Not sure we can compete with Spurs if they are in the mood. We leave so many gaps because Eddie demands that we attack at home. Wouldn’t it be nice to have strong 1v1 defenders with recovery pace.

What is the obsession with continuous evolution and growth? For example, would you exchange Isak with Halland, just because Halland is the top goal scorer? Exchange Bruno with KDB? Joelinton with Rodri? Pope with Ederson or Allison? Just because the other players are sort of a level above even if our guys collectively are a good team? Once adequate players are brought into the squad do we need to chop and change every transfer window? Would the same apply to the manager? Should the club go for signing Pep, Klopp, Ancelotti, Alonso and so on... so that the club can continuously evolve?
It's the nature of football that you have to always buy new players as players age out of their peak performances and some transfers don't go well etc. There's two ways to improve a squad. One is as you say to replace Bruno with kdb for example but it's a very expensive swap and kdb is in his 30s.
The other way is to replace players like dummett and Ritchie with younger better players. That way they will make the starting 11 better by challenging for spots.
What's it like being a journalist for you own club? Do you ever not report stories as it would potentially scupper a transfer or harm the club in some way?
Good question! Best thing I can say is it’s about finding a balance. I wouldn’t ever want to harm the club but it is my job to report information I hear.
