    Hello Dr, I am a doctor as well from Pakistan graduated in 2006 and presently I am in the UK and have done my masters here, I want to practice as a GP but don't want to appear in any exam. I have heard that now doctors from Pakistan no longer need to take a license exam in Ireland and can practice medicine just by taking a language proficiency test. Does this also implement in my case too or its just for the recent graduates? Kindly reply at your earliest. Thank you.

      Make sure by visiting the Irish Medical Council's website that you have completed your House Job in Pakistan as per the requirements listed on their website. If not, you will have to do extra exams called PRES exams. Once you finish those exams you can successfully register with the Irish Medical Council.
      One thing Dr Rida did not explain properly is that you always apply for the Letter of Good Standing once the Medical Council requests that because the Good Standing Certificate comes with an expiry date of 3 to 6 months.

      @@dranonymous3090 I am not sure how to respond to that. See, there is demand for both and you will never hear about unemployed Gynae or Derma doctors in Ireland. However, in terms of acute skill shortage there is always Anesthesia, and they even let people with Pakistani qualifications of Anesthesia in Ireland.
      Generally speaking, in Ireland there is huge shortage of Medical Health professionals at all levels.

      I see.. actually I'm so confused.. many people just make me so skeptical of the thought of going there... Like it's too difficult

      @@dranonymous3090 This is typical of most people around us. As soon as someone starts to think differently than the Group, they start to discourage him/her and try to bring them down to their own level. People who think differently pose challenges to the eco-system they live in. People who think differently dare to set standards for themselves and others that are higher than the norm. That is why other people initially discourage them and then later dislike them. Courage, bravery and overcoming the fear of losing friends are some of the traits of Change Makers. Good luck!

      This is for medical doctors only. A separate body deals with the BDS doctors and not the Irish medical Council

    Sir can you please explain about this house job how to do this and is it best for the fresher doctor and what is meant by this house in

    • @Adilrajasoldierspeaks9702
      @Adilrajasoldierspeaks9702 Před 2 lety

      I know this process firsthand.
      In the Irish Health system, around 30% of doctors currently working are Pakistanis or British Pakistanis.
      Any questions, please let me know.
