- "Eureka! Or... Yooreek-a? After intense experimentation, it was discovered that it's possible for the Ethereal elements to combine beyond Ethereal Workshop! However, this process is not perfect. Due to the instability of the Ethereal elements, this process causes some elements to "Twist" in new ways, becoming stronger and more erratic. It appears what was once thought to be mere experiments by Zarroe are, truly, a whole new clade of "Twisted Ethereals..." let's just call them Twisthereals, for short.
Well, the cat's out of the bag now! After its strangely seamless escape from Zarroe's brain, YieYie's true nature was hotly contested. Perhaps it wasn't an ethereal at all...? However, for a being as scatterbrained as YieYie, it's hard to get a straight story as to how its mere existence is possible. Is it from another dimension? Another timeline? Is it simply more powerful than once believed? No matter the case, its craftiness remains, and so do its tendencies to attempt to snatch parts from unsuspecting ethereals... though it's gotten a new habit, as well, in throwing pizzas from the roof of the Ethereal Island castle down at the Bellowfish who refuse it access to their wooden suits. Aye, YieYie!"
Nova had reached out to me saying that he saw people really wanted the Workshop predictions to stay in future waves, so I immediately (perhaps annoyingly) began pestering him with ideas for how to turn these guys into their own sub-class, so they can exist beyond just Workshop. To tell the truth, they didn't really need a lore reason to stay, but I like lore... and, hopefully, this is only just the beginning of these guys' little pilgrimage! :D I hope you like this just as much as I do, it's always an honor seeing the things I make be fully realized and animated like this.

So your idea of adding the fanmades is by saying “Nah, if you breed an X’rt on Ethereal Island you just get YieYie because it’s outside the Workshop?”

I'd imagine how you'd get YieYie on Workshop and X'rt on Ethereal Island is by teleportation; YieYie from ethereal, X'rt from workshop

The whole Twisted Ethereal concept sounds very interesting, also what does that mean for the original ethereal triples and quads, will they get the same treatment?
The Twisted Ethereals mainly serve to give our workshop ethereal predictions a forever home, so I wouldn’t expect too much with the official workshop monsters in this series. Never say never, though!

I do kinda like the whole twisted element concept. Though that being said, i don't really think shadow is this guy's defining element. With the fact that the elements are being "twisted", maybe they could become some kind of sub-element. In this instance, the yieyie is generally very wacky, so maybe given how the shadow element kinda ties into fear and looking kinda scary, maybe the twisted version of shadow could be something like "crazy" or "nonsensical". Like how fear is linked to both the unknown, and pushes people to make irrational descisions. Not to mention that the more literal darkness based interpretation of the element shown by pentumbra could tie into how this monster's intentions are shrouded in darkness, and none of the other monsters know if it's actions have any deeper meaning or reasoning, or if he's just weird.
Actually, maybe the crystal element could also work as a twisted element for this guy. The crystal element is sometimes linked into tranquility and stuff, as well as maybe perception given the element's whole thing with spacetime, and the fact that crystals refract light, changing our perception via altering the trajectory or coloring the light and such. so the element being "twisted" could tie into something like that, where the monster has no real peace of mind, and their perception is screwed up, as they are perceiving throughout nearby spacetime without any rhyme or reason, hence being so scatterbrained as they are taking in multiple versions of everything around them at once. Almost like their mind jas been shattered. Fitting considering how fragile a lot of crystals can be.

This is a really neat idea, so I have questions:
Can more than one ethereal element be twisted on a triple element ethereal? Stating the bio this is meaning if the crystal element were to be twisted for yieyie as well, or if it were to be twisted alone, it would make two entirely new monsters.
