Keep scrapping & Have fun! - Jak na to + styl
this guy is living my dream. literally. i really hope i can do something like this when im older.
Same here man. I'm 17 so hopefully I'll be doing that sort of stuff when I'm 23.
I am also passionate about electronics
imagine us all starting this kind of private business together when were older lol that would be funny
I feel happy just seeing the amount of tech in this video
@@hoquangngoc1990hb.
Hurts my soul seeing so many pc parts being recycled like that ;-;
Kinda.. even if most of it is obsolete
I want a pc case from my childhood with modern parts in it, even ridiculously old cases are stupidly expensive. I hope some are resold and not all scrapped as they're getting harder to come by!
A lot of times, PC's aren't in that bad of disrepair. Eventually, people's PCs will either slow down or not start, and instead of trying to fix them they just throw them out. Sometimes, it can be as simple as replacing an hdd for a $20 SSD. I wish more people were aware about PC charities, so that way more people who were less fortunate could actually own one, even if it isn't the latest and greatest
Do you not get the meaning of recycled?
@@jackjack0145 recycled is a loose term with e-waste, precious metals are stripped and the rest of the bulk of the material end up in landfills as its too costworthy to even process them
this is unbelievable! youre a 1 man e-waste processing factory ben! congrats on so many things and so much work! enjoy it.
"keep scrapping, have fun"
A busy week for sure my friend. The life of us smaller scrap/recyclers is a never ending mix of buying, selling and processing. Good thing we love this work 🤣
They say if you love the work you do, you'll never work a day in your life. I guess I love never having a day off 😂
brother please give me a PC of that please brother I am from the Dominican Republic and I do not have the resources to buy it
@@locoamarante6746 he would go broke trying to ship them off to people like your self. While I am sure it feels very unfair when you see countries that are much better off throw out stuff like this.. Here in the USA we have places that resell and practically give away these older computers to people who are unable to afford a new computer. Try for the green card lottery but things are not like in the movies, people work hard here and multiple jobs to get ahead.
I really wish I had this job/business. I don't think I'd ever get board of that neither.
man thats such passion, form e who just back 20202 covid got to realize how reliable 2nd hand parts are specifically case, mobo, cpu, and ram
This was a great look into your week it's amazing how much stuff you get thanks for sharing this with us six stars brother
I do enjoy this type of video. Thanks Ben. Hope to see more.
Love this style video!!!! So cool to see your progress through the week. Well done!!!
Yes please, a week of Ben and his girls is fun watching. You DO have a lot of stuff in that garage. So sometimes you can make more of this :)
enjoyed that, Ben, its nice listening to you describing things for us, in case we come across them in our travels.
Some vintage PC parts are worth a mint to collectors. Even non-vintage parts from 10 years ago still demand a air amount of $$.
При условии что рабочии,
Нерабочие на металлолом
in every video people try to tell this. he enjoys hard work and scrapping.. you can't teach an old dog new tricks
@@PyhisPahisWorking vintage parts (GPU, MOBO, CPU, RAM) are worth many many times what their weight is in scrap. At the very least he could get connected with a reseller.
@@_XPEH_BAM_even non working ones can be worth a lot in certain cases.
He's a scrapper, get it all scrapped and job done. When you start selling stuff you end up wasting so much space that would be better used just doing this instead
Love theese long videos. Keep scraping! ❤
Great video Ben! Interesting view into a week of your life. Thanks a stack.
Enjoyed that Ben, thanks. Always enjoy the scrap drop offs, and seeing the progress going through the week.
Look after yourself mate
Just wow! So nice stuff there! So much electronics, motherboards! Lot of job to move, sell, recycle, but its very interesting! Keep on!
Thanks for sharing your busy schedule, take a big break, you deserve it, trust me 🙏👍👍👍
If I lived near you I'd love to spend a week shadowing you. Learning and scrapping! Very interesting. Great vid.
❤Wowwwwww❤
What an amazing scrap shop
Hope you are enjoying with that🎉🎉
As usual, good to see you in action, no matter what style. Happy Ben!😂😂
I enjoy the videos. Keep them coming.
Love how every video is just ben saying hes going to finally clean out the garage and see what he has buried
You have really nice PCBs there. I love to see various designs, especially the old ones.
I honestly watched the whole video, nice job! Please do more :)
This was an enjoyable sort of video. Even though it seems overwhelming to have so much around, it is probably a good back up for when things go quiet.
Have a scrapalicious week Ben!
Love it! I do not know how You are able to do it. Great work!
Great video, Ben!! Thumbs up!
Great Video Ben Keep Bringing The Video's Dude God Bless You And Your Family 🙏🙏👍👍
Fair play business is booming learning so much off you really glad your doing well you really do get some stuff all the best
just sorting all that stuff out is a full time job! i'm tired just watching!
Great video, miss the yard runs. Keep it up sir.
Very enjoyable video, thank you very much, i loved it
Ben I really like these videos. A day a week hell even a month in the life lol
Greetings from Russia! Good job, Ben! When I saw a whole container of power supplies, my soul began to sing. I myself repair power supplies and reuse them to power various low-current systems: video surveillance, access control systems (ACS), door phones, smart home, warning and evacuation control systems. Like for your contribution to the environment!
Ben espectacular video!!! Saludos de Uruguay
Great video Ben.
Good to see you are busy and getting a bit of money 💰 in
Must say l love the street scrapping like seeing what you find.
Thank you for your service. I was happy to have found a Rage II PCI on ebay. Works great for vintage games.
Excellent video Ben....do it again!!
really enjoyed this type of video
Good job, recycling and saving the world
you do a great job ben you work your ass of doing your job thanks for the video
maaaan i love doing these cuz there is so much stuff to be found thats still working...just needs a good touch
man this is absolute heaven
Me encanta ver montones de aparatos electronicos 😊🎉
Keep up these good vidoes Ben i love this video and i love watching you do all this work too 😂hard worker of a man and you tough me alot about ewaste and how to separate my ewaste i appreciate it you helped me go from making $300 a month to making 2500$ in a month
You have a lot of gold 🤩💛
Happy to see someone who actually knows his way around computers! Hope your day goes well!
When i saw that little pc I was willing to bet money it was an i7 2600 in there :D
This guy is literally living the DREAM!
I like this new video series
You have a wonderland there..
Came up with an idea : Ben takes a week off for a well-earned holiday and one,two dozens of subscribers rip through the garage and surroundings.I have dibs on cutting cords and processing dvd players etc for mid grade boards and de-populating low grade boards :) Also dibs on scrap yard runs :)
Heading through Melbourne airport after the week to get back home I can picture the following as I hand me passport to Customs:
"And did you enjoy your stay in Melbourne, sir?"
"Oh yeah, mate I've been flat out. Can barely move me fingers anymore and me back is shot, lol"
"Seems like you had a wonderful time." wink wink as he motions me forward and off I go :)
I like this format ben 🙂
Tell me bro
Tell me bro
I like whatever you do Ben...mixing it up is always interesting...
nice view on what you do thank you
Great video.
Loved it.
The pigeon in the back😂😂😂😂 4:03
Very nice i like this work
i love it! you should do a few other videos like this
NICE JOB MAN!
Really this man living in a dream world which I dream of every day.
this is a gold mine
Love that Cisco material
Yes definitely make another video next week!
Hello Ben.
That packing material, I take it to recycle centre, you call it transfer station.
It's run by the council and it's free to drop off, you can drop just about anything there.
That packing material would go in the bin for "incineration" or energy recycling,, now that's a novel term.
It goes to like a powerplant to get burned to generate hot water ,both for washing yourself and heat your house.. Good thing about it is that your hotwater never runs out, If I want Ican leave the hotwater on all day, but I dont, and it just keeps comming.
That first cube PC you showed is a Fractal Node 804, usually used for custom built NAS. Really nice case, looks like a mini fridge and they stack nicely.
The PC itself though, probably a 4th gen i3 or worse in it.
there is a lot of valuable, in my country it could be sold dearly. I also like the fractal design cases, they are high-quality and thoughtful
still got seller my country for 150usd lol
what 4th gen i3 has a m.2 slot? Guess that one.. asus H97
vare naes
All the Fractal cases he showed are still worth some money. Hopefully he knows this and was able to find a buyer.
Hi Ben! This is 2:04 pc case from Fractal Design Define series, same as mine. All coolers work fine from 2016, you can resell them with no doubt.
Im using the Define R6 aswell. Lovely case it is. Its had 2 builds in it.
Great video Ben! I know you try to Maximize your scrap wire, but you HAVE sooo much, consider selling a bin with plugs and rest your body! You will get more wire!
Labor of love i guess 😅
Im not at the level you are but am always saying the same thing "theres not enough hours in the day"
Stay strong & keep on keeping on
i thought i have a lot of stuff.. then you walk into your backyard XD Great video :)
love those things ,
__
It would be paradise for me too. If we want to build something here(Poland), we even have to buy old equipment for a lot of money. They even try to sell broken old equipment on Allegro.
Chce mieć taki kosz koło domu
The foam packing can be used as insulation. I used it and the white foam insulation to insulate my garage attic and a small house I own in the country. Break up the foam so it lays flat and when you have enough 24" thick I bought cellulose insulation (treated paper) and covered the foam with it. If it was just cellulose it would be a R84 rating. Of course you have to do all the other things when insulating a attic. I believed I saved 60-70% on my insulation costs.
Good job, good vídeo.
In my country, some PCs that you call "Old School", they sell in second hand shops by a lot of money....
You’re partner must love you, with the state of the garden 😆
I used to watch you from NZ. Back in Sydney now after a few years away.
my palms are sweating. i managed to quit hoarding like an alcoholic.
I look at your video and I`m like ... No NO nO no 😂
@7:50 this one also looks like it could've fit either purpose of ultra-low budget gaming PC (without a graphics card) or NAS since it has 6 drive bays, but since you said it was used for a business, they probably either got it on clearance or needed something quick & cheap like it for simple video editing. The motherboard is from 2017 and it's not the "gaming" model (Gigabyte GA-AX370M-DS3H) Looks like the cube style cases run $50-150 alone.
love how ur real with the scraping and lessen the weight before u go hulk status unlike most scrappers i see trying to lift 200+ lbs and hurt themselves
sending loves, i appreciete how passionate people are in e-waste, got mine build from back shortages during covid. and safe to say, theyre still reliable notably cpu, mobo, ram, and case.
Il mio paradiso!!
Di sicuro recupererei tanti apparecchi e lo rimetterei in vita
That "big box" you looked at is a Fractal Design Node 804 which can set you back over $100 USD easy. And since they are not made anymore, that price will go up since it is a mATX case that is designed for 8x 3.5" hard drives.
G'day Ben!
Just about to get full English breakfast for brunch here in the UK and a vid from you pops up, perfect timing!
Then lots of eBay listing to do for salvaged items from eWaste! Scrap on dude!
Those vintage boards are super cool.
even when he just cut off the connectors just to get a littlebit of gold?
@@groenevinger3893 would earn more by selling them untouched to retro computerists, but alas
Pretty sure that white foam stuff is recyclable buddy. You sure have a big job ahead of ya lol.
wow ya'll scrap yards are crazy clean. no pot holes everywhere?!?!? never seen such a yard
I live in Canada don't they don't accept nothing other than easy pickings and pure gold very hard to survive out here as a scrapper😢
It's all about quick turnaround
For a one-man-band, you sure process tons of eWaste! Wash, rinse, repeat. Or rather, scrap, sell, repeat.
love it
39:33, Ben those heat spreaders part in the middle of the RAM heatsink is Tinned Copper
This is heaven for me
39:20 those shields as you call them, are heatsinks. They should be left on, as they also have the labels for the RAM on them to identify the RAM. The gluey rubbery stuff is thermal paste.
He unfortunately scraps the ram
You can also hit a hard drive with a hammer and most of the time it shatters the platters inside
Excelente 😮
I like this
this is heaven to me
Few of those desktop PC's could still be useful perhaps to younger kids to do home work OR play basic minecraft. Also could be useful to older people who wants a PC just to browse the internet or post on social media sites.
Or turn it into a NAS machine if someone is looking for a budget backup setup
nope. even if you want to distribute usable pcs (out of a company, without a harddrive/windows preinstalled) schools and most families would comment something along the line of NO KEEP YOUR TRASH. been there.
I need to visit you someday for all of those electronics!! Hahahaha
This man's videos are what would happen if I snuck a camera into my dreams.
