- All the inbuilt weapons for all frames in one vid.
(The G Frames damage output is so much higher then the other 2 is cause i recorded that one first and was near the end of my 3rd PT so I had Soul was active.)
Some of the finishers in SRW have the pilot using advanced prototype weapons meant to change the course of a war, some of them use ancient magical shenanigans capable of destroying entire armies, and some just chuck a full fledged black hole at the enemy.
Kai just turns off the auto-pilot.

I think Matthew meant Kai's auto-pilot, not the Gespy's auto-pilot. As in, he actually pays attention to you, instead of just killing you and going for his next victim... target! I meant target!

@@yummystew2 More like Kai IS the auto-pilot. He was a member of the original Aggressors Team, so he pretty much helped write the book on piloting Personal Troopers.
It might be a mere mass-produced grunt among mecha in the SRW setting, but put the Gespenst in the hands of a master, and watch enemies crumble like tinfoil!
The Gespy always had the highest performance among the grunt units. That's even more impresive when you realize that the Gespy is an outdate model, technology wise, compared to the lions and huckys. That shows how important is to have the imput of someone like Kai Kitamura when you design a mecha.
It like the Thunderbolt 2 of the grunt suits. The airforce has yet to design a better plane of its type, they just build updated versions.
If they had given Kai a super robot in early OG, there wouldn't be any game left to play. He already destroyed everything.
@@lenlimbo The overly high performance lead to a big cost to build it, which was why they replaced it with the Lion and then the MP Huckies which were less impressive in performance but also cheaper, which they thought was enougj for grunts. In fact, the only thing lacking in the early Gespy was it couldn't fly, which was rectified in the newer renditions.
@@Izumabakumatsu I know, but the technology is, in theory, still outdated compared to huckies and lions. It's still the better "grunt" unit.
That said, the prototype for the Huckies may still be the scariest prototype of them, all, if nothing else because of the black hole drive.

also, it's "morale", Kai usually go beat up bad guys and bad guys don't have any moral to begin with, how you gonna break something that are not there?

Considering there are no normal Gespenst Mk II M's anymore after they were all refitted as part of the Halloween Plan, I think we can forgive them for using the Mk II M Kai's instead.
In the hands of Kai Kitamura, the Gespenst might as well be a super robot.
I can't believe...that the Gaia Saber guys are using Itsurugi Industries mechas. Don't they know that the Lion and all of it's variants suck so bad?

To be fair, the Steel Dragons use a fair few Lion variants as well...but clearly, the Sabers got all the shitty ones that were on clearance. :p
The Steel Dragons use prototype Lions piloted by Aces.
3rd form is the best, Kai'a awesomeness really shines in melee combat.

Gespy kick is exclusive for Gespenst S only - i really wonder if they would make use of other character from SRW 4S anymore ( Lenonjayce Starlord or Mina Likling)

really? i thought those big robotank was a different model. i played SRW OG 1 so my first interaction with one of them schulward was on that exotic chick.
she IS hot so i kept her on my first playthrough before i learned how to unlock certain mechs by achieving better results in combat and initiating some sort of event. even back in OG 1, rai is a badass, mass-produced mech or not, he can kill anything if given some good stat boosts. too bad ryu got nerfed a little in OG 2 or rai would have become an old coot stat wise. maybe its for the best or ryu would have been too op with SRX and R-Gun.
agreed. he is like a meme now on how broken he can be sometimes. he is broken on OG 1 but banpresto done fucked up and made him more powerful than missingno and his OG 1 iteration combined. at frigin level 1. with no stats boost. what the F banpresto? you nerfed ryusei but made kyosuke a cheat? cmon.

The Jet Phantom looks more generic than it was in Gaiden but everything else is good nonetheless.
Alpha Gaiden had some of the best OG unit animations.
wait wait wait I thought gespents got canned after the events of og for the hucklebein why are they still being rolled out assuming that MP stands for mass production.
The existing Gespenst received upgrades following the Shura Rebellion in OG Gaiden as part of the Halloween Project

In a nutshell it was a plan proposed by Kai to upgrade many of the currently active Gespenst units to bring them up yo speed, the Type RV is one of the results of the plan
