I have some unsolicited advice for you HOB! Try exercising on an ergonomic rowing machine. I have Chronic turf toe/ ball of my right foot has scar tissue. My last High ankle sprain/ calcaneous also on my right foot didn't set right and my left shoulder and shoulder blade have some scar tissue. So basically my body was getting out of alignment. The rowing machine using proper form put my body back in alignment. I would call it a diy life hack to stay in alignment forever. You can find Concept2 used for like $500. These machines are commercial grade and last forever. Congrats on your sobriety.
Your wife would love the machine! and it definitely helped me in the bedroom. When you do 8,000 simulated sex strokes a week the stamina and finishing moves become things of legend.
