I know this probably won't happen but I would love to see you keep a Land Rover for 5 plus years to see how bad the reliability really is. Plus the maintenance costs.

Nice choice, for the year or two you keep it, it should be just fine. The Defender is way bigger in real life than in pictures/video, that’s one thing I notice every time I see one.

Coming out of an ancient, crudge 4Runner this should be a revelation. The things you're describing are why people buy luxury vehicles. It can't always be quantified on paper.

I like the biggest version of the land rover defender
What a great SUV, rugged and luxurious like Grand Cherokee Trailhawk, but even moreso in some ways like the refrigerated compartment. More rugged than the Outlander, for sure.
Little Moab, yes, then go to Big Moab -- the Easter Jeep Safari and maybe you can do more videos with other cool vehicles there at EJS this year.

Hi Ben. Did you know that the Police have stopped using BMW because they are catching fire.So what they are doing is sending them to Auction but they are drilling the engine and selling them as non runners.

4Runners are extremely boring. Enjoy that Defender. They are great. So great we have 2 in our household. Super recommend some Duratracs on that 110. Again, enjoy it! Love ours.

my parents have a 2023 defender 130 but it didnt come with that box with the car keys and a key ring for some reason....

Hi Ben everyone I have spoken to likes the Defender and it is not as getting stolen like the Range Rovers which is the 2 most stolen car in UK. As for the BMWs catching fire with the UK Police they are trying to keep it out of the news.

As I remember the guy on the Your Auto Advocate channel referred to Land Rover as "expensive poo" lol. But it is a beautiful vehicle. Hope he has good luck with it.
Congrats on the new car. Looks great! In some of your other videos you've been saying not to buy a new car now if possible given that they're all still overpriced. Given that why did you take the plunge?
Because you never hold on to a vehicle for more than a year, this isn't a terrible vehicle for you. If you held on to it for more than a year, you would get to see the beautiful English vehicle experience. In the bright side, they get free parking in the repair lot.
I fully expect a new section in reviews called "does a car seat fit in this muscle car with back seat delete".

Long time Cruiser/Toyota guy, but I did a stint with a 5 speed Discovery overland rig back in the day and it was great. More enjoyable and better riding than my Land Cruisers. Thinking about getting a 4 Runner for the wife’s daily and a secondary backcountry rig as I agree, I think the current 4Runner is the best built, most long lasting thing available….. BUT, the base 110 in the coil spring suspension is pretty tempting. You think the second row can fit three kids comfortably? Curious if the ride quality of the coil spring version, I have an aversion to LR air suspension. Is there a reliability difference between the 4 and 6? I must have missed that.

The 4runner isn't the most reliable vehicle you can buy. It's not even the most reliable Toyota SUV. But it's well built and very capable.

i would be getting rid of one of the vehicles...too much of a pain parking and trying to get in and out of the vehicles in the garage...just sayin....vehicles are too close for error....would drive me crazy..lol....cheers from Canada

How’s that Land Rover Defender holding up now? 😂 I bet it went to a shop at least once’s already for few issues and it has probably less then 1000 miles. Everyone I know and every defender that I seen being sold from my Land Rover dealership went back to the shop within 2-3 weeks of us selling them. Especially P400 models with inline 6cyl also they all get major electrical and digital clutches constantly and you can’t fix it permanently only temporary and it comes back again. Good luck with it Ben soon enough you will be kicking yourself in the head for selling your extremely reliable 4Runner TRD Pro and getting this piece of crap. And you will definitely regret getting it when you will get tired of it and believe me you will extremely soon you will also cry once you get your trade value on it.
