All my friends say i can draw but i can't. All i do is trace but i'm not good at that either, but i was watching speed panting oc so i went on pixlart and i was listening to this and i couldn't even draw the head so i felt like crying. The music made me want to cry even more.

I have been drawing forever. What helped me improve my drawing skills dramatically was a book called, "Drawing on the Right side of the Brain" by Betty Edwards
Listen, lots of people say tracing is inherently bad. But that’s not true. Tracing is a good way to build up skills in art. The problem comes around when people trace a drawing and try to say they made it without tracing. I remember I had this “how to draw dragons” book when I was younger, and I loved this one particular dragon, so when I couldn’t sleep at night, I would take the book and a piece of paper over to my nightlight and use the nightlight as a light box to trace over the dragon. It can help you learn to use less pressure on a pencil and make more confident lines.
Tracing is perfectly fine, plagiarism is not. Eventually you can try to draw an image without directly tracing the lines, just copying it, and then you try your own stuff. If you are going to show it off, just make sure that you let people know it was traced/copied for practice, and credit the original artist.

It’s okay I cry sometimes too and tracing is okay for practice. Just keep drawing and you’ll figure it out, even if it’s hard to look at because you feel like you’re failing. It’s okay, it’s all part of the process

This is my go to mix when I am working on an art project. This mix of songs is honestly just amazing for getting me into the zone. The whole 71 minutes just flows by, I'm super focused, and then when it ends I just start it again. I was doing some work for my job and put this on so I didn't get distracted, but all I could do is think about working on a picture rather than what I do for my job. Truly great mix.

I. LOVE. THIS. I listen to this when reading and drawing. I especially like how it's different from most drawing or reading playlists or songs are which are just Mozart or something. I mean Mozart is great, but it's not as inspiring as this and after a while, it gets boring and all the same. This never gets old. My favorite song out of all of these is 7:12

It’s currently 4:30 in the morning and I’m staying up to finish a drawing for my gf birthday, meanwhile I gotta get up at 7:00 for another birthday and travel around a lot so I won’t have time while I’m out to finish. This music is helping me calm down my stress.

This made me sad and reminded me of what my life used to be like, and it inspired me to draw sad things. I know everyone says this has happy vibes but what I’m getting from it is that it depends on what parts of the music you pick up on. There are just those little things in the music that just remind you of the way things used to be. It’s beautiful and inspiring, and it lets me know that things can get better as time goes on.
