i want mod cars to spawn like normal cars but they dont

I am having an issue dragging and dropping the mod folder into Win SCP. It keeps saying the file or folder does not exist. It was hidden at first but is now sitting directly in my Dayz folder like the video.
@13:20 when your talking about having those files pop up in the winscp that should be the same in the other files, what if its not? do you just leave it be?
Hello im new to modding dayz servers on pc im trying to follow along with the vid and when i got to up load the mod to my server it says that the drive cannot be found any idea why? thanks.
when i try to drag my mods from the workshop, it says the drive does not exist which make no sense please help
like I get it all but why do I not have all the files you have on you fnp thing cf and all that stuff did not have key folder either, dont have mpmisson like what am I supose to do
Alright I really have no idea what I'm doing wrong. The only thing that seems to have changed is that Steam saves things by their mod ID number now but I followed these instructions to a T and I still can't get my server to run with the mods I want. It's just stuck in the booting up phase.
i have followed all the steps in the video, addin in the land rover mod exactly how you did it but when i go to join my server it says there are no mods for the server?
EDIT: Im a bit stuipid and put - instead of ; in the mod list 🤦♂️

So far tonight I’m 3/3 and running. Right now installed and working I have CF, Dabs Framework and expansion license. I’m now installing the Expansion bundle.
@@_umpx_ cool. Expansion can be a bit temperamental. Make sure to use their installation guide you can find with an easy Google
awesome walk through , is it only the xlm type files that need to be inputted? non of my mods seam to be working.
Which mods are they? I suggest trying them one at a time
so the land rover vehicle mod is only for the Chernarus map i take it? the .xml file with those co-ordinates wont work with Livonia?
You can use it on any map as long as you get your own coordinates. You can grab them from izurvive map or use something like Community Online Tools to get the coordinates in-game.
But yet, the coordinates in the xml for that mod won't work on other maps.

You need to add the mod to the nitrado website (so @ModName). Apart from that then it will depend on which mod it is. Most of them that don't come with xml files won't need anything else doing.

@@FearTheUnnKnown what were you hoping to do with with CF mod? I find find works well with Community Online Tools.
@@hepskie I honestly don't know lol, this is my first time using PC mods on my own server. I've read the CF mod is mainly for admins. So I'm guessing I should download community tools as well with it?
@@FearTheUnnKnown you won't notice any difference if you install CF unless you use with with another mod like COT. If you follow the installation instructions on the steam workshop page for COT then you should be fine with it. It has lots of handy tools in-game.

When it comes to the launcher, it can take a long time to show up. Be sure you've got the filters correct etc.
Which mods have you installed?
If its more than one then try doing one at a time first.
Also...an obvious one but it catches people out. Make sure you restart the server!

alot of mods talk about adding files to "profiles" folders, do you have any explanation on what to do on that?
For nitrado servers the profiles folder is the one named 'config'.
For home servers its whatever you set it to in the .bat server configuration file...think the default is Profiles or similar.
I'm having a issues of find the workshop file. I have all the files besides that one. I'm also having issue with finding where the mobs are stored. I've followed everything you said to do but I'm not seeing any mods saved to my pc

This is all you need to do to find the workshop file.
If your steam folders are in another location or on another hard drive then that's where they will be. When you go to install a game from steam it let's you select where you install it. Wherever you installed DayZ will be where your !Workshop folder is.

If I enable serverDZ.cfg File do I still have to write the mods in that line on nitrado web interface?
If you need to add the mod to the nitrado web interface you will have access to it. If you don't need to add it then the text box won't be available.
My iworkshop wont show up idk what to do
So I went through this video section by section and did exactly as shown/said for each mod, started with a few basic ones to learn...
I have every thing exactly as shown, but the server will not recognize anything at all. Mods even show in game files on Nitrado, but when I find my server in the launcher just shows no mods.
Try just starting with one. It makes things more difficult doing several at once for the first time.
when copying the keys over do you need to do the add onn's also when useing a different mod? if any one can help me pleaseeee did everything he did with the exact mod he used its not croupt i just cant get it to appear as if my server has any mods its brand-new just the land rover for example
You will need a framework mod for that to work. If you look on the steam page for the mod you will see it requires @CF to work.
For the keys you need to put in each one for each different mod. If it's the same key as a previous mod you have already installed then there's no need.
So just a quick question does this work for console servers as well like can I do all this for a nitrado server for xbox?

It is possible to edit changes to the loot economy via xml files in the server with xbox servers but you cannot add new mods...so new guns and vehicles aren't really an option (that I know of). ScalespeedGaming has a video on this explaining exactly what is possible. Here's the link:

I have not been adding all of my new mods to the end of the additional mods section, just adding them between any of them really. Does the order of the mods inside of that space matter?
Depends on the mod. Most don't matter. Traders you want to load after everything else so you can include mod items in them...same with admin tools like 'Community online tools'.
Im my general settings i dont have that option to enable expert mode where do i find it or what so i need to do to get it ?
Is this for a pc server or for a games console? Not sure if games consoles get that option.

No idea what to do. I follow step by step yet it locks my server and I can’t get back in? It’s done this twice now trying to follow this guide.
Clearly you didn't follow it step by step in that case. Everyone else that has had this problem made a mistake somewhere along the line. Go back through it step by step slowly and carefully. start by installing one mod, not several and make sure that works. Make sure the mod you're installing isn't dependent on another mod. Most mods need either CF or DabZ Framework to work.
If you're confident you've done it right then the only thing to do is contact nitrado support.
Is this only for pc? If I do this, will my friends be able to join the server from ps5 with the mods installed?

So I added winter cherno v2, can i still use the chernarusplus mpmissions folder to input xml stuff?
That depends on if winter cherno had a different map file in mpmissions. If your server is still using the chernarusplus map then yes it should be fine.

What if there are no xmls files or whatever to copy over? For example I tried to do this with vppadmin tools and now my server won’t start. Any help would be great!
This mod depends on another mod called CF (community framework) to work so make sure you have that installed as well. It doesn't have any XML files that need editing so it doesn't have a folder.

So I am starting a modded server from scratch and I have done all of this, but my server still does not have any mods
The most likely thing is you haven't done the keys correctly...but without more info I can't really help much further.
Go through the steps again slowly and watch carefully.
If you do it all as the video shows then it will work, just like it has for all these other people.
Is there a particular way you have to paste the .xml files in? Me and my friend tried to do as you showed in the video but the text we pasted wasn’t alligned exactly the same as the .xml files already in there...
As long as the text is there and it is on a new line then it shouldn't need to be the same spacing. Find me on discord if it doesn't work and I'll attempt to help. Link in the description.

love your video, dont think i can find a better explanation out there, just one quick question... when it comes to restarting your server for the mod which you just uploaded and installed, do you have to restart for each individual mod or can i just wait to restart it after i install the rest of my mods?
You can do all at once if you know what you're doing...but to start with I usually recommend one at a time. That way you can see which mods are the trouble-makers.

Depends on the mod. Some mods dont need them. Some mods don't want others using them. Some mods want people to pay to use them. Some mods have them in the description of the mod on the workshop

Ive followed every step exactly how you've done it and when I load up DayZ it tells me it cant find my server. If I delete the mods from the folder then the game can find my server but I've tried multiple variants of simple mods and the server just won't show up. The mods I've been using don't even have XML files so I'm not sure what the issue is.. any suggestions?
Have you uploaded the keys from each mod to the keys folder in your server?
Have you added the mods to the mod list with a semi colon (;) to separate them?

That's why I recommend winscp.
You can just move from your own computers !Workshop folder for filezilla

What happens if there is no xml files in the mods files i am trying to install @DRUGPlus mod?
I see it says if needed I am taking it if there is none you don't need it but if i go into the info file under drug plus mod it does have a types file so would i still do that step or is it only for xml files......ty

Go back through the video and start from the beginning. Set up the ftp again. It's hard to say what went wrong without more info

Try doing those steps again and make sure you press apply.
The workshop folder might not appear if you haven't downloaded any mods yet too.

I have a problem, for every mod i upload to the server i get pbo error when i try to join the server. I also see that the mod does not appear under server listed mods. I’ve done exactly like you, you have any idea ?
Either you haven't added the keys correctly, the mod has been updated since you updated it, the name in nitrado was spelt wrong or you didn't add a ; in the correct place are the most likely answers.

Which is pretty wierd. I have all the mods, they`re refreshed, game files validated before the upload to the server. i followed your instructions on point. Name is correct in Nitrado with the ; . And i always double check when i upload and transfer files that they actually get transferred.
@@hardis0140 so it says client is missing the mod. So that means your dayz game isn't loading the data that the server has. Make sure you do as this error message has said and use the auto mod setup function that the dayz launcher provides.
@@hepskie Yes i have opend the original Dayz launcher. I can see the launcher is installing and updating the mods on my pc, but the issue remains.

I am really struggling to locate the Mod folders even though I have subscribed to the mods from Steam workshop - Any advice would be much appreciated.
Do you mean the !Workshop folder?
@@hepskie Yes I have followed the steps as shown: Steamapps > Common > Dayz > !Workshop. Then the next folder is shown as: !Do_not_change_files_in_these_folders so I proceed to go further and this folder is empty. All hidden folders are showing also.
This is with me already downloading the mods from the Steam client. Any help would be massively appreciated.

Hi following your video step by step, which is a great video by the way but after going through the files on the c drive and clicking on common there is no Day z file there for me. Any idea what i can do please?
Is dayz definitely installed on C drive?

@@hepskie Thank you I found them eventually but the mods aren't working. When I load in, the mods are showing up on the upload list, which I made sure was checked but when looking at my server it says it has 0 mods.

Have you copied the key over from the @modname folders to your servers key folder
Have you made sure that in the mod list you have separated your mods with a semi colon like this @modname1;@modname2;@modname3
Have you restarted your server after adding the mods?
Have you installed all necessary mods for this mods you want to work...for example a lot of mods need @CF to work
My Dayz key is not in the key folder how do i resolve this?
Redownload the server files
Is XML required for all mods or just the mods with the XML folder
It depends on the mod. Generally if they add new textures and items to the game then there will be XML edits needed.
Sometimes you can find the XML edits on the comments section of a dayz workshop page because they're not in the mod folder itself. If you want me to check for a particular mod then I'm happy to help!

If you have discord it would be easier to speak on there. The most likely problem is that you haven't added the types to the xml file. Is the items that area disappearing from a mod?

if I touched some files, I added some objects that were locked, but nothing else, what disappears are the wooden boxes and all kinds of constructions
@@GufyZ its difficult to know whats wrong if I don't know what you changed.
Search the types.xml for the wooden box and make sure its there and check it's values.
