Some of us almost 60 I’m sure.
The first Avengers was a small team too so this is actually dope to me. Gives them time to give the characters more focus and build that team dynamic.
I am on in with those 5 members. I think that team start really strong. Carol being the strongest and more powerful takes the place of Thor and Hulk as heavy hitter. Cap is Cap. Shang chi another good heavy hitter more in line with Iron man in power level.
Spiderman and Shuri are perfect additions.
I cqnt wait for the movie to come out.

I think the lack of lead up is a good thing.
In Avengers, the whole team met each other and faced Loki and the Chitauri threat.
In Avengers 5, it would be great to see Spider-Man meet Shuri, Shang Chi to meet Sam Wilson Cap, Captain Marvel to butt heads with Sam and face a threat like Kang they individually would be woefully unprepared to fight but team together to beat him/his Variants.
It would be great to throw maybe Moon Knight or Wasp in the mix too to even out the teams into a six person team like the first Avengers movie though.
They’ve definitely made mistakes by not letting some of these characters interact

I mean, it really all boils down to the fact that they need to keep Woke Directors far away from these projects.
As far as DC goes, they should have let Snyder do his thing from the very beginning but WB has to mess with everything their directors do so if it comes out bad then it looks bad on the director but MoS,BvS Ultimate Edition, ZS JL,WW, Aquaman was great... even the first Shazam was decent. Black Adam was good but it didn't get released everywhere like most other films. It wasn't just Snyder that had their projects changed by WB. Nolan in the DCEU (Not the Dark Knight). Bringing Snyder,Nolan, Affleck,Jim Lee,and ECT back to helm the DC projects is crucial to the future of WB Discovery and DC Films.

They definitely need to do something more with Shang Chi, one movie barely introduced him, and he didn't even get the rings until the end.
Hopefully the mcu creators keep their words and make Shang chi as powerful as Hulk or Thor.

My personal roster for the team is Captain America(Sam Wilson), War Machine, White Vision, Ant-Man, Wasp, Shang-Chi, Spider-Man, Hercules, Wonder Man, Captain Marvel, and Black Panther.
I’d really like Wanda back as well. The Scarlet Witch has been an Avenger in the comics for sixty years. They need to get her story from DS:MoM course corrected and have her back in action asap. My fear is that if they wait too long Elizabeth Olsen won’t want to return and that would be just terrible, imo.

I like the main team they come up where the least developed character in the group is Shang-Chi. I see them working into the team from a more cameo style in the 6th movie... War Machine, Thor, Vision, Dr. Strange and Ant-Man and then make the big show-up in the 7th movie when the gang gets back together like End Game. They can then use the 6th movie to deep dive into Hercules and Wonder Man if Disney + hasn't given them a back story yet. But I like your team !!

Thor, Hercules, Namur have all been Avengers, and sometimes, more times than not have been on the same roster at the same time. And Namor could also show up on the X-Men roster in the MCU since he's been a longstanding X-Man

eh, I can see why they'd go with this team as a cut down leaner team to just get the movie and universe set up for Secret Invasion and all that.
It's not a team that i'd particularly like, but I think it's mostly just THERE to get the job done and get them where they need to go. Not sure what their chemistry will be like. But hopefully it's a watchable and enjoyable movie. and they figure out the chemistry for this cast.

Ngl, I struggle to picture characters like Black Panther, Captain Marvel & Doctor Strange being part of the main Avengers tbh.
I'd expect them to all be present during a large event like Infinity War, Endgame & Secret Wars, but I can't imagine them being part of a smaller team/ roster - they all feel too independent imo, w/ them each having their own domain to take care of (i.e. Wakanda, Space & Mystic Arts).
Woah I understand the disapproval per say or your opinion but consider doing hw on Dr strange and comics associated, some great stuff and back story that I wish they dive into but It would blow your mind

agreed, outside spiderman this is like a wish version of the avengers.
This reminds me of the early issues of the Avengers in the teens and 20’s where Thor Iron Man and Hulk weren’t on the team, it was Cap Hawkeye Wasp and Giant Man which was a weak team. This lineup is barely a skeleton team of the Avengers.

With characters having not interacted before, I would hope they show them meeting IN-movie, and not some dialogue about meeting off screen before the events of the movie starting.
I’m thinking they would have to be dealing with tracking down The Vision while handling some goons from The Kingpin and Xialing. Little more street level stuff as they try to locate where Strange is with the help from Vision?

Shuri should bring along Prince Namor. That would be nice while also adding a new dynamic to things. Also, he was on several Avengers teams in the comics.
Never realized that so many of these characters haven't actually had much, if any, interaction with each other. I wonder if the next Avengers movie would be first contact for them, or if they will get some interaction prior to that, we'll see!

The Spell doesn't cancel out ANY interaction with Spider-Man. Everyone that met Spider-Man will remember. Falcon fought him,Captain Marvel met him everyone knew he was on the battlefield. He had the infinity Gauntlet at one time then handed it off to Capt. Marvel. The only one that would be a stranger is Shang Chi(to Spidey and CaptainAmerica). Spider-Man is an Avenger BUT no access to Stark tech,Peter Parker had that access.
I think the only thing that makes scenes is treating Avengers 5 like the first. Where it's a coming together. At that time those characters had little to no interaction either
