  • Join us as we visit the Appaloosa Horse Club Museum detailing the history and heritage of the amazing Appaloosa breed. Amazingly, artwork depicting prehistoric horses with leopard spotting exists in prehistoric cave paintings in Europe. In North America, the Nez Perce people of what today is the United States Pacific Northwest developed the original American breed. Settlers once referred to these spotted horses as the "Palouse horse", possibly after the Palouse River, which ran through the heart of Nez Perce country. Gradually, the name evolved into Appaloosa. Being Lebanese, I dearly love Arabians.
And a good few years ago, I was privelidged to see one of these guys in the flesh, I patted him.
I was in awe standing next to him. They have a fearless no nonsense aura and presence, and they're huge.
I'll never forget that guy, such magnificent horses.
I'd get one in a heartbeat if I could.. Damn! ❤💪❤

I did a quick search and it looks like the Appaloosa museum still exists. Looking forward to checking out their videos.

Part of the value our extensive library brings to equine enthusiasts are things they may have never seen before or were produced before their time. We still get to see "The Wizard of Oz" (1939) every year, don't we? Much can be learned from the equine archives, rather than that information be lost in time. In many occurrences, we seem to have the last existing copy of a particular equine related production. Thanks for your comments.
