So, there is nothing wrong with the quest in the Strenuus system. The planet Xawin is where you need to land, but you have to scan for the ship just outside the planet. When you were going over Xawin, there was a quick double-blip. Check out 40:37.

One thing to keep in mind with Mass Effect is that Mass Effect fans will love your content regardless of how uninteresting a quest is. Many of us even stick around when you're reading all planet descriptions out loud for half an hour each video, so you can't really go wrong if you take your time, explore, read and pay attention. When you're _missing_ things because you didn't explore, skipped dialogue or encounters, that's when ME fans complain ;) When you're not paying attention to dialogue or the plot, _that's_ when they get into an uproar 😁 So far, you're doing pretty well I'd say.
Perhaps this is different for your particular audience for other games, so I'll just point this out for you.

Everytime these videos come up, they are instant clicks for me. Loving your journey through these games. As soon as you get past the side mission hump of ME1, it is a wild ride

Remember, you need to directly aim at the target and THEN click the ability in the menu. You've been doing the reverse, that's why a lot of them miss or hit the walls or covers.
In the right of the dialogue wheel, top choices are paragon while bottom are renegade. (When a blue or red choice appears in the left side, obviously take it for a overall better solution. You've been doing it great so far when it comes to choices! Congrats on completing Garrus, Wrex and Tali's "Loyalty missions" in ME1!)
Also, collecting all the turian insignias, Asari writings and mineral/gas deposits does pay off in a funny way in Mass Effect 3.
(And yes, money does carry over alongside your choices and morality level)

So glad you mentioned the codexes! I’m not saying to read though all of them, but I do think you’d enjoy listening to the audio ones while doing another task

personally I think that if people watch like 7+ 2hour long videos of certain game, they are in for that game and for the person who plays it. I don't think doing side quests is a problem. Of course, main things are great for us to see your reaction to lore and events, but as long as you enjoy the game I think most of us will too
now, of course it is your game and you can play the way you want, when comes to money and reducing things to omnigel... we just pointed it out
also there is a vendor on your ship in case you want to get rid of your stuff (he stands close to Garrus, near the table)

Planets with alien life forms: As well as the antelope-type creatures in this episode, there are a few more. If you remember, there were the gas-bags on Eden Prime, there are monkey-creatures on Eletania (not sure if you've been there?), and at least one other I could mention off the top of my head (but I won't 'cos you definitely haven't been there yet...)
Oh, and the thresher-maws, of course. They're everywhere!

The marker for the quest about Garoth's brother is hidden. It's up and to the left a bit from Xawin. You have to get your mouse right on top of it for it to pop up. As another commenter mentioned, it appeared very briefly at 40:37 when you moused over it.

if you had played as a Sole Survivor, Toombs will point out that the vids said Shepard was the only one to escape Akuze, and states.... "who am I to argue?" before killing himself.

You still have a lot of low level stuff in your inventory. It's better to disassemble those, while selling higher level gear, because all gear produce the same amount of omni-gel. Also, on the Citadel there is a vendor which sells Spectre gear, and it's the best in the game.

Sorry, no training wheels on ME1.
However they did put some in ME2 and tons more in ME3.

You're right about the top 2 skill levels representing their weapon specializations. The only exception is Tali, because she's too squishy to go up and personal with a shotgun. She _could_ if only there were more than 3 or 4 Quarian armors in the game and there's only one really good one to be found in the X-59 DLC.
    *Garrus*
Garrus has a tendency to play loose and being frustrated by rules. If the law doesn't catch the bad guys, will you still follow the rules and the law, or will you take the law into your own hands and act out justice by yourself? You're effectively telling him that vigilantes are good, when you let him kill Dr. Saleon. Do you think this influences his personality and perspective later on? Do you think this has consequences or repercussions?
    *Inventory*
You can visit the "Normandy quartermaster", the guy between Garrus and Tali in the cargo hold, and sell your stuff to him. You can also buy stuff from him, but before you do, try visiting the "Requisition officer" in C-Sec Academy at the Citadel first. I think I've watched all your videos, but I could've missed you going there at some point.
    *Toombs*
Depending on your Shepard's backstory, if you've chosen the 'Sole Survivor' part, your Shepard was actually part of that mission on Akuze where you were the only one still alive for the Alliance to find after the Thresher Maws obliterated your unit. In that case, Toombs recognizes you as part of his unit back then, which changes the dynamic and dialogue. So your backstory has more influence on what you experience.
    *Mass Effect 2*
Yeah, ME2 improved on a lot of things, so it feels almost like a very different game. It removed the exploration with the Mako in favor of more level environment and variety. It also got rid of the inventory system in favor of just getting better weapons and armor (while still sticking to the lore of the universe). To be fair, in ME1 there's just too much different weapons that aren't even remotely better, which gets annoying quickly because you keep having to sell/omni-gel them. It also took the criticism to heart that side missions should have more soul to them rather than just shooting things and your squad mates should be more fleshed out, so they did that as well and it's become practically the selling point for ME2, the squad mates personalities.
You probably want to use a particular mod for something though, but let's not spoil it for you yet ;)

Ashley's just a brash soldier, so she can come across as rude. She does have a cynical sense of humor, which tends to bleed over when you talk to her and some people don't pick up on that. The "Sir" she explicitly mentions with that tone is part of that; not disrespecting your title by omitting it, but phrasing it in a way that it almost feels like she's making fun of _having to say_ "sir" because you're her superior. After all, it gets kind of hazy when you're befriending (or even romancing) your commander. As a friend you want her to call you by name, but as a superior officer she's not allowed to and has to call you "sir".
As for the racist part, people get too hung up on that, honestly. If you'd ask your military general if they'd appreciate having i.e. Russian or Chinese military without restrictions in their top secret aircraft, they would consider you insane for sharing your military secrets. Yet, Shepard does exactly that by allowing Garrus, Wrex and even Tali there. So if you call Ashley racist, you have to call your defense ministry and army commanders also racist. It's a matter of military security, not based on race.

@@KingdomAce You did Tali's quest. It was clearing out the geth incursion in the Armstrong Cluster. It's an odd personal mission, because it doesn't show up in your journal until after you've done it. Then, after you speak to Tali, it closes straight away.
