would a balance an oil pump shaft tight to turn ? Neither belts are on just the front case

    mine seized and destroyed the timing belt at 5000rpm...

    Can you confirm the torque spec on that pulley bolt? I thought I heard 40 ft/lb but the subtitle says 14. TYVM
