Elimination method had to go eventually as the difficulty level has been increasing gradually over the years. Major shift for me was weightage on current affairs. Felt like sirf static se ab kaam nahi chalega

I have given my first attempt today and UPSC has removed the method of elimination... From my today's experience i must say to you that you should have to prepare very well coz the level is increasing day by day....
Even if one prepare to the best he can not be sure about prelims 😢

Guys shall we make a group for answers writing....although we dont know whether we will clear prelims or not but one day will clear it definitely....so why shouldn't we try for answer writing in advance

Along with new pattern, questions ratio was unpredictable.
Mostly questions was from history and polity. Very few from economics and geography.
It seems like cutoff will be very less this year.

I am in class 12th right now going to give my first attempt in 2027 after watching this video and reading all the comments now i feel like i have to starting studying from today itself....😢
Overall paper was though and unpredictable. Unpredictable in the sense current affairs ka weightage has gone up unexpectedly. Students who had strong hold on static also felt that bas ab only static se nahi hoga. Current affairs ke bhi jo questions puche vaha bhi high conceptual understanding jaruri thi. Nevermind we all are upsc aspirants, will surely analyse what went wrong and how can we improve ourselves and also adapt with changing exam Trend.
Ps- Yeah this was my first attempt. I have realised some of the areas of improvement in me. Have to give the respect that this world's toughest exam deserve.
