The face framing layers and bangs really make this topper look natural. It adds versatility since you can wear the bangs pulled out or "swooped" to the side. Good choice. Another informative video. You are very natural in front of the camera. ;)

I’m struggling with my first one the Rachel Welsh Alpha Wave finally yesterday I had some front hair adjusted it came with way more in the front then what I was expecting 😅 can’t wait to try it on today. I actually purchased the Courtney topper by Uniwig last year at your recommendation but I still haven't figured out how to wear it and feel comfortable. I have a question on the Megan, it does not appear to come with bangs like the Claire you just reviewed. They are not the same, right? I actually like the bangs on you in addition to the curtain layers.

Hello Lacie! Thanks SO much for these videos, they have already answered a lot of questions for me! I've got one more though that I'm hoping you might be able to help with. I am curious on your opinion on wefting in a topper. Do you feel like it makes a topper sit flatter and maybe more securely? I am on the fence between 2 toppers, one with a mono top and wefting, and the other is a silk topper. I'd prefer the realism of the silk topper but I'm just nervous that it won't sit flat enough. I thought I'd see how you felt about wefting and if you felt it was a help.
Hi there! So I thought I’d hate wefting on a topper but it’s never been a problem in my Uniwigs topper. It sits very flat and I feel like it allows my head to breathe well. I’ve had 100% hand tied caps that were mostly mono with just a silk part and those laid flat top. However, I’ve never tried a full hand tied silk top so I can’t really compare the wefting to something like that. Which silk topper are you looking into?
@@lacie.rodriguezThanks for the response!!! This will be my first topper and I'm so confused! I've been looking pretty hard at the Uniwigs Stella or Bella toppers. I really like the idea of a silk base since they look so much more realistic BUT, it doesnt really matter how realistic the base is if it wont lay flat. One of these toppers (the Stella I think), has a smaller base. I like the coverage of a larger base, but do you think that a smaller base would be easier to get to lay flat? Also, I'm a bit concerned about the hair texture. Sadly, my own hair is super fine so I'm worried that the hair on the Uniwigs topper won't blend very well. What did you think about the hair texture on your Claire topper?
Personally I always err on the larger side for a base. Not only does it offer more coverage but it’s also more comfortable and causes less damage to bio hair because the weight is distributed better. Larger bases still can lay flat 👍 the only disadvantage I see to a larger base is that it’s a little less versatile when it comes to updos. You’ll have a harder time doing a high ponytail with a larger base.
As for hair texture, it really just depends on the piece. Most toppers I’ve seen have fairly fine hair though so you’re most likely going to be fine. My Claire topper hair isn’t as fine as my bio hair but I don’t think it’s noticeable at all. Especially since the topper makes up the bulk of my hair anyway. The only guarantee of finer hair is high quality European which can be very pricey. But I think you’ll probably be fine with Chinese, Indian, Mongolian, or even Brazilian. 🤗 best of luck!!! ❤️

I have a question because I am wanting to get a topper to add more volume to my hair. Is this damaging? You said you had traction alopecia due to a topper. Do you have to wear them because it causes so much damage or do you have alopecia and some toppers make it worse? I just don’t want to ruin my hair.
I like the video and the topper. I am in the market for a topper and have lots of questions. For one, what size would I use? I am petite and do not have a large head. My hair is fine, curly, wavy. I have it cut in layers to give more fullness. I like height on the crown of my head with little or no part. Can you help me select one? I am concerned that I will buy a topper and it will be too thick to blend into my natural hair giving it a "bush look." As you can tell, I do not have a clue on how to select one off the internet. Can you help me?

Of course! It’s actually pretty lightweight though. It has a lot of volume because of the mono top but it’s actually not too much hair. But it can definitely be thinned if you prefer. 👍🏼
I have the Melanie topper and it’s terrible. It’s so frizzy and I’ve tried everything to try to fix it but nothing has work
Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear that! I’ve heard of some people not being pleased with the quality of hair from Uniwigs. I think it also depends on expectations. It is a budget line so most of the hair has some curl/wave/frizz. It’s more processed than higher quality toppers. The products you use on it can also make a big difference too.
Are you still wearing this Claire with halo? I just retrned the regular Claire as it was the wrong colour for me, and also felt loose on my head (I have a small head with contouring that means many pieces do not sit flat). Wondering about the halo, if this might make me feel more secure. Kind of locked into Uniwigs now as I have a big credit with them. I see they still have the Meghan in stock, although discontinued. Did you ever try it?
I do wear it from time to time. The halo does help, it allows me to tighten or loosen as I wish which helps. I haven’t tried the Meghan. 🙂
Wait did that come with the string? Do all their toppers have a string? The fact that it has bangs is crazy real looking!!! I have never seen a hairline look that real! Did your hairdresser cut the bangs into it, it looks like it came constructed with bangs when you took it off with hair in front, but there are no bangs on the one in the link you provided.
Hi there! Yes it did come with the string. Not all their pieces come with it though. My stylist cut the bangs on this piece. It’s just a tiny amount of bangs but makes all the difference! 🙌🏼
Yes it really does...amazing when you took it off they looked like they were "growing" from the front of the unit!!!
why don't you use those velvet headbands underneath that the clips go onto? I'd hate having my few strands getting pulled out by clips!
I do use it from time to time. It feels more comfortable to me personally without it on certain toppers. ☺️
I use a thin head band when I don’t want to clip the clips.

Why would anyone wear human hair wigs? The stories of how they get the hair is very disturbing. NO ONE should support human hair wigs.
I absolutely understand this concern and have heard horror stories. I have also heard of beautiful stories where the donor can make great use of the money they receive in exchange for their hair. But just like purchasing any other product in the world, we can try to work with reputable companies and be mindful consumers. Beyond that, I don’t think anyone should be shamed for wanting to wear a human hair wig. ☺️
