    Very cool video, thanx. I´m really exited about this game and of course more videos.
    I think you are alowed to have more than 2 cards in your reserve during daytime. At night, you have to discard down to 2.

    Nice 7 wonders duel base game. Looks Earthborne adjacent with all the multicolor dice & "Days." I like the fading away Lo5r creatures. & def like the pricing structure.
    Hope the game succeeds

      @@foyoGames I still haven't decided whether I'll back for more than $1, but they stretch goals are certainly packing their boosters with value: more rares, unique alt arts, etc.

      @@runiverse2301 Inticing. It's definitely popular at 2 million pledged. When you already have printed the demos, that's an extra decision to make. I may just go for 2 decks and call it a day. But the flippability too, if it hits 4mill, I may just grab a few boxes.

    • @runiverse2301
      @runiverse2301  Před 6 měsíci +1

      @@foyoGames Yeah I'm not big on speculation, but if the game does any good at all, these KS boxes seem pretty stacked with all the stretch goals.

    I think for the fog/land cards, I think you could just use minisnaps which have no top/bottom

    Thanks for the video! Have you considered backing at all? What are your current thoughts on the Kickstarter?

    • @runiverse2301
      @runiverse2301  Před 6 měsíci +1

      I'm currently in for $1, just to follow the updates. The boxes are certainly getting stacked, with all the extra rares, alt arts, etc. It's pretty tempting.
      I just know I wouldn't play much-I still have Grand Archive and Sorcery and new Keyforge that I've hardly played.
      Also, the premium token upgrades feel like a must, and they're pretty pricey. (I don't know what quality of cardboard comes in the starter decks, but if they're thick enough, I'd be happy with that. If they're cardstock, that's basically trash.)

    • @calebcottle_roundnet

      @@runiverse2301 That’s totally valid. Also the new KeyForge content is great! I’m excited to get my hands on those new scrapyard effects!

    Thanks for the video! While I like the traveling system (reminds me of Lord of the Rings CCG somewhat, one of my favorite card games), there's too much tracking involved, which makes it clunky.. Also, these kind of printing idea doesn't really work for people wanting to print cards outside of big countries, unless they want to pay shipping for cardboard. Not really a fan of the "card > mana" and the "+1 mana per turn only" (I wish someone invented new stuff!), dice rolling (for a competitive game, really?), etc..
    A lot going against this game out of the gate for me! But I like many aspects of it, like not knowing what the terrains will be or not knowing what to save to close the game. Anchoring and Fleeting remind me of the LCG Lot5Rs FATE system, but it is still well implemented. The rarity versions of the same cards is different. It is simple enough that having 2 Decks to try once could be enough.. we'll see what the Kickstarter has in store.

    • @Fritzgar
      @Fritzgar Před 6 měsíci +3

      I really like the 'draw 2 and turn 1 into mana' because you get cardselection and the chance to draw a useless card is way lower than in something like mtg. Of course a new resource system would be cool but this is a perfected version of the 'classic' system imo.

    • @runiverse2301
      @runiverse2301  Před 6 měsíci

      Totally agree about the mana system! Magic did it first and best in my opinion. Gotta disagree about dice rolling though ☺️
      But yeah, it's a mix! We'll see what they have to offer.

    • @havenfractal
      @havenfractal Před 6 měsíci

      If you're interested in TCGs with different mana systems, you may be interested in KeyForge. While I appreciate the whole "grow over time" effect that you get with Magic/Pokemon/Lorcana/Altered, KeyForge is interesting in the fact that no cards have costs. You can play as many cards as you like, but only from one "house" of your deck at a time. It makes each turn feel impactful since you can always play at least 2 cards, usually more.

  • @Skrotetor
    @Skrotetor Před 6 měsíci +1

    Very nice explanation and video, thanks for putting this up! Art is good but way too "cute and cartoony". Also, looks very fiddly with too many tokens, icons, calcs and dice to keep track of.. doesn't seem streamlined. Not sure it's something I would play over other tcg. Also, doesn't seem to create any tension and/or climatic moment. Feels kind of underwhelming.

    • @runiverse2301
      @runiverse2301  Před 6 měsíci +1

      I disagree about the art (I love the style!), but I totally agree about the tokens and calculations.
      I also disagree about the climatic moments. There was a lot of tension in deciding which expedition to play to, and I imagine things would get even more exciting with higher-power cards (demo deck play always suffers a bit…).
      Still, not sure it's for me-or you, apparently! I hope my videos help people find, and avoid, the games that are right, or wrong, for them.

    Or you could not sleeve the locations..?

    • @runiverse2301
      @runiverse2301  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Yep! Absolutely. That's why I mentioned, "as TCG players are inclined to do." Most players I've observed prefer to sleeve their cards (including me) and wouldn't feel comfortable playing without protection, even if they're not being shuffled.

    Its certainly a unique and creative take on the goal of the game (not just reduce life to zero), but im not sure that its compelling or interesting to me personally.

    • @runiverse2301
      @runiverse2301  Před 6 měsíci

      Yeah... Though they certainly have a lot of knobs and mechanisms to play with for different card effects, which is always exciting for TCG design space. My biggest holdup with the gameplay is having to replay stuff each round cause the creatures don't last.
