  • @iamchandrasekharreddy2294

Sir, can you please cover about the Vcls Vms in 7.0 and why vmware introduced Vcls vms.
    It would be helpful.

      Hi Sir,
Please refer to the following video for this topic - vSphere Clustering Services (vCLs) - Video Time - 1:40:52

Hi master, in case of host failure HA will takes charge and migrates VM to another host within a cluster with minimum downtime.
What was the process in choosing the MASTER and SUBORDINATE hosts?
How this process will takes place if we have a single datastore( let’s take we have tiny VMs consume less resources ie, in this case single VM can provided ample of resources to all HOSTS by this single datastore)?

      Hi Master,
It is a Good Question and below are the details for your review.
vSphere HA Master Host Election Process :
To determine which host is the master host, an election process takes place.
The host that can access the greatest number of datastores is elected the master host.
If more than one host sees the same number of datastores, the election process determines the master host by using the host Managed Object ID (MOID) assigned by the vCenter server.
Usually, the election process for a new master host completes in approximately 15 seconds and the rest of the ESXi hosts become subordinate Hosts.
      Thank You
