Our Story:
We are four years into a seven year effort of transforming 20 acres of "Piney
Grove" in Northwest Florida into our dream homestead/mini farm to be filled
with animals and joy. We plan to have a variety of miniature critters on our
pastures, raise free-range chickens, grow fish in our pond, garden
organically, plant fruit and nut trees, and harvest wild game. Our goal is
to escape the stresses of corporate life and embrace all that country living
has to offer as we enter the next chapter of our lives. Follow along on our
journey!

Great observations and food for thought!
The original bracket broke but we love the concept and location: czcams.com/video/GSLwj46EiJU/video.html
That’s a nice toolbox setup! I struggled to find one that was right for the BX23S because the backhoe and seat flipping, etc…. I ended up with mine in the foot area and I do like it.
The toolbox struggle is real!! Thanks for watching Lucas. B&D
Looks like a well designed piece Brad. I went with a different tool box on my L series pretty much right out of the gate. I you are contemplating the log chain box, I would certainly go with it. I think that you will find it ever so handy to have a chain with you on the tractor.
Hey Gary. I've tried several different toolboxes and so far I like this one. I lost my favorite chain out of my FEL bucket one time and it took a year to find it! Amazing how a chain can blend in with the grass! Take care. B&D
@@PineyGroveHomestead , everyone's applications are different. I got my L2501 to mow my pasture and drag up tops of downed trees. I learned a couple things from you tube rather quickly that really helped me.
I learned that having a chain saw mounted on the tractor and also having a lg chain box mounted to the tractor as well were 2 really handy things to have. The tool box was a no brainer as well. I have found you tube to be very helpful for tips and ideas as well as the friends that I have made along the way.
I had the exact same Bxpanded tool box kit for my BX2370. I mounted exactly according to the instructions. After about 3 years of use the bracket broke off completely. It failed between the area where it clamps to the ROPS and the area that holds the ammo box. I saw that it vibrated quite visibly at certain engine speeds that happened to be the same speeds for operating the mower deck and snow blower. The bracket seemed to be made of thick enough metal and sturdy eight to stand up. Apparently not.
I had to get mine welded! Updated video: czcams.com/video/GSLwj46EiJU/video.html
Nice setup Brad, great explanations 👍🏻. I have a similar ammo box. Happy Easter Sunday Brad and Deb 🙋🏼♂️👍🏻🙂
Happy Easter Luc! Hope the snow has stopped! B&D
@@PineyGroveHomestead almost all gone 👍🏻🙋🏼♂️
Wish I had seen this last year. I mounted my factory box to the fender. It’s actually really handy spot but I was reluctant to drill holes in my fender
Oh no....I just couldn't put holes in my fender!! Thanks for watching. Brad&Deb
I am in need of one of these!
I'm still liking it!! Thanks for watching. Brad&Deb
Nice. When I added the backhoe on my l3200 they gave me the bracket. What I really need is something for the kx71.
I almost went with that left side bracket....had it in the cart at Messicks, but I think I would have regretted it. In a couple of my videos, you can see me carrying my tools in the excavator bucket, and in one, I balance my chainsaw on my front blade....not ideal, but saves me some time. Thanks for watching. B&D
Pretty cool toolbox, Brad. That ROPS design doesn't leave any room to mount it lower. I hope it works out for you!
Thanks David. So far, so good! B&D
Nice video! Very thorough and informative. I have a 1975 Ford 2000 with a loader, but no ROPS. I wonder if the company has an option for my tractor.
We did a follow-up to this video because the bracket cracked. czcams.com/video/GSLwj46EiJU/video.html It's a great location, just needs a stronger bracket to attach to the ROPS.
Go idea on the new one.on the old on and the one on my Massey i used a 3pt high pin instead of wire it was easier for me.
Amazing how important these things are to tractor owners, yet manufacturers don't spend a lot of money in giving us something useable from the factory! Thanks for watching. Brad&Deb
@@PineyGroveHomestead yea I know I keep all my pins and shear bolts in there. And my hammer.
The hammer is kinda important. It was the same one glad used on the muel implements then the 8end and the first massy with dad to now its on a 08 one. Been used for a 100 or so years on the same fields.
ROPS long “O”.
Won't the top link hit that?
No, we've had no problem with the top link in this location even with the post hole auger. The toolbox thin metal bracket did crack, so we had to have it welded. Video here: czcams.com/video/GSLwj46EiJU/video.html
It’s too small. I have one, works good but still too small
I still like the toolbox but the bracket broke. Here was the fix: czcams.com/video/GSLwj46EiJU/video.html
