The Lallantop is back with the latest episode of ‘Guest in the Newsroom’ with an Indian stand-up comedian Anubhav Singh Bassi. In conversation with Editor Saurabh Dwivedi, Anubhav Bassi talks about his career in stand-up comedy, experiences from shows at various places, his home-town Meerut, hostel life and a lot more. Bassi’s career as a standup comic started after an open mic in 2017. Bassi was awarded 'Youth Icon of the Year' by Golden Glory Awards in the year 2021. I really like Bassi's comedy. He is very original and honest artist. Bassi is brave so he talked many time about depress and dull phase of his life. I think other youngsters who are depressed, will hopefully get inspiration from him. All the very best to Bassi for his future.

But at 1:25, I found controversy in viewpoint from public. At once we want to be more open about issues in society (where west comedians can even make fun at 9/11 or any socio-political structure) but at the same time we are too sensitive if someone is funny and open hearted. As society it seems we are confused. We want openness and freedom of speech but wants everyone else to be sensitive while talking to us/our society/...
What is your view Saurabh Dwivedi or Anubhav Sir? Want to learn more that when to be sensitive and when to be open how you think that line can be drawn? Could these two things go hand in hand?

Seriously this was almost two hours long interview and I never thought I will watch it till the end But like that person said from the lallantop team it never felt like an interview it was just like a live show hence ended up watching it till the end in one shot. Baaki Bassi bhai I am from mrt and wanted to say that don’t worry and keep cracking jokes on Meerut U r not doing any harm but making mrt a lil more known and famous.
Basically his down to earth nature and simplicity attracts everyone.
When i clicked on this video i thought i will not watch this in one go but man.... Bassi just engaged me in his talk that i dont understand when the video ended its just like a standup show of bassi love this interview no emotional drama,no philosophical talks just lots of fun talks force u to watch full video in one go.
