As a patriots fan one thing I loved about the ravens but more importantly respected was that their defense wasn’t scared at all of Brady and the offense, those times they beat us, they played hard and outsmarted us. I have nothing but respect for the ravens 🤟🏽

Joe Flacco barley did anything in the 09 playoff game but he was really good in those other games. Playoff Flacco was something else

Those 4 out of 6 years (‘09, ‘11, ‘12 and ‘14) the Ravens and the Patriots met in the playoffs were some the most memorable games I ever watched, will be interesting to see what Sunday brings.

I loved the 2011 afc championship game only because that was the first game I actually ever really watched. It’s crazy how that Tom Brady qb sneak dive was his only career game winning rushing td.

Damn, I feel so old. I was only a sophomore in high school. I would say from 2008-14 are some of the best years for my Ravens. This game alone sparked a pivotal rivalry for these two teams.

@@javinlawrence7326 same! He kept that rivalry alive tbh with the likes of Ray Lewis and Ed reed. I remember when Lewis retired I was a bit upset because I missed that fire the two played with. I think it’ll be a great game still, we have two young QBs who will be the future of the nfl and will write their own history.

Yea I remember this game for various reasons, among them Brady being a BITCH complaining to the refs and getting flags in his favor. But yea Clayton always dropped big passes like the end of this game.

The Pats, Ravens and Steelers were the Beasts of the East for nearly 2 decades. Hell throw in the Colts as well they had a good run also and anytime 1 of these teams played againest the other you knew it was gonna be a banger or lead to one in the rematch. Good times.

Back in those days it felt like not only the Ravens beat the Pats a lot, but every time the Pats DID win, it felt like a very lucky break, this game being a prime example. This game didn't exactly give me much confidence going into the playoff rematch (especially with Welker out by then)
I've been a Patriots fan since 2003, this was the first Patriots game I ever attended. Don't know why it took so long, but I had a great time!

2009 was a great season even though I'm a packers fan but the nfc was loaded that year with atleast 4 super bowl caliber teams and the Afc was just the colts and patriots with everyone else being surprises or disaapiointments
no, it was just colts, we sucked bad that year, I expected us to miss the playoffs, but we scraped by barely, and ofc ravens ended up obliterating us
The pats made the playoff this season after missing it the previous season, albeit finishing with a worse record than last season thanks to having Tom Brady. Go figure

Yep, we have the ravens number in the playoffs, and games that mean something more times than not, the pats have our number, especially in the playoffs, and the pats have struggled against the ravens in the playoffs before. That’s how the cycle has been going over the years.

That 2009 Patriots team was such a huge disappointment! They had no identity.
This was the game the officially made me hate Brady. The moment Suggs grazed him on the leg and he's pointing to the ref to the throw the flag and they did, that was officially it for me.
I give Brady a pass for that. He was coming off a catastrophic knee injury. Of course he was touchy about ppl being near his legs.
I absolutely hate same-place-finisher games👿👿👿👿. This game should've aired on MASN (Ravens) and NESN (Patriots) it's devastating, disgusting, embarrassing and humiliating that this game happened in 2009. Same-place-finisher games should only be allowed to air on regional networks such as Bally sports, NBC sports regional networks, AT&T sportsnet. The NFL really needs to get rid of same-place-finisher games altogether or at the very least don't have them be nationally televised but have them be televised by regional networks

2013 was by far the most forgotten and in my opinion the most underrated Brady era Patriots team. Lost guys like Welker, Lloyd, Branch, Hernandez and only having Gronk for like 6 games and having to rely on Edelman, Amendola, Hooman, Dobson and Thompkins. Still managed to get to the AFC title game despite losing to one of, if not the best offense ever in the 2013 Broncos. If anything, it laid the foundations of not only the second New England Dynasty, but also the end of the Brady era with them drafting Jimmy G the following offseason.

From 2009-2014 this absolutely was a rilvary. The Patriots, Ravens, Colts and Steelers were the class of the AFC for basically a decade.
I remember how piss poor the officiating was in Brady's favor. Especially it being the year after the ACL Tear. This game right here is where he became a CryBrady.
