No, a greed filled, self serving person is not influenced by a person with a good character. Gender of parent won't matter. Plenty single mothers have responsible productive sons.
Was the mother wrong to yield to that despicable request from her son? Was she wrong? I know she was scared. I can imagine a mother like me not yielding to a wicked, filthy, evil request trusting that spell could be broken with faith, beseeching the Great Power to guide me to a cure for my son. And if none was found, I would choose to accept he reaped what he sowed. He was willing to sacrifice his mother to avoid facing consequences. And once again, to save his self he was willing to subject him and her to absolute filth!
Can you imagine the aftermath for the mother because he being a low vibrational being, didn't even question if something else could be done? He got what he deserved.
