I am a church instrumental musician, however, past visits to my fathers Church of Christ will always be dear to me . . . . and the beautiful vocal harmonies forever etched in my heart and mind. What a blessing to listen to your congregation. Absolutely beautiful . . . . only angels in Glory would compare !!! Thanks, Chadwick
Thank You, Lord Jesus Christ for sacrificing Yourself for my sins!! ` "Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures: And that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures" 1 Cor.15:1-4
Surely, repentance is necessary. Christ Jesus said so (Luke 13:3). And baptism must be more than "important," since in his Great Commission, he also commanded his disciples to make disciples, "baptizing them" (Mt. 28:19). The wording of the verse suggests that at least part of the way one makes disciples is BY baptizing them.
If baptism is not essential, it is optional. And if it's optional it's not even really very important. If we're already saved prior to being baptized, it isn't essential or important. Yet, as F.F. Bruce has said so succinctly: "The idea of an unbaptized Christian is not entertained in NT."
If our salvation were "finished" at Calvary, then why won't everyone be saved? If Christ Jesus did all that can be done and we have no part in the salvation process, it seems there'd be no reason to exclude anyone from Heaven. Our deeds would be worthless, useless, irrelevant. But if we have nothing to do in our being saved, why does Scripture say: "Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling" (Phil. 2:12b)?
'then why won't everyone be saved?' A question I often ask myself as salvation is so easy, yet the answer is simple, God gave us free will. So people have the choice to receive, or reject Him :( The verse in it's entirety is Paul addressing already saved Christian brethren at Philippi, he says to 'work out', not 'work at' your own salvation. If we had to work for it, God didn't need to die on the cross, and if we can lose it, then God was lying when he said 'And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.' John 10:28 KJV. No scripture is of any private interpretation, but if we are to say that Gods word cannot contradict itself (which it can't) then I'd say that Paul was encouraging Christians to dig into Gods word and examine their own selves to 'work out' just what a miracle it is that God Almighty did what He did for His creation.

Beautiful singing! Where is this church?
They ARE the church. The entire congregation. That's why in the title it says "Congregational Singing".
