I'm enjoying following you through New Zealand. You two are great!
Try approaching tourism companies for f.o.c (free of charge) on activities. Ive worked tourism in this country and think exposure on your Chanel might benefit them in advertising by more than the cost of charging you. A win win. Great to combat the budget. Happy Days Dave
I was thinking exactly that this afternoon while catching up on their videos!!
I'm going to Christchurch in November for the first time and being shown around by my boyfriend, your videos have given me an idea on what to expect, thank you!
Thanks for tuning in Sara and we hope the videos really help ❤️
Pies, pies and more pies, you can't beat a good pie. Thank you for doing the pie runs at the bakeries, many tourist come over and they freak out at these things, but once you've tried one you will be back for more.
Two rules in life 1)"Always blow on the pie" and 2) there's always room for another.
You’re totally right, love to treat ourselves to pie now and again when we’re on the road 🙂 haha why would you freak out about a pie! 🥧 love the name by the way 😂
Christchurch is a city where even factories have their gardens.
And whether homes are large or small there is always room for flowers.
Such a nice video I really like it.
Lovely countryside, beautiful NZ... I hope to visit soon, thanks for sharing your experience with us...
Barkers products are out of this world ❤
I live in the lower North Island and just love, love, love your videos. Whenever you leave our beatiful country, I hope you will tell your friends to come and visit. Take care.
Hi I'm in Tauranga and been watching since then.Im a kiwi and not been around the south island yet.Love your flowing and relaxed tour of New Zealand.Glad you are enjoying the travels and be watching your ongoing adventure.

Nice video i really like it❤
Very much enjoying the videos!
Hi guys, Marty here. Was great meeting you guys in Dunedin. Thanks very much for your help once again 🙏
Stumbled across your videos and channel. How cool!
Will have to follow along the rest of your journeys
Thanks for the work my friend, Earned us a few quid for our travels 😂 Whats the chances, for anyone we meet they seem to get a recommendation afterwards on youtube 😂
Hi guys been watching your journey and feel I need to mention the glenorchy races on Saturday the 6th of January. Kiwi experience right there.. must do
You guys have to try 'Sanga's Pies' in Cromwell while you are down south. They are new to the game but are absolutely killing it!
Very Nice Sharing
Tekapo is a little gem of a place and a perfect launching spot for Aoraki Mount Cook and the Hooker Valley walk. You guys have really come a long way with your appreciation of a great Kiwi icon, the humble pie (first time I have heard of bacon and salmon)! Glad you stopped at Barkers of Geraldine and the other highlight was Glen's parking attempt. Thanks guys.
I love their venison pie!
That is the biggest 4 square I have seen! 4 squares are always much more expensive than any other supermarkets
McKenzie country is amazing winter and summer. Used to spend a lot of time up there as a kid.
Our fav bakery. Will always have pies there and also buy frozen pies to bring home for future meals
Love Barkers products. Very good quality and tastes homemade.
Geraldine is a really cute little place to explore. Love Mt Cook. Stay there each yr if it's at all possible. Travel fulltime throughout NZ in my Sprinter. Usually down there in the South at this time of yr, for 5 mnths but having a change. Have family near Papanui.
A young person gets to New Zealand and they look beautiful, vibrant, kempt. By the time they reach the South island they're tired, they have itchy bites all over their legs, their hair is greasy, they're sunburnt, and they're splayed out at the library charging their phone, spending as little money as possible so they can stay longer.
Hahahaha 🤣😂🤣 so true. Im just done the norf islan and now in Blenheim, my dad had to send me more money from Siberia as I over spend in norf islan and I'm really gone tan brown and mosquito bbity
Loving your down to earth vlogs guys. Would love to know more about your lives back in Europe. Do you both have jobs when you get home or do you do casual work to save up and travel again? It would be an interesting vlog to do as I think you've inspired a lot of us who wonder how we could achieve this lifestyle.
We must be passing each other over and over at this point.
We stayed the night last night in fairly and now spending a week in Lake Hawea.
Hopefully we see you guys!
were currently in Dunedin :) unfortunately this is usually about 2 weeks behind as editing takes a lot of time haha

Oh that’s super unfortunate!
Was just trying to convince the family to invite you both over for dinner haha.
Enjoy Dunedin! It will be a bit quiet with all the university students away for the end of year break.
Really nice of you from your side Chris! oh man its like a ghost town around here 😂😂@@ChristoKiwi
Beautiful country. Nice video. is it free to flies drone there?
For camp spots look up rankers, shame the observatory wasn't open beautiful view up there, you'll miss the pies when you go back lol, cheers!
The pies don't get the chance to sit in the cabinet all day Glen. They are baking all day pretty much!! Have to to keep up with demand
Correct, the pies are usually baked on sales demand 3-4 times a day in batches,😋
Yup, Christchurch is known for having very changeable weather. One day it could be 30C with no clouds, making it difficult to do anything without melting/burning, then the next day can be 10C, and rainy. And sometimes it can change in the same day too, which is annoying.
On another note, I recommend going to Wanaka. I went there with family in November and quite enjoyed it. Highly recommend the Mexican place 'Amigos'. The chorizo wrap I got there was amazing. You also need to check out Patagonia Chocolates. They have their main store in Queenstown but they also have one in Wanaka, and the Coffee and Cream ice-cream is the best ice-cream I have ever had (and they give you large scoops). I would also suggest checking out Puzzling World, The Wanaka Tree, Crossfire Wanaka (if you're interested in archery/target shooting/clay shooting), and maybe Hook Wanaka - Lake to Plate (You get to fish your own salmon to eat. I don't recommend getting them to cook it up though, either get it cold smoked or cook it yourself). Obviously some of these are more pricey than others so maybe pick and choose.
If youre headed over Takaka Hill, at the very top is a tour of a cave, highly recommended
The mount John Observatory is for the study of the star and space not somewhere for people to sit look at the stars. The McKenzie region is often referred to as big sky country. If you want to look at the star drive out of town a bit to where there are no houses around lake Alexandria is great spot. I would also suggest checking out the running duck if you get a chance. If your in Oamaru try harbour street bakery or delectables bakery. If your in Timaru try u-bake for a good pie.
Lake Tekapo is heaven, especially at certain times of the year. Lake Alexandria also
Oh Awesome,
You may not haves seen this Jam for sale in NZ supermarkets, but it is easily bought in Australian (esp. Woolworths) supermarkets. We buy it all the time. TBH I had it for breakfast this morning on toast.
Believe it or not, but my family an I used to live in that two story, two tone grey house in Geraldine, although it was a different colour-set in those days. In those days I worked at the BNZ Bank, one of 5 banks that had branches in Geraldine. Not bad for a town with a population of only 2000 people.
From India wao very nice nature in newzealand and old car 🚗 nice couple enjoyed . I love your blogs
Thanks my good friend! 🙂
Another gem video. Ok I have your future careers mapped out for you : Open you own pie shop in Dublin with a franchise in Frankfurt. Done and dusted !!
Its nearly 11pm n im craving a fancy pie
Most people who come to NZ end up doing a bit of a 'pie tour' - no one really understands the allure of the Kiwi pie until they've tasted their first - then we gotcha, lol! 😂
You guys will have to try a Sanga’s pie whilst in Dunedin. They come from Cromwell but Grid Coffee in Mornington sell them. 👌🏼👌🏼
Maybe we should! thanks for the recommendation :)
You got no footage of the famous view in Tekapo where alot of tourists go for photo ops? The church of the Good Shepherd!
Hi Robyn , I suggested a few weeks ago that they check out the Church of the Good Shepherd and the bronze dog statue nearly , amazing view of Mt Cook through the church window overlooking the lake . Can't have been of interest to them .
Nice video guys!
Aukland vs Dublin for a place to live?
Hi guys are you coming back up to Auckland?
That meteor shower thing was a complete bust here in the North Island - didn't see a single one! As for those paint scratches, a rub with some cutting compound, then with polish, should get things looking great again. If they're not too deep, just polish should do the job. Use cutting compound sparingly and not too harshly, as it can cut deep into the paint if you're not careful. You've probably used the stuff before, but just in case you haven't...
I saw the meteor shower from my bed in ruawai and it was wicked 👍
It was also a bust that night for us too 🙃 overcast so couldn’t see anything in the end unfortunately! Thanks my good friend, we will be cleaning all the car up with the scratch removal and stuff when selling the car in a few months 🙂 I’ve used that rub on stuff before though and works pretty well
I'm pretty sure mount John Observatory is owned by the University of Canterbury. I was meant to go there when i did an astronomy paper but never went.
That's not an observation place, its a space observatory. You can visit but its not like a place to sit and watch stuff.
Mum and me/I(?) were disappointed with the observatory being closed. Is it ever open?
Queenstown is extremely expensive. The West Coast is truly beautiful but you have to be careful where you freedom camp as it's 85% owned by DOC.
lol .. where did the ' like ' button go ..?
So did you see the meteor showers?
I had a hire car scratched the shit out it get toothpaste rub it in , it passed inspection lol
You could get a permanent job in NZ as official pie tasters
Lupins are actually classed as a weed despite there pretty appearance.
U will need to improve that parking if you want to get the full nz driver licence 😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂 brilliant haha
